Volu 15 Chapter 19: Preliminaries

Keith stretched his hand back and forth as he prepared himself. He wasn't in the castle anymore. Today was the day of the tournant. It was the day of the preliminaries. Despite being nominated by Scarlet, he had to go through this process. He was more than okay with this.

This is a fantastic stadium.

16 small rings were inside. From what it looks like, there were more than 100 fighters. Wow, everyone is excited about this. The roars and fervor from the fighters intensified as they clashed with one another.

Woah, there’s a large crowd. Many people attended to watch the preliminaries. As he continued to watch,

“What do you think about this?” Scarlet suddenly appeared by his side.

Keith laughed, “So many people want your hand in marriage.”

“Tsk. That’s because they know if they gain it, then they have an easy life.” A golden ticket. Everyone wanted that; a commoner could easily beco king if they did this. Plus, a tournant like this was hard to co by.

“This tournant is quite the surprise.” It was a last-ditch effort that would allow them to go out and fight.

“Contestant 50, you’re up.”

“Guess I’m up.”

“Good luck, papa!” “Po!” Eri and the little ones cheered him on, and Scarlet smirked, “I’ll hug you when you co back.”

“Sure,” Keith smirked as he headed upwards. But the mont he did, the crowd noticed the oddity, “Why is there a human here?!” A person that had no horns or any ears. That was definitely a human here.

“Booo!”

“A human shouldn't be here!”

“Get out of here!”

Rains of hate and also disgust poured down on Keith. However, the man was already zoned out as he stared at his opponent. He was in the zone; there was no need to worry about it. The demon smirked, “Hear that? If you don’t want to get hurt, then get out of here.”

“Begin!” The referee quickly shouted. And the mont that was said, Keith punched the guy into the ground. It was quite the anticlimactic scene.

“...Winner!” The referee didn’t say much as he said this. Keith sighed as he walked away with a calm look.

“Good job, honey!” The princess didn’t hesitate to hug him. Keith chuckled, “It was nothing.” A weak point. The mont the demon charged at him, that was when he knocked him out.

“He was pretty weak.”

“That’s what you would expect when more than 200 people are participating.” With so many people here, the entire place would be watered down. There would be a mix of people here.

“Indeed.” Keith sighed, “And this isn’t even my final match.” There were a couple of more rounds he had to go through before he could be done. While they looked at the battles that happened, Keith noticed so interesting ones that went down.

At least there’s a good show going for the audience.

“Well, I’m up again.” Keith sighed as he got up. But when he did, “Keith is really being treated like public enemy number one.”

“Indeed, Grandmother."

That was sothing she wasn’t going to deny. Having a human here in the demon kingdom was already trouble enough. But for him to enter this tournant, that was sothing all demons were going to have issues with. And that was not hidden as they continued to jeer.

“But they really can’t say anything when he takes them out like this,” One punch. One by one, the opponents Keith faced off against were taken out before they had the chance to do anything. And what ca with that was none other than silence.

Keith ca back down quietly after he had taken down his opponent. But when he did,

“I give up.” Keith turned over; Draezar was on the other side. They’re really giving up that fast?

Figures. This was also a ga of politics. There was a significant chance of losing. However, what made it worse was that nobles were participating as well. So if they were to fight against them in the 1st round, then beat them, and lose in the second, the repercussions were definitely high.

Guess I won’t be able to see him in action. He thought about watching the man fight here to get a good read on him. But he was nowhere to be found.

However, there were also so other competitors that were doing damage. Hmm, this guy is similar in so way. The way that person fought was quite strong.
