Chapter 121 – Existential crisis?

I decided not to say anything to Hestia, especially since Lili is with us. But, of course, Hestia could tell sothing is off. I leaned close and whispered to her, "I'll explain everything later."

Hestia looked worried, but I gave her a reassuring smile.

"Isn't he handso, Goddess? Doesn't he look even better than before?" Lili said as we sat down for breakfast. "His hair looks great. I told him not to cut it, but he insists he's going to!"

"What?! You're going to cut it? Leave it as is—you look good like that," Hestia said.

Maybe I really should keep my hair long for a while.

After breakfast, I finally decided to test the "EX Technology" skill I had received earlier. I excused myself from the table and went to my room. I asked Lili again to leave

alone and not disturb .

She obediently stayed downstairs.

"But how does this work? The only description of the skill is…."

[Allows the user to utilize modern technology in a dieval world.]

Danmachi can be considered a dieval world, correct? There isn't much technology here. But this is so vague. It says I can use it but doesn't specify if I can create tech.

Besides my computer, I didn't bring any other tech with . I don't even know where my phone is.

If I had a video ga console in my room, that'd be nice. I don't even have a TV.

'So, this skill was created for

to use my computer. It'd be amazing if I could create things I used in my world for this one. It would change the world a lot.'

Maybe I'll gain that ability in the future.

Since I couldn't do much with what I had, I left the room disappointed.

###

I'll go to my old room, which I haven't visited in a long ti. Ever since I moved to this mansion, I never went back. Hopefully, no one's broken into it.

Well, it might not be possible for others to enter without my permission.

"Lili, I'm going to my old house. Do you want to co?"

"Yes, I do!"

"And you, Goddess?"

"Hm? Are you sure? I thought you had sold that place or sothing."

"Of course not. All my important things are still there. So, do you want to co with us? Sothing fun might happen."

"Sothing fun?"

"Yes, you'll be surprised."

"Alright, let's go then."

I left the mansion with Lili and Hestia.

I don't mind them knowing about the computer. It'd be even better if I could use the internet or sothing. If the internet is available, I must be careful not to show them anything related to the Danmachi novel or ani.

What happens when a fictional character discovers they're part of a story? Would they have an existential crisis? I'm curious.

Maybe I could try it with a character I don't care about.

I went to my room with high expectations. When I entered, I was hit with a wave of nostalgia. It had only been a few days since I last visited, but it felt like years! "It slls so nice in here."

For so reason, it did sll pleasant. There was no dust or bad odor.

It seed like it had been cleaned recently.

"This is what I wanted to show you," I said, sitting in my ergonomic chair and pressing the power button on my computer. The LEDs inside lit up, and "Asus" appeared on the monitor.

It's on!

"Wow, what is this? What are those lights? Is it magic?" Lili asked.

"Luan, is this dangerous?" Hestia seed concerned.

But I remained silent, just admiring the Windows boot screen.

Once Windows was running and I started moving the mouse across the screen, I felt like I was in paradise. All the gas I had downloaded... Everything is still here!

Even the internet is working!

"Luan? What is this thing?" Hestia asked, coming closer.

I snapped back to reality.

"Oh, this is called a computer. Didn't I tell you about it before? It's sothing from the city where I was born. It's amazing—it can store things, you can play gas, access the internet."

"Internet?" Hestia and Lili tilted their heads in confusion.

"Haha… It's a bit hard to explain. But a computer is like a kind of magic that lets you see images, play gas, and write like it is on paper. It can do a lot of things."

"I still don't quite get it, but it's amazing. Is it like a magical artifact?" Lili asked.

"I guess you could call it that."

I started showing them how the computer worked. I displayed images and videos. I also showed how to use the mouse and type on the keyboard. And, of course, the most important thing: how I'd be writing my book using it.

As I began typing and the words appeared rapidly on the screen, Hestia and Lili were ecstatic.

It was all so new to them.

They were amazed—it was the most amazing thing they had ever seen.

I wonder what they'll think when I show them a ga. But I'm afraid they might get addicted.

I rember a story where people from a dieval world got access to modern gas and beca addicted. I don't want that to happen to them.

'But honestly, I'm curious about the internet.'

I showed them everything but avoided opening the browser, afraid sothing inappropriate might pop up. But when I finally opened it… the last page I had accessed appeared.

P*rnhub.

I turned off the computer imdiately.
