"It’s not the sa..." Shi Su was overwheld by the man’s breath so close she could feel her blood rushing uncontrollably. She raised her hand and pushed him away in a fluster, "You need to go out..."
As Jing Jihan leaned down to help her unbutton her shirt, he used the opportunity to kiss her again. It was then that Shi Su vaguely heard a knocking sound.
In a muffled voice, she quickly spoke in front of the man’s eyes, "Um... seems like soone... is knocking..."
The man acted as if he hadn’t heard it, holding her and kissing her thoroughly before letting go.
When he finally went out to open the door, Shi Su looked down at her clothes only to realize all the buttons on her shirt had been undone...
She raised her hand and pressed the cooler back of her hand to her cheek, quickly changing into her own clothes.
After tidying up her clothing and erging from the walk-in closet, she went to the door and saw the figure outside was a well-preserved middle-aged woman speaking with Jing Jihan.
Shi Su had just co out, not hearing what the middle-aged woman was saying, but she heard Jing Jihan’s voice, "She’s not convenient right now, and didn’t know you were at the Jing Family. I’ll bring her over later."
Despite not intentionally moving to the center of the doorway when exiting the closet, Mrs. Jing still saw part of her silhouette from outside the door.
Shi Su indeed wasn’t very convenient. She hadn’t had ti to look in the mirror after changing her clothes, unaware that her face still bore an intriguing blush.
When she finally appeared before Mrs. Jing, Mrs. Jing understood what Jing Jihan ant by "not convenient" as soon as she saw Shi Su’s face.
Seeing Shi Su had co over, Jing Jihan didn’t shy away, taking her hand and pulling her to his side.
"This is..." Shi Su glanced at the middle-aged woman before her and roughly guessed her identity.
Without waiting for Jing Jihan to formally introduce them, Mrs. Jing’s eyes lingered on the kiss marks on Shi Su’s neck that hadn’t been covered, suppressing a bit of displeasure, her voice inevitably cold, "I am Jihan’s mother."
Shi Su had already guessed that, her mind quick to respond while her body paused slightly, then she imdiately reacted, smiling openly, "So it’s Aunt, hello, I’m Shi Su. I had no idea you were back in the country, so..."
"So you slept at the Jing Family until this late? Didn’t even go to the front hall during breakfast to greet the elders?" Mrs. Jing interrupted her expressionlessly, her gaze once again sweeping over Shi Su’s lingering blush and the marks on her neck, her displeasure growing as she suddenly turned to Jing Jihan, "Jihan, this is the Jing Family, you should know your limits. Even though you knew we had just returned with Si Xue, last night you had urgent business and left, but bringing such a woman back, the relationship unclear, taking advantage of the old master’s good mood, not venturing from the room all morning, this is unlike your usual behavior. Have you been influenced by soone’s pillow talk, becoming so thoughtless?"
Shi Su was abruptly rebuked unceremoniously by Mrs. Jing and didn’t speak further, though the smile remained in her eyes. However, she clearly heard Mrs. Jing’s ntion of "Si Xue and I have just returned."
Jing Sixue?
The one called Little Squirrel on Weibo, with the userna As Scenery Follows?
The one who posted a picture standing next to Jing Jihan, captioned "My man is back"...as his sister?
"You didn’t even give ti for a proper introduction before using four vague words to define my girlfriend, Mom. From my mory, you’re not such a rash person." Jing Jihan’s voice was cool and unhurried, with a smile that was due his mother but which did not reach his eyes.
Mrs. Jing’s dissatisfaction only deepened as she frowned, "I heard last night you have a girlfriend, and I didn’t say anything about it. Today I finally see her, but it’s only because I took the initiative to knock on the door. Is your girlfriend made of gold or jade? Even in the Jing Family she’s so unruly, when she’s out wouldn’t she be making a scene?"
Jing Jihan continued to hold Shi Su’s hand steadily without letting go, his gaze indifferent and calm, "She didn’t know you’re at the Jing Family, I’ve said this more than once."
"She didn’t know, but did you not know too?"
"I know, she wasn’t feeling well last night, so I let her sleep a bit longer. Not taking her to et you earlier was my mistake. You are a reasonable person, understanding she’s unaware, the responsibility isn’t hers. There is no need to vent this bit of dissatisfaction onto her." The man’s voice was consistently indifferent, "You and Si Xue are family, not outsiders. Mother and sister returning ho, you can et them at any ti. How to balance this etiquette among family, I am clear in my heart."
Realizing Jing Jihan was emphasizing that Jing Sixue was a sister, and Shi Su was equally a mber of the Jing Family like them, and they were all not outsiders, Mrs. Jing found herself unable to express anger. Decades of upbringing also forbade her from launching too severe an attack against Shi Su, though the obvious rejection and displeasure in her eyes were undisguised.
"Family? The matter hasn’t even started, don’t speak too soon." Mrs. Jing’s words were directed at Shi Su.
Shi Su didn’t speak, maintaining a polite smile facing Mrs. Jing.
Though ntally thinking MMP, she considered how she’d previously thought the old master of that age would be stubborn and difficult to deal with. Turns out, the old master was quite endearing. She’d thought Mrs. Jing and that Jing Sixue were in the United Kingdom and wouldn’t return, nor have much interaction with her. It turned out they had co back to give her a hard ti.
She had a feeling that Jing Sixue’s intentions towards Jing Jihan weren’t pure, and seeing Mrs. Jing’s attitude, she understood what was really going on.
Shi Su’s face remained politely smiling, "Auntie, I’m really sorry, but I truly didn’t know you were at the Jing Family. You are right, regardless of your presence, it’s inevitable to encounter many elders here, and proper etiquette and manners must be observed before elders. I will rember this in the future. I promise to correct my mistakes, Aunt, please give a chance with your kindness."
Mrs. Jing wanted to say more, but Shi Su’s words stopped her, her expression still dissatisfied, yet verbally she couldn’t be excessively harsh.
Shi Su looked as though she was spoiled by Jing Jihan, yet her speech was precise, composed, and faultless, speaking her stance and apology as she should, with no loopholes, clearly clever.
In fact, Shi Su hadn’t even tidied her hair properly yet, her long hair casually falling over her shoulders, her body unprepared to face Mrs. Jing, but her mind rapidly prepared, looking cheerfully at Mrs. Jing.
However, it seed Mrs. Jing had glanced at her neck several tis.
Shi Su puzzled, what happened to her neck?
