Chapter 202: Prince!

There was silence throughout the breakfast, and the instant it was over, the one to take a deep breath was Natasha. Only the heavens knew how paranoid she had been all along.

Draven was the first to stand up.

"I shall take my leave now. rci." He walked over and grabbed Avelina’s hand, exiting the pavilion with her.

Ryan left with his wife, and so did the rest.

"Draven." Amid their return to their quarters, Avelina glanced at Draven. "What is going on?"

Draven looked at her. "Nothing. It is just that my father suspects that sothing is wrong."

"Wrong?" Avelina furrowed her brows.

"Does it have to do with what happened at the last dinner?"

Draven nodded, confirming, "Indeed." He halted to face Avelina. "Avelina, vampires, and witches are not exactly on good terms. The commoners can mingle with them, not very openly though, but royals..." He shook his head.

"It is forbidden for royals to mingle with witches. They are not very good creatures and are pretty sinful. It is not only my kind that does not like them but the other races as well. I’m sure you humans do not like them either."

Avelina gave a nod, affirming his claim, "You’re right. Humans do not like them. They are evil."

"Exactly," Draven said. "The problem is that Natasha visited one in order to kill you, so if my father finds out, he will execute her. But Ryan won’t let that happen, so they are all trying to keep it a secret." He looked at the hallways that lead outside to the pavilion. "Although, if you ask , I think it is quite impossible for them to keep it a secret. My old man is not very easy to fool, he will eventually find out, and as you heard him say, the punishnt will be severe."

Avelina blinked her eyes, seeming quite skeptical. "Will he really kill her?"

"Yes, but not if I do it first." A dangerous glint flickered in Draven’s eyes, and he turned around to make his way to his quarter. Avelina was following beside him with her fingers interlocked with his.

——

[9:50 pm]

Avelina was seated with Draven in the pavilion outside in the garden.

From their expression, it was clear that they were waiting for soone.

"Draven, when do you think he will co?" Avelina asked.

Draven took a few monts before he spoke, responding, "I’m not sure, but a few minutes from now, probably."

"Gosh, I am so nervous." Avelina waved her sweaty hands.

"Why?" Draven inquired, his eyes fixed on the phone, awaiting Loui’s call.

Avelina replied, "I don’t know. But I am scared for Prince."

"You do not have to be. Everything will go just fine," Draven assured, looking down at his phone the second he heard it ring.

The caller was Loui.

He answered, "Loui."

[Don, Prince just notified

that he is there. He will co in through the gate you showed on the map and et you at your pavilion]

"Good." Draven gave a nod of satisfaction and hung up the call.

It was not up to five minutes when he suddenly felt a different, familiar presence within the pavilion. It was the expected guest!

"Prince," Draven said.

"Don." Prince’s voice sounded, causing Avelina to turn her head in the direction the voice was coming from.

Prince was invisible and could not make himself visible, as that would leave him naked. His ability does not allow him to make himself unknown while wearing clothes, as that would leave him seen.

"Ma da." Prince’s tone switched to Avelina.

Avelina smiled at him in response.

Draven took a deep breath and reached out his hand to touch him. "You should be very careful. Avoid the maids as much as you can, and do not allow them to touch you, otherwise, your presence will be known."

The commoners had low senses compared to the royals, therefore, he was not worried that the maids would sense his presence once he made his way into the quarter. But what he was worried about was Prince bumping into any of his brothers or their wives. It was more than guaranteed that they would sense his unfamiliar scent the second they crossed paths.

"Please, be very careful," Draven once again said.

"Je vais, Don." With that being said, Prince left to begin his task.

Avelina could tell that he had left, as she could no longer feel his presence in the pavilion.

She looked at Draven with apprehension visible in her eyes.

"Don’t worry, he will be just fine," Draven said, once again assuring her.

...

Arriving at the foyer that leads to Natasha and Ryan’s quarter, Prince ca to a halt. He lifted his head and examined the whole area.

He was not with the map and only had the directions in his head, thus, he believed it would be beneficial to retain the directions through which he had co in. It would make it easier for him to leave and escape.

With a deep breath exiting his nose, he began to proceed ahead. According to the accurate report Draven had given him, it was exactly at this ti that Natasha’s als were served.

Carefully, he moved down the grand hall of the quarter toward the kitchen, successfully evading the maids who crossed his path. He was quite surprised to realize that none of them could indeed sense his presence. This ant that Draven was correct when he said that only those of nobility, royalty, or those with gifted high senses could sense him while he was in his invisible form.

With calculated precision and maneuvering through the labyrinthine corridors, Prince finally arrived at the door that led to the kitchen. He stood before it and stared at it for a few seconds. He was listening in for the voices of the maids, trying to make out their conversations.

Could he successfully open the door and slip in without any of the maids noticing? He may be invisible, but he cannot go through walls.
