Volu 14 Chapter 40: Where Is It?!

"Sure. I have you know, I'm a harsh grader." Tasting soone else's dishes was sothing he did all the ti during his ti as Luis. He was more than happy to help others out.

"Sure!" Helen swiftly entered the kitchen and then returned with her dish. It was a brown cake.

"Is this made of cocoa powder?" With one glance, he could tell there was one ingredient in there. There was a rich and sweet aroma coming from it as well.

"Mmhmm. I used the chocolate your company created. I thought it would be a nice pairing with the macao beans." She lted so chocolate and then incorporated flour to bake it into a cake.

"That's smart." Coffee and chocolate were always a great pairing. Eri's eyes glimred as she stared at the beautiful cake. The three took a bite.

“Delish!” Eri giggled as she savored the chocolate cake.

Baker nodded, “You did good, child.”

“Mmhmm. It’s a nice pairing with the espresso. Probably not so much with juice.” Keith chuckled. The bitter espresso and the sweetness from the chocolate cake were a fantastic pairing.

"That's great!"

“You added so espresso into the cake as well?” Baker could tell the faint whiffs of espresso in there.

Helen nodded, “Mmhmm, I thought it would make the cake complint the drink even better." She boiled a pot of espresso and gently poured so into the lted chocolate.

"That was a good move. You can also lt so chocolate and drizzle it to make it more presentable." The cake had no problem as it was soft and moist inside.

“OOOh! I will do that!” Helen grinned as she found herself another item. The three continued to savor their cake when Baker asked, “I must say, Young Man. Now that I learn more about you, I must go to your territory to check it out.” As he continued to talk with Keith, he learned much. There was a dessert section in the bakery and many other goodies.

“Haha.” Keith grinned as he returned ho with Eri. He headed to the second island where he saw everyone.

“So good.”

"You can say that again." Carolyn and the rest lounged in the pergola, eating their sweets. Usually, Carolyn, Scarlet, and Alfia would do this. But it seed that the rest were having a sweet day. Herrick and lor were gorging themselves on sweets.

Keith brought Eri up to his neck, “Eri, let’s go and play so more. I got the fruit series ready for you.”

“Okay.” Eri nodded as she walked away from there. As they walked to the mansion, no one noticed the sullen look Keith had. I guess I need to do this. Those thoughts he had right now were going to cause havoc on the island.

A few days later,

Keith had headed out; Muriel and Lucy were on waiting duty today. Carolyn grinned as she woke up late. She couldn’t help but kiss Ruby, who was sleeping on her chest, “Good morning, Little one!”

“Cuu.” Ruby slowly woke up and nudged her face. Carolyn’s morning had always started off amazing as always. She was the happiest lady ever living here. But as she slowly got herself out of the bed, that was when she heard a loud shout,

“What in the world?!”

“Huh?!” Who would scream so loud? The princess quickly headed outside to check. She wasn’t the only one, as Alfia and Scarlet ca out. On the weekends, they were all heavy sleepers. As they headed over, they saw Jack.

“Jack, why are you yelling in the morning?”

“Yeah, what’s the matter?”

“There’s no cookies!”

Carolyn and the other's expressions were indescribable as if they had heard sothing impossible. Sarah's eyes darkened, “Are you seriously acting like a crybaby because there are no cookies? Go and have so chocolates.” There was no need to cry over cookies. Chocolates were usually the replacent for cookies.

…Here ca the issue.

“There’s no chocolates either!” lor was the one who shouted this ti.

“...” Everyone froze when they heard that. There’s no chocolate, either? There was sothing really wrong.

“Check if there’s any cakes!”

“No!”

“What about pie? What about-”

“There’s nothing!”

“What?!” Now it was the ti to panic.

Alfia quickly slapped Herrick, “Use your nose and find anything sugary now!” Red alert! This was definitely a red alert! Herrick was already sniffing way before Alfia told him anything, but that only caused him to frown, “I can’t sll anything.” Not a scent at all. Usually, there was a faint scent!

“Search! Do not let anything go to waste!” Everyone charged into the area, trying their best to find the treats. But as they did, Long Yueying and Yukiko entered with Cadmus.

“What is everyone doing?”

“Aunty! We don’t have any sugar!”

“What?!” The three’s eyes widened.

Cadmus even roared, “There’s no way! Do you know how much sugar that kid makes?!” Even if hell froze over, there was still sugar on the island!

“Search now!” Cadmus sweated, and so did Yukiko and Long Yueying! They had never thought that this absurdity would have occurred. Even Fira was frightened as she searched with the other spirits! This was a crisis they had faced before, and now they were facing one together. Despite their search, nothing.
