Hao Jin and Luo Fang charged into the forest with an exuberant shout.

Shi Su was searching for the treasure chest, and hearing the noise, she turned to glance at them, thinking that the saying "n remain boys until they die" might apply to all n except Jing Jihan.

But she was quickly proven wrong.

Though Jing Jihan wasn’t much of a talker, he was rare in his focus on tasks and gas like finding clues and treasure chests. The man held a card in his hand, found who knows from where, deep in thought.

Shi Su, as she turned, also noticed a surveillance cara on a tree branch and imdiately saw there was a clue card next to a bird’s nest.

"There!" Shi Su pointed upwards.

But it was too high up.

Jing Jihan hadn’t gone too far, nor had he climbed anywhere high; he probably found his clue card among stones or heaps of leaves.

The one Shi Su discovered was simply too high up.

She tried to jump up but couldn’t leap too high and her hand still fell short of the nest, even if she managed a good jump.

Jing Jihan, hearing her voice, ca over to look at the nest’s location.

"How do we get it? Find a ladder?" Shi Su asked.

As she spoke, she glanced at the clue card in Jing Jihan’s hand and found it was blank.

No wonder it was so easy to find; it was a blank card ant for distraction.

"Do you rember the location of that empty box we saw when we ca in?" Jing Jihan asked.

"I rember, it’s over there." Shi Su pointed in that direction.

They were the third group to enter; by the ti they found the box, it had already been opened. Either it was empty to begin with, or soone had opened it and taken the contents.

Moreover, that box was too large and had no lock, unlike a typical task box ant for storing rocks or gold pieces.

"Stand here and wait, don’t let anyone else co take it. I’ll go get the box." Jing Jihan was clearly getting into the ga; after glancing around and ensuring no other participants were approaching, he turned and walked away.

Shi Su watched his briskly retreating figure, silently contradicting her earlier thought.

Jing Jihan either doesn’t play, or if he does play, he’s more serious than anyone else.

Wei Sinan, being relatively sharp in his senses around here, was following the path of the moving caras to find things, holding a silver box with a lock, clearly unopened, that he found sowhere.

As he approached, he saw the surveillance cara and bird’s nest above Shi Su’s head, just when Jing Jihan was dragging over the particularly large storage box from the forest entrance.

"Wow! If those in his company saw this, Jing Jihan lugging boxes around a forested mountain, their jaws would drop in shock," Ami said in wonder.

Wei Sinan chuckled softly, "For Mr. Jing to go through such efforts, the clue card up there must not be simple."

"But my cousin and his wife have already set their sights on it, and we can’t just take it—I wouldn’t dare," Ami’s last words lacked a bit of confidence.

Wei Sinan said nothing more, simply pulling Ami’s wrist to lead her over.

Shi Su was standing by the tree, holding the box, waiting for Jing Jihan to reach the card. Seeing him take down the card and the surveillance cara simultaneously, she was about to speak when she heard Wei Sinan’s voice: "Mr. Jing, Shi Su."
