Shi Su changed her Weibo password at the sa ti to prevent Cherry Yang from bribing soone at the studio to send random posts on her Weibo after finding out her password.
After the termination announcent was made, the retweets and comnts skyrocketed, quickly reaching tens of thousands, securing a top spot on the trending list.
Just a few days ago, Cherry Yang was flaunting on social dia about becoming Shi Su’s manager. Shi Su had been silent until today, when she outright denied the existence of Cherry Yang as her manager with an official termination statent. While the statent seed polite and reasonable, following legal procedures, it was clearly a slap in the face to Cherry Yang.
After briefly checking the direction of the comnts, Shi Su logged off and didn’t continue reading.
At the sa ti, she sent the lawyers dispatched by Yu Jing Group a WeChat ssage and a screenshot of the Weibo post, discussed the situation and potential follow-up actions with them, and also called Chujiao to have her pay extra attention to the company and studio developnts over the next few days without making any statents online. After giving all the instructions, Shi Su put her WeChat on silent mode and tossed her phone aside.
She lounged around the Jing Family all day, and when evening ca, she heard that Mrs. Jing and Jing Sixue were back from shopping, prompting her to sit up in bed, looking lazily yet resentfully in Jing Jihan’s direction: "It’s all your fault, making sleep this long, I’m practically dazed from sleeping."
Jing Jihan had already changed clothes, wearing a dark shirt and trousers, still looking particularly clear and handso. As he turned around, he pinched her chin: "Is your head still hurting?"
Shi Su was montarily stunned, realizing then that her long sleep had been to relieve last night’s hangover.
After sleeping the entire day, the severe headache from the hangover had subsided considerably, and she was hardly uncomfortable anymore.
Wisely, she refrained from random complaints, got up, and tidied herself.
Although Shi Su wasn’t visiting the Jing Family for the first ti, the old estate spans thousands of square ters. Besides several elegant detached Chinese-style villas and loft hos of varying heights within the compound, most of it was covered with lush greenery. Despite this year’s especially cold winter, the flower garden in the estate’s rear courtyard wasn’t as flamboyant as usual but still lively and thriving, showcasing various rare flowers and plants.
Among the greenery were narrow and wide paths, ticulously maintained by gardeners with a blend of Chinese and Western garden design, exuding a quiet, understated luxury.
Shi Su walked along the stone-paved path, even in winter, she could sll the fresh air in the garden, asking as she walked: "Did Wen Ke contact you last night? What exactly happened to her?"
Jing Jihan, tall and handso, walked beside her, watching as she stepped on the blue stone bricks, hopping playfully from one to another, compelled to step precisely in the center of each, transforming into a childlike skip.
He glanced sideways at this rare joyful scene within the Jing Family courtyard, speaking softly: "Qin Zhifeng arrived in the country."
Shi Su paused mid-step on a blue stone brick, abruptly turning to look at him.
Seeing Shi Su’s shocked expression, Jing Jihan’s brows moved slightly: "You know him?"
Never would she have expected that this icy, unapproachable figure could have specifically co to the country, but Shi Su actually didn’t hold a good impression of Qin Zhifeng. After all, Wen Ke had suffered too much neglect, too many injuries and hopeless tis by his side. That man was truly cold and heartless to an appalling degree.
ntioning that person left her with no pleasant expression: "Aware of his existence, saw him a few tis due to Wen Ke, but not familiar. What’s he doing in the country?"
"A fugitive from a major case in Washington smuggled into the country’s coast. They followed him here; I haven’t gone into details yet since it’s not my line of work," Jing Jihan noted Shi Su’s clear displeasure at the ntion of Qin Zhifeng, adding: "If you don’t like him, let’s not dwell on it, don’t let it affect your mood unnecessarily."
"It’s no big deal. I just feel indignant for our Keke," Shi Su noted as she resud walking, no longer focusing on the bricks beneath her feet, speaking as she went: "Wen Ke has already co to Jiang City to start a new life, I hope he gets the ssage. He insisted she should leave, now he’d better stay away too."
As spoken, two figures ahead beca distinctly visible, prompting Shi Su’s indignant expression to swiftly dissipate. Spotting the refined and beautiful girl beside Mrs. Jing, she quickly glanced at Jing Jihan.
"Your sister?" She blinked at him.
Jing Jihan gave her a mild glance for those two words.
But then he grasped her hand, reddened from the chilly air, placing it into his coat pocket.
An intersection lay ahead on the path, leading toward the front hall, inevitable to et face-to-face.
Beholding Jing Jihan and Shi Su stepping out eventually, Mrs. Jing approached, noticing Shi Su’s hand enclosed within Jing Jihan’s pocket. Their intimacy apparent as more than recent lovers, comfortably akin to a long-term couple.
Jing Sixue likewise neared with Mrs. Jing upon seeing Jing Jihan, unexpectedly sighting Shi Su at his side. Since last night, Mr. Jing subtly hinted to everyone at ho that Jing Jihan has a girlfriend who the elder greatly favored. Seeing her today at last, they hadn’t anticipated that reserved and scant-of-words Jing Jihan would appear this warm.
"Jihan," Jing Sixue greeted with a gentle smile, "Mom and I just bought a tie for you at the departnt store. We also brought gifts when returning from the United Kingdom. If you have ti, I’ll fetch them back in the room for you."
"No rush, what’s the need for family gifts? Keep things you can use for yourself," Jing Jihan casually responded with understated coldness.
Jing Sixue unexpectedly noticed the cufflinks on Jing Jihan’s sleeve then, exclaiming: "I’ve never seen the design of these cufflinks before; they’re quite pretty. Which brand or designer crafted them? Honestly, Jihan, in the gifts I brought back from the UK, there are two pairs of cufflinks."
What a coincidence.
Shi Su quietly glanced at Jing Jihan’s cufflinks as well.
She hadn’t noticed earlier, when did the man start wearing these cufflinks regularly?
Jing Jihan’s cultured gaze faintly turned toward Shi Su, speaking at a asured pace: "Gift from my girlfriend."
The smile on Jing Sixue’s face remained but clearly lessened: "Ah, I haven’t had the chance to ask before; is this lovely lady your girlfriend?"
As winter breezes passed, hair strands gently brushed Shi Su’s cheeks; her eyes subtly moved, gazing at the "little squirrel accompanying the Jings," smilingly eting her gaze: "Hello, I’m Shi Su."
