After downing the juice in her cup in one gulp, Shi Su cheerfully started serving food to everyone.
With that smile, Shi Mianmian truly seed like she was cut from the sa mold as her, smiling so sweetly that one instinctively wanted to protect this rare sweetness and joy.
Jing Jihan watched her bright smile, not realizing he had montarily drifted off, but in an instant, his gaze subtly shifted away, though Shi Su’s voice, laced with laughter, still lingered in his ears.
"Just a few days ago, a big entertainnt company wanted to insert soone into the cast, and my supporting actress role almost got replaced." Shi Su blinked through the steam of the hotpot: "Guess what happened next? I don’t know where this savior ca from, but they disagreed with changing the roles!"
She beca more and more excited as she spoke: "I don’t even know anyone from Jiang Jing Ru Hua, let alone the Yu Jing Group. I don’t know if Mr. Cai helped out sohow, he does know a lot of investors, but I’m not sure. So to this day, I still haven’t figured out who this mysterious benefactor is, but my role was saved!"
Jing Jihan smiled: "Congratulations."
Shi Su picked up a piece of vegetable, brought it to her mouth, thought for a mont and said: "Once filming starts, I must find a way to figure out who helped so much. It’s like being saved from a dire situation!"

Jing Jihan picked up the cup of juice he hadn’t touched before and nodded slightly in her direction, returning the toast.

On the first day of filming, Shi Su drove herself to the filming location.
Jiang City is a first-tier city dostically, and over a decade ago, a historical city and ancient-style buildings were constructed in its outskirts for tourism developnt. These have since often been rented by various costu drama crews, becoming one of the renowned film bases in the country over ti.
Driving from the city center takes about an hour and a half, and Shi Su deliberately chose the ring-road to avoid traffic, hoping to get there faster.
Due to roadwork on a section ahead, which made the path bumpy although passable, there weren’t many cars.
Behind her, however, was a silver-grey Ferrari. She had no idea what whims the driver was indulging. One mont, trying to overtake and the next, slowing down; suddenly speeding past only to slow down again shortly after, racing like it was a racecourse but then slowing down as if lost in thought.
Hopefully not a drunk driver?
Shi Su sped up, trying to leave that car behind.
In the silver-grey Ferrari behind her, Jing Luozhou saw the small Audi in front speeding up. With his competitive spirit kicking in, he was about to overtake when his phone rang again. Annoyed, he picked up the call and was forced to slow down once more: "Hello? Haven’t you had enough?"
