Vivian Quincy was certainly lucky to have been saved by Hayden Kaye.

If Hayden Kaye hadn’t reacted so quickly, Vivian and Beanie would have been crushed by that car.

The more Wanda Quincy thought about it, the more upset she beca, and her dislike for Hayden Kaye intensified.

She said acidly, "No matter how good you are to Vivian Quincy, she doesn’t have eyes for you."

"That’s none of your business," Hayden Kaye scoffed.

Wanda Quincy said, "If Vivian Quincy really cared about you, she wouldn’t have left with your Ninth Uncle just now. Haven’t you realized? In her eyes, Jasper Ford is more important than the man she dated for six years."

"Your personality hasn’t changed one bit after all these years. You’re still just as disgusting." Hayden Kaye scoffed in contempt. "I don’t know what’s gotten into my Ninth Uncle, falling for a woman like you. If I were him, I would’ve kicked you to the curb ages ago. You wouldn’t even have a chance to speak."

"You’ve gone too far!" Wanda Quincy roared in fury.

The paradic in the ambulance heard their argunt and didn’t want to get involved, but it looked like they were about to co to blows, so he had to interject. "This is an ambulance. Please be mindful of your conduct."

Hayden Kaye said, "Did you hear him? If you’ve got the guts, why don’t you wait until we get to the hospital to throw your fit?"

Wanda Quincy huffed and turned to stare out the window. ’I never should have stayed to help Hayden handle things,’ she thought. ’And I definitely shouldn’t have gotten into the sa vehicle as him.’

’If I’d known he was going to be like this, I should have just driven myself!’

It took so ti to reach the hospital. Just as they arrived, Vivian Quincy and the others were walking out. None of them were seriously injured.

When Wanda Quincy saw Jasper Ford, she hurried over to him and asked with feigned concern, "Jasper, how are they?"

"They’re fine," Jasper Ford replied coldly.

Wanda Quincy smiled. "Thank heavens, they were so lucky. I’ve already brought Hayden to the hospital and helped contact his family. You must be exhausted from work. Why don’t you give the child to ? I can take them ho. I have my car right here."

Nestled in Jasper Ford’s arms, Beanie heard Wanda Quincy and snuggled deeper into his embrace. He said plaintively, "Ford, I don’t want her to take . I want you to."

"Alright, I’ll take you ho." Jasper Ford’s voice was gentle, a softness reserved only for Beanie. But the mont his gaze shifted to Wanda Quincy, it turned sharp and cold again. "You can go ho on your own."

With that, he walked off, holding Beanie. That possessive, doting look... was that really how one looked at a subordinate’s child?

A sudden panic seized Wanda Quincy. She sensed sothing unusual in Jasper Ford’s attitude toward Beanie Quincy. Hurrying after him, she pleaded, "Jasper, you’ve been working all day. I don’t want to see you wear yourself out. Please, let take them ho."

"Wanda Quincy, are you deaf?" Anna couldn’t resist taunting her. "The man already said he’s taking us ho himself. Why are you still here whining? Anyone who didn’t know better would think you’re trying to finish us off while we’re vulnerable."

Her sche exposed, Wanda Quincy’s face went white. She flew into a rage out of sheer embarrassnt. "Don’t you dare spout nonsense! Am I that kind of person?"

"You are," Vivian Quincy, who had been silent until now, finally spoke. Her face was calm, but her eyes were lethal.

Wanda Quincy clenched her fists. "Fine. I’ll stop ddling."

Watching Jasper Ford drive off with Vivian Quincy and the others made Wanda Quincy’s stomach churn. Once they were out of sight, she pulled out her phone and dialed Mrs. King.

"Did you do it?"

Mrs. King replied, "What are you talking about?"

"Vivian Quincy was just in a car accident. A drunk driver. Was it your doing?" Wanda Quincy demanded.

Mrs. King said, "No, that has nothing to do with . Why are you calling? Don’t tell you’re calling to stand up for your dear cousin?"

"Hah!" Wanda Quincy scoffed, then said indignantly, "Next ti you hire soone, could you at least find one who isn’t blind? It was a wide road with plenty of targets, yet you didn’t even manage to cripple the adult or the child? They barely got a scratch! Mrs. King, you’ve been far too soft on these howreckers over the years. That’s why they keep popping up, one after another!"

Her words struck a nerve with Mrs. King. "Then why don’t you do sothing about it yourself? All you do is criticize from the sidelines. If you think you can do better, then go ahead."

"If I could get my own hands dirty, would I even need to work with you?" Wanda Quincy snapped before abruptly ending the call.

The mory of the way Jasper Ford looked at Vivian Quincy as he left, and the unguarded affection he showed for the child, drove Wanda Quincy mad with jealousy.

’That useless Mrs. King is more trouble than she’s worth! Not only did she fail to hurt them, but she also made Jasper Ford even more protective of that little bastard Beanie!’

’It seems I’ll have to find another way. I can’t let this go!’

Wanda Quincy saw mbers of the Kaye family arriving, so she went over to say a quick hello before leaving.

anwhile, Jasper Ford first drove Anna ho. Anna had intended to take Beanie with her, but Jasper Ford refused, whisking the child away in his car.

Vivian Quincy had assud Jasper Ford would drop her and Beanie off next, but when she saw the direction he was driving, her brow furrowed. "CEO, you’re going the wrong way."

"No, I’m not," the man replied coolly.

Vivian Quincy said, "This isn’t the way to my ho."

"It’s the way to mine," Jasper Ford’s firm, cool voice was surprisingly pleasant.

Vivian Quincy, startled, looked up from the back seat. "Then what about Beanie and ?"

"You’re coming to my place," Jasper Ford said, his voice laced with impatience.

Vivian Quincy shook her head. "No, I need to go ho."

The man paid her no mind, treating her words as if they were thin air. The car didn’t slow in the slightest; he clearly had no intention of taking her ho.

Beanie piped up, "Ford, my mommy has to work. If you’re tired, you can just drop us off on the side of the road. We can get a taxi ho ourselves. We don’t want to trouble you."

"She can take the morning off tomorrow." When Jasper Ford replied to Beanie, his voice was remarkably gentle and patient.

Beanie said, "But Mommy doesn’t have a change of clothes. It’s more convenient at our own place."

Jasper Ford’s gaze finally swept over to Vivian Quincy. Her clothes were indeed dirty, and more importantly, stained with blood. She looked utterly wretched. A flicker of irritation crossed Jasper Ford’s face, and he didn’t answer Beanie.

The car continued on, driving all the way to the Ford residence.

Madam Ford had just finished dinner and was taking a stroll in the courtyard. Normally, she wouldn’t have bothered giving Jasper Ford’s car a second glance—she had all but given up on her good-for-nothing son. But when she saw Beanie get out, her eyes instantly lit up, and she hurried over with a warm smile.

Just as she was about to greet him, she noticed Beanie was injured. Madam Ford’s expression changed instantly. "How did you get hurt? Jasper, what happened? Did you hit him?"

With that, Madam Ford looked ready to tear into Jasper Ford.

Seeing this, Vivian Quincy quickly interjected, "Madam Ford, it has nothing to do with the CEO. We just had so bad luck and were almost hit by a car."

Only then did Madam Ford notice that the young assistant was also hurt. Her brow furrowed. "Jasper, don’t tell you arranged for them to be hit? I rember you’ve always been biased against this assistant of yours."

Jasper Ford’s handso face darkened. "Mom, I’m not that depraved."

"At your age, you can’t even manage to have a son of your own. Who knows what you’re capable of," Madam Ford retorted, before ushering Vivian Quincy and Beanie into the house.
