Mrs. King’s sudden outburst startled everyone. Vivian Quincy couldn’t dodge in ti and was tackled, sending them both crashing to the floor.

A chorus of gasps erupted from the surrounding crowd. Passersby turned to stare, their faces etched with surprise at the scene unfolding before them.

"Mommy!" Beanie cried out, frightened, and rushed forward to protect Vivian Quincy.

But Mrs. King had already flown into a rage, letting out a hysterical shriek. "You bitch! How dare you give birth to the King Family’s illegitimate son! The evidence is conclusive, what more do you have to say for yourself? I’m going to rip your face and this little brat’s face off today!"

Her words stunned everyone. Fortunately, Vivian had friends on her side. Anna stepped in to help pull Mrs. King away, and the two bodyguards Zachary Thornton had arranged for Anna appeared out of nowhere to help. They finally managed to restrain Mrs. King.

But Mrs. King was clearly on the verge of exploding, her eyes bloodshot with a rage so intense it looked like she could flay soone alive.

"Sister-in-law, don’t be rash! Calm down!" Laura King said, holding onto Mrs. King and trying to soothe her.

Mrs. King pointed at Vivian Quincy and Beanie Quincy across from them and shot back at Laura King, "You want to calm down? How would you feel if it were your husband who had another illegitimate child out there?"

"Let tell you, Laura King, no woman could tolerate what your brother has done to since I married into your King Family! Don’t you dare stop today, or I’ll turn on you, too!"

Mrs. King was about to snap, the murderous intent in her eyes practically boiling over. If not for the people shielding Vivian Quincy and Beanie Quincy, she would have charged forward and torn the mother and son to shreds.

Laura King thought she was overreacting and tried to placate her. "Just calm down first."

"How can I possibly calm down?!" Mrs. King demanded furiously.

At that mont, Vivian Quincy bent down and picked up the paternity test report that had fallen to the floor. Her brow furrowed as she read the results.

"This is impossible," Vivian said, shaking her head firmly in denial.

Anna walked over and leaned in for a look, her face paling. "How could Beanie possibly be Jeremy King’s son? They have absolutely nothing to do with each other, and they look nothing alike! The hospital must have made a mistake with the test, right?"

Having been ntioned, Beanie was also confused. ’I’m such a handso little cutie,’ he thought. ’I look nothing like Jeremy King.’ He agreed with Anna completely!

But Mrs. King’s eyes were red with fury. "The evidence is conclusive. What are you still pretending for?"

"I think there must have been a mistake sowhere," Vivian said very seriously.

Mrs. King retorted, "Laura King herself ca to the hospital to collect the DNA sample in front of you. How could it be fake? This little bastard is Jeremy King’s son."

She pointed at Beanie Quincy, her words venomous.

When Beanie heard the two words "little bastard," his small, round face visibly stiffened, and his little body trembled slightly.

Vivian snapped. She could tolerate anything said about her, but she would not tolerate anyone insulting Beanie!

The entire aura around Vivian changed in an instant. She strode forward, raised her hand, and—SMACK! A sharp slap echoed through the now-silent hospital corridor.

Mrs. King was completely stunned. Rage twisted her features into a snarl. "Vivian Quincy, you have so nerve!"

"You can curse at , and you can accuse , but this has nothing to do with Beanie. Apologize to him!" Vivian’s voice was stern.

Clutching her face, Mrs. King heard Vivian’s demand and burst out laughing. "Are you insane? You want to apologize to this little bastard?"

Vivian raised her hand for another slap!

Seeing this, Laura King rushed forward and caught Vivian’s hand. "Everyone here knows each other. Please, let’s not make things hostile."

"Second Miss King, I am *not* on your side. Beanie is the child I’ve raised and doted on. I can’t even bear to scold him myself, so what right does Mrs. King have to curse at him?" Vivian’s face was ashen, her stern voice filled with unyielding defiance.

Laura King said, "My sister-in-law was just overco with anger. If you put yourself in her shoes, anyone would go just as crazy if this happened to them. Beanie is just a child, after all, and what my sister-in-law said was indeed out of line."

With that, Laura King walked up to Beanie with great sincerity. "I’m sorry, Beanie. This is all my fault. I hope you won’t take what was said to heart."

Beanie pouted with a proud little sniff. "I don’t want your apology. The person who cursed at should be the one to apologize."

Laura King smiled gently. "Your temper is just like my brother’s."

Beanie felt sick.

’That’s disgusting!’

Beanie didn’t even want to speak to these people anymore. He tugged on Vivian’s hand, wanting to leave.

Vivian knew Beanie was upset and didn’t want to stay at the hospital any longer either. As they left, she took the paternity test report with her.

Vivian was quiet the whole way ho, and Beanie was silent, too.

Seeing the identical gloomy expressions on mother and son, Anna said, "How could it possibly be Jeremy King?"

"You’re asking ? Who am I supposed to ask?" Vivian was certain the man from that night wasn’t him. But this was the second paternity test. She hadn’t believed the first one, which Hayden Kaye had brought her, but this ti she had been present at the hospital with Beanie and Laura King. There shouldn’t have been any mistake.

Vivian was extrely agitated and didn’t say a word even after getting ho.

Anna asked, "How can you be so sure it isn’t Jeremy King?"

"His build was completely different." Vivian rembered the man from that night was very tall and well-built, with a rare, cold aura about him—the complete opposite of Jeremy King.

Hearing Vivian’s words, Beanie pulled out his tablet, typed Jeremy King’s na into the search bar, and found a photo of him from six years ago.

"Mommy, this is what Jeremy King looked like six years ago," he said, handing the tablet to her.

The corner of Vivian’s mouth twitched violently. Anna couldn’t help but rub her eyes. "Damn, Jeremy King used to be this handso?"

He looked completely different from the Jeremy King they saw now! Six years ago, he not only had a full head of hair but was also thin, with a handso face. Compared to the greasy, middle-aged man of today, he looked like a different person entirely!

Vivian, who had been so adamant that it wasn’t Jeremy King, was deeply unsettled by the photograph.

’Thin, not greasy...’

’He does look a little... a little like the man from that night...’

’BLECH...’

Vivian finally couldn’t take it anymore. She bolted to the bathroom and threw up, heaving until all the acidic bile was out of her stomach.

Beanie rushed over, his soft little hands tugging on Vivian. "Mommy, what’s wrong?"

Vivian just waved her hand and shook her head. She turned on the faucet to rinse her mouth and took a mont to recover.

Forcing down her nausea, she walked out of the bathroom and picked up the tablet again.

Seeing the look of utter disgust on Vivian’s face, as if she’d just swallowed a fly, Anna couldn’t help but ask, "It couldn’t really be him, could it?"

"I..." Vivian truly didn’t know.

Anna took a deep breath, walked over, and patted her on the shoulder comfortingly. "Forget it. It’s all in the past. Just forget him."

Vivian felt sick all over. In fact, it was more than that—it was a bone-deep revulsion.

Although Beanie was young, he wasn’t stupid.

After that, none of them ntioned Jeremy King again, but the thought remained, like a thorn in all their sides.

This was especially true for Beanie. He felt his hopes had been shattered. In his mind, his daddy was supposed to be a hero among heroes.
