Chapter 211: This Little Bottle?
The driver arrived at the destination.
Laila got down, paid the driver, and walked into the supermarket. She made her way toward Mr. Gauche’s stall, where she t him attending to loads of noble custors.
Mr. Guache turned his head, glancing at her.
"B-bonjour!" Laila said in a frightened tone.
Mr. Gauche fluttered his eyes. Of course, he recalls her. Her behavior alone was enough.
"What brings you here, frightened lady?" Mr. Guache asked.
Laila nervously smiled at the mocking na. She cleared her throat and shoved her hand into her bag, bringing out a pass.
The mont the crowd saw the royal pass, their eyes widened. Those who were about to latch out at Mr. Gauche for imdiately leaving them to attend to a tardy latter swallowed their words and stepped back.
Mr. Guache pinched between his brows as he shook his head. "Frightened lady, you do not have to show
a royal pass. I know who you are."
"O-oh...haha..." Laila cackled awkwardly. "Y-young master Ryan wants you to give him a new cure."
"Cure?" Mr. Guache arched his brow. "For what?"
"For—" Laila proceeded to explain, but Mr. Guache shut her up.
"Co inside," Mr. Guache said to her.
Laila was reluctant, but she did go in.
Mr. Guache folded his arms. "So what does his highness want?"
"A cure," Laila replied. "Lady Natasha has developed a r-rash again, b-b-but the cure you gave us last year did not work. S-so he is asking for a new treatnt that can cure any type of rash."
Mr. Guache scrunched his brows and began to rub his temple in thought. "Well, I don’t have—"
As though having recalled sothing, he halted. "Oh, I do have one." He snapped his fingers and walked over to his shelf to grab a bottle.
This bottle contained nothing but the Venin d’ombre. He gave it to her.
"I just recently got this dicine. It can cure anything. It was very expensive, so tell His Highness that he will have to pay. I’ll give him a discount just because he is royalty."
"O-oh..." Laila nodded her head.
Mr. Guache raised his brow at her.
"Don’t just nod at , girl! I want my paynt as early as today! Understood?"
"Y-yes, sir!!" Laila nodded and hurried out of the stall.
She boarded a taxi and returned straight back to the royal mansion.
Upon arrival, she rushed straight to Ryan’s quarter. There, Lancelot was standing guard as usual.
He imdiately stopped her.
"What business do you have here?" he questioned.
Laila fluttered her eyes and quickly explained, "I-I am the one His Highness sent to get dicine for Lady Natasha."
"Oh..." Lancelot nodded and placed three light knocks on the door. "Young master, she is back."
"Let her in." Ryan’s voice resounded.
Lancelot opened the door, gesturing in. Laila reluctantly stepped inside, and the door shut behind her.
With her head lowered, she approached Ryan, who was busy with paperwork.
"Did you get the dicine?" he asked.
Laila nodded. "Y-yes, Your Highness. I did."
"Drop it on the table," Ryan said to her without sparing her a single glance.
Laila did as he told her, dropping the elixir and the royal pass. She stepped back and stood, nervously biting her lower lip.
Ryan, who was not sure why she was still there and unwilling to leave, finally lifted his head, glancing at her.
"Is there a problem? Why are you still here?"
Laila fidgeted with her dress. She darted her gaze around and finally mustered up the courage to say, "Mr. Guache said that, um, you would have to p-pay him."
"What?" Ryan raised his brow.
"H-h-he said that it is a very rare dicine and t-that he had bought it for a high price, so you have to pay." Laila lowered her head to stare at the floor. She was not able to make eye contact with him.
Ryan gazed at her silently. He looked to be contemplating sothing. A deep breath fled from him, and he waved his hand at Laila.
"You may leave now."
"Ye?" Laila expected that he would be sending her back to the stall to pay Mr. Gauche.
Ryan pinched between his brows, seeming annoyed. He exhaled and looked at her with a fed-up expression apparent on his face. "I said that you may leave. I’ll pay Mr. Gauche by myself!" He was glaring at her.
Laila jolted in fear and frantically nodded her head. "Y-yes, Your Highness. My apologies!" She quickly rushed out of the room.
Ryan, who was heavily confused by her behavior, glanced around him, wondering what exactly she was frightened about.
He rubbed his temple and pulled out his phone to dial Mr. Guache’s number. It took a while before the callee answered.
[Bonsoir, Your Highness]
Ryan frowned. "What is the aning of this, Mr. Guache?"
[I do not know what you an, your highness. Care to elaborate?]
Ryan began to brief him, "I believe you did not hit your head sowhere and had a mory loss. Last ti I recall, royalties don’t pay!"
"Why do I have to pay for this elixir? Is there sothing special about it?" he questioned.
[My apologies, Your Highness, if I am seeming insolent, but yes, there is sothing quite special about it. It is a rare kind of elixir that even I am a bit unfamiliar with. It has a healing ability that can possibly heal any sort of illness, which is why I gave it to you]
[That elixir is expensive, your highness. For the price I bought it, I cannot sell it for free, so you must forgive ]
Ryan wrinkled his brows, flabbergasted. "How much did you purchase it for?"
[Ten thousand euros]
"What?!" Ryan quickly grabbed the dicine and looked at it. This was worth ten thousand euros? This little bottle?
He was beyond shocked.
[As small as it may seem, Your Highness, do not doubt its abilities. It is the only thing that I believe can possibly heal your wife’s rash permanently]
Ryan gazed at the bottle. He took a deep breath and dropped it back on the table. "How much are you selling it for?"
