Shi Su heard footsteps but couldn’t hear clearly through the door. Thinking it was Mianmian coming over with clothes, she reached out and swiftly opened the door, suddenly seeing the man in front of her.

Her expression froze; she didn’t have ti to utter a sound. Instinctively, she stepped back, but she retreated too hastily and slipped, falling backward.

Jing Jihan instinctively stepped forward to support her but overestimated his arm strength, which hadn’t fully recovered from his injuries. As soon as he wrapped his arm around the woman’s waist, he was suddenly pushed backwards out of the bathroom by her reflexive force, and as he took a step back, Shi Su, due to inertia and unsteady footing, also followed forward and fell down——

Shi Su rembered he was injured and wanted to avoid him but ended up crashing directly into the man’s arms, further pressing down the man who had just woken up after being unconscious for five days.

This scene happened too suddenly!

So much so that Jing Jihan really couldn’t hold her.

As he fell backward, the woman, wrapped only in a bath towel, crashed onto him; her head hit his chest hard, and her wet long hair draped over his neck.

The excruciating pain of falling to the ground almost felt like dying again, accompanied by the force of Shi Su crashing onto him, montarily left Jing Jihan unable to react. As he fell, his hand instinctively embraced Shi Su, and at this mont, he could clearly feel her bath towel had loosened, aning she fell nearly naked...

The temperature in his palm was the warm, smooth touch of a woman fresh from her bath.

And the delicate cream-white that flashed before his eyes because of the loosened bath towel.

Facing the direction of the incandescent light, Jing Jihan wisely chose to close his eyes for safety amid the pain.

Shi Su hastily got up from his embrace, quickly securing her bath towel and grabbing his pajamas, putting them on swiftly. She regained her composure and looked at the pale, bloodless face of the man lying on the ground, seeing him with his eyes closed, she swallowed back the curse that almost escaped her lips.

"How are you? Are you okay?" Shi Su hurried to help him up.

Jing Jihan stood up with the support, but clearly, this fall wasn’t light. After steadying his breath, he sighed hoarsely, "Your daughter fell asleep on the sofa. I kindly brought you pajamas, but you seem to want to cost my life."

Shi Su, exasperated, helped him back to the bed, "How should I have known it was you? Suddenly seeing a man at the door, not screaming is already quite graceful, okay?"

Jing Jihan glared at her, "If I really intended anything bad, would screaming help?"

Shi Su was too lazy to argue with this gravely injured man, seeing how frail he looked, knowing he didn’t have the strength for that right now.

She let him lie back on the bed, and seeing his face was terribly pale, she leaned in to ask, "Are you really okay? Do you need to call the old doctor from downstairs to take a look for you?"

"No need."

Shi Su was still not quite assured, fearing his wound might bleed again, she reached out to help him check, but as soon as her hand touched his clothes, the man’s hand pressed hers directly, and he replied hoarsely, "No need to check, they’re external injuries, even with checks, healing is needed for genuine recovery."

Shi Su glanced at the man’s hand and imdiately withdrew hers. His movents didn’t change, and he closed his eyes, seemingly about to fall asleep.

It’s not surprising for a person who lost too much blood to feel fatigued, especially after she had just rcilessly crashed onto him.

Shi Su couldn’t say much more, only spoke softly, "Then rest well," whether he heard or not, walked out of the bedroom.

As she ca out, she saw Mianmian indeed sleeping soundly on the sofa, covered with a thin blanket.

The remaining defense towards that man dissolved in that instant.

No matter what kind of person he was before the accident, being gentle and patient with children couldn’t be a bad person.

He might as well stay, being badly injured and without identification, indeed having nowhere to go.

She prepared to carry Mianmian back to the bedroom to sleep, and at the mont of bending down, Shi Su suddenly lowered her head to look at the pajamas she was wearing, then sharply recalled the scene of falling on the man in front of the bathroom door...

At that ti, her bath towel had loosened, when she got up seeing him with closed eyes, he should...should not have seen anything...
