Shi Su was originally lying on the sofa without moving, but vaguely seed to hear Qin Zhifeng’s voice coming through Jing Jihan’s phone.
She turned her head and glanced back, peering towards the man’s direction over the back of the sofa.
Jing Jihan just ca out of the shower, holding a phone in one hand, with a towel draped over his shoulder in the other. She could vaguely make out that it was Qin Zhifeng’s voice on the call, but couldn’t clearly hear the content.
Jing Jihan said, "I know."
After hanging up the phone, he turned to see Shi Su with her face pressed against the back of the sofa, only her eyes visible, blinking a few tis before she asked, "Is there sothing in the United States that needs you to handle? Lu Zhao went there a while ago, right?"
"It’s nothing major, just so leftover issues from a financial investigation funded years ago." Jing Jihan put down his phone and ca over to touch the hair Shi Su had already dried: "It’s almost eleven o’clock, aren’t you going to sleep?"
Shi Su took the opportunity to press her face against his hand, sighed with her eyes closed, and said: "Shi Lingkang just called again, asking to et him tomorrow. His purpose for coming to is obvious, but looking at the current situation, I probably can’t avoid it. If I postpone it tomorrow, there will be the day after tomorrow."
"Where’s the eting?"
Shi Su searched for the map location on her phone and raised it to show him.
Jing Jihan glanced at it and then, while drying his hair, directly bypassed the sofa and sat down: "I’ll go with you tomorrow."
Shi Su leaned into his arms: "I feel like you’re really busy. You can’t leave the company back there, and there’s stuff in the United States to handle, but you dropped everything just to stay in the capital with ."
"Don’t want to accompany you?" The man raised an eyebrow.
"Not at all, after all, having my husband here makes feel at ease." Shi Su smiled as she snuggled into his arms, rubbed her head playfully against his chest, and deeply inhaled the scent of his shower gel, enjoying it imnsely with her eyes closed: "Life like this is great, I don’t want to change."
Once the Shi Family’s situation changes, she’ll really be put in a position where she can’t shake off those responsibilities, this kind of relaxed calm might drift far from her.
Jing Jihan stroked her hair and soothingly said, as if coaxing a child, "If you don’t want to change, then don’t."
Shi Su humd in his embrace with her eyes closed: "Actually, without acting, being in the entertainnt circle, doing behind-the-scenes, or returning to the Shi Family, just living in Jiang City as a wealthy lady of the Jing Family who only knows how to spend money is pretty good. Every life has its way, Mianmian often says she’s a little princess and I’m a big princess. A princess shouldn’t live too tiredly."
A sudden twist, Shi Su the princess was suddenly lifted into the air and tossed onto the bed.
She instinctively hurried to hold onto Jing Jihan’s neck, saying, "Being thrown onto the bed isn’t a treatnt for a princess. Next ti, you must gently and slowly place ."
Desire was visible in the man’s eyes, and his voice lowered near her lips, "Next ti I’ll be gentle, let first taste what a canary is like."

Recently, even though Shi Su had many trivial matters in the capital, she didn’t need to get up early for work, and Jing Jihan rarely had to go to the office these days.
So when tasted at night, the strength and duration were sowhat... intense.
With ti so plentiful, Shi Su was thoroughly tornted several tis, only settling to sleep in the latter half of the night.
At dawn, Shi Su woke up to find Jing Jihan wasn’t beside her.
She was actually not too full last night, and surprisingly felt a bit hungry now. She got up to find so snacks, rembering that when they checked into the hotel, there seed to be a fridge in the small kitchen with quite a few complintary upscale snacks and drinks.
She was about to head over when she glanced and saw Jing Jihan in the small study room of the hotel suite, video calling with soone; the door wasn’t closed. When walking past, she caught a glimpse of a map of so place in the United States displayed on the computer screen, several red dots marked on it, and Qin Zhifeng’s voice ringing out from the computer.
Shi Su took only a glance, didn’t interrupt, opened the fridge intending to take out a pack of small snacks, but realizing Jing Jihan probably hadn’t eaten much last night either, she simply grabbed two boxes of instant noodles labeled in Japanese, boiled water, and prepared them.
Just as she finished preparing the noodles and was about to take them to the small study room, Jing Jihan had already co over: "It’s not even light yet, what are you up to not sleeping?"
"A bit hungry, made a portion for you too." Shi Su gestured to the instant noodles and then pointed to the sofa area, suggesting they eat together at the coffee table.
Having instant noodles was one thing, but to steady the two bowls, she was almost hunched over coming out of the kitchen, appearing sneaky with the bowls held in arms approaching the sofa, and then cautiously placing them on the coffee table, sitting beside them waiting to eat, as if it were a grand al.
Jing Jihan chuckled, walked over, and surprisingly didn’t mind, picked up his portion, using the little fork inside to scoop so, then saw Shi Su already eating, with one hand holding the fork while the other brushed aside the long hair from her cheek, eating with great enjoynt.
After having so with her, Jing Jihan suddenly said, "Wen Ke is pregnant."
"Cough, cough cough cough—" Shi Su choked on a mouthful of noodles, almost coughed it out, and raised her face after coughing for quite a while: "What? Who’s pregnant?"
Jing Jihan held his instant noodles, calmly observing her overly surprised expression.
This man could look so good even while sitting on the sofa eating instant noodles with her...
Shi Su pulled out a tissue to wipe her mouth, coughed twice more, then incredulously asked: "Wen Ke pregnant? Whose?"
Jing Jihan gave her a "you’re stating the obvious" look.
Wen Ke and Qin Zhifeng?!!!
Had Qin Zhifeng, that block of ice and wood, actually figured things out or beco so bold to really...
Didn’t he choose to cut off ties with Wen Ke to reject her ’non-standard emotional feelings’ back then, vowing never to see her again?
Shi Su put down the fork, wearing an expression as if her family’s cabbage patch had been devoured by a wolf, repeatedly picking up her phone and putting it down, finally drained the soup from her noodles to show her displeasure.

The following afternoon, at Six Blessings Building in the capital.
The restaurant Shi Lingkang booked, though built in an ancient style with a na sounding profoundly traditional, akin to many century-old establishnts in the capital, was actually opened less than two years ago.
Shi Su and Jing Jihan got out of the car, glanced at the signboard over the entrance, and walked in following the guidance of the attendant.
As they were about to enter, Shi Su suddenly looked around, noticing that it wasn’t a bustling area, and although many stores seed large, they appeared sowhat deserted, even with few pedestrians on the road ahead.
Jing Jihan squeezed her hand, signaling her to stay silent for a mont, then took out both their phones, swiftly sending out their location programs.
Just then, Shi Su glanced towards the direction of the first-floor hall inside Six Blessings Building and seemingly casually asked the attendant: "Almost dinner ti, why is the first floor so empty?"
