Volu 15 Chapter 2: Ice Lances

Later in the day, Keith returned to the training ground. He breathed slowly and solemnly while gazing at his arm. I have been cutting back too much. Holding back. Throughout the fight against Aidiun, the elf didn't use his full strength. A test. For the elf, it was nothing more than a test. If he truly wanted to destroy him, he would have done it in the first move.

However, there was a more pressing issue: himself. Keith cut back on his magic practice for so ti. Additionally, he focused on his cooking and other hobbies. Originally, his goal was to continue making food and having the ti of his life.

Can he continue to do so? Strength. The only reason why he was able to be free like this was because he had the strength to support it. The strength to challenge everything without a hassle. Now, this all changed.

Isaac and now Aidiun. There were people who were much stronger than him. Moreover, these people could kill him if they wanted to. It was clear that if they had any intention to kill, they would do so.

I need to focus on my training. Keith glanced at his hand and started to practice his magic. The temperature around him slowly lowered, and a white mist soon appeared. Ice appeared out of thin air, forming into a lance.

His ice was not strong enough. Crack! His ice was not strong enough. Crack! With a simple squeeze, the lance shattered! I need to compact it. He rembered Yukiko's words. It was necessary to compact the ice; depending on the compression, even ice weapons could rival those made of iron.

"..." The entire hour, he continued to create ice lances. One by one, what ca next after the creation was destruction. It was only after the nth one that Keith stopped.

"This is not enough." The lance in his hand was less sturdy than iron. However, it could definitely cause so damage if he swung it hard enough. He stared at the iron dummy before him and took a wide swing!

Slash! The dummy was cut, and the ice was broken in half along with it. A one-shot attack. I'll use it when I feel like I'm out of options. He could summon another iron sword faster than creating an ice one.

While Keith practiced, Herrick and the others followed his actions. Feeling the loss, they needed to move.

“Co on, Herrick! You have to move faster!”

“And you need to hit harder!”

"They're riled up."

"If you lost like them, you would be too." Herrick and lor lost so one-sidedly against Tennol. For people who valued strength, this was a blow to them.

“It’s the sa with us as well.” Scarlet and the others weren't like them but shared the sa sentints. They want to get stronger.

They were going to have to keep going. Even if they had lost, the only thing they could do was to get stronger than before. While they continued to practice, “Alfia, you need to practice as well.”

“Again.”

"Mmhmm. Let's go." Faelyn grabbed her hand, and the two headed off to the adventurer's guild. Scarlet and Carolyn watched from the sidelines.

"Did Faelyn change?" The human princess's head tilted as she noticed the elf's change in mannerisms.

They didn’t mind this at all.

“You two need to get to running as well.” Krystal and Leona were beside the two. Despite the two elves leaving, they needed to get to work as well.

“Wahh!” “So an!”

“That was good!” Keith raised his hand into the air. It had been so ti since he trained this hard. It felt fulfilling. As he returned ho,

"Keith."

"Hello, Muriel."

“Can you help out with sothing?”

“Hmm?”

“A welco ho gift?” Keith tilted his head when he heard this. The two had returned to the mansion where they were talking about this. Muriel nodded, “I was wondering if there are any good gifts I could bring back ho.”

“So you want to make you sothing to bring back?”

“Mmhmm.” When Muriel thought about it, only a few things ca to mind; the perfect one would be to ask Keith about making sothing. If he was able to get food from him, then that would be perfect.

Keith thought about it, “Hmm? Sothing to bring ho. Would chocolates be fine?” She could easily get a box of chocolates.

“I think they ate a lot of chocolates.” Muriel’s cheeks turned red when she talked about it. She sounded so spoiled right now.

“Then how about so bottled jam?”
