As Jing Jihan spoke, he felt a warm touch coming from the front of his shirt.

He didn’t force her to lift her head to see her tears, just held her head close to him, allowing her to vent first.

Shi Su didn’t cry for long, but her face was too ssy now, so she didn’t lift her head, just stayed close in his arms, murmuring: "I’m sorry, I lost my composure."

In Jing Jihan’s embrace, there seed to be a power that gradually cald her mood, as if a strange and imnse sense of security wrapped around her, forcibly pulling her out of her breakdown.

She sniffed, suddenly pushed against his chest, until she leaned back against the wall. The man didn’t let go of her, but he also didn’t continue to hold her head down, giving her room to breathe, while his gaze fell on her disastrously blood-stained face.

Jing Jihan’s fingers wiped across her face, the pad of his finger touched the bloodstain, looking at the wound on her forehead which clearly wasn’t caused by a simple hit, his cold brows furrowed slightly.

"Let’s go to the hospital." He didn’t want to touch her sensitive nerves and said nothing else, just coaxed her gently, preparing to take her away.

Shi Su, however, stood still and didn’t move, just looked up at the tall and upright man, grabbing his clothes, her voice hoarse from excessive fright: "I know you are good to , but Jing Jihan, let’s... just talk things through today."

Jing Jihan’s expression was colder than ever: "There’s nothing that needs saying, let’s go to the hospital first."

Shi Su insisted on standing there without moving. She also knew she couldn’t resist for long, hurriedly saying: "Look, I’m actually very pathetic, I have nothing, we’re not from the sa world."

As the man expressionlessly moved to pick her up and take her away, Shi Su with reddened eyes pushed his hand away, saying: "I’m filthy, I don’t even know Shi Mianmian’s father—"

Her words were abruptly cut off.

Jing Jihan suddenly, with a blank expression, turned her head and fiercely kissed her.

The corner of Shi Su’s mouth was marked with blood.

The taste of blood spread throughout her mouth.

She leaned rigidly against the wall, and after a few seconds lifted her hand to push forcefully against his shoulder, but the man easily caught her hand and pinned it behind her back.

She wanted to resist, wanted to push him away, but Jing Jihan was always stronger than her, let alone now.

Shi Su’s mouth feigned resistance.

Her only strength attempted to bite him.

He seed insensitive to the pain.

The kiss was more aggressive than any before, without a shred of tenderness.

In the end, the taste of blood in their mouths was unclear whether it was from his lip bitten open, or from her forehead bleeding down.

Shi Su collapsed powerlessly in his embrace, struggling was impossible, even breathing was almost stolen away.

The suffocating feeling made her whole body tremble.

Jing Jihan didn’t let go of her, only when she slumped down did he grasp her chin, forcing her to lift her head and et his gaze.

"Am I just learning about Mianmian today?"

"Shi Su, have I been too indulgent with you, always restraining and enduring, giving you ample ti!"

"You know very well what my thoughts are about you!"

"Did you really think I could endlessly accommodate you without any limits?"

He pinched her chin painfully, his always steady and calm eyes now were a thunderous fury she had never seen.

Shi Su’s vision was dimming, not to ntion speaking, even breathing was becoming difficult.

Jing Jihan held her continually collapsing body, scooping her up and walking away.

-

Shi Su was taken to the hospital, but the dical staff were left helpless. She was sensitive today like a hedgehog covered in spikes, not allowing anyone to touch her, continually curling up in a corner of the examination room, not allowing the doctor to check her head, nor permitting any cleaning or application of dicine to her wounds.

Ultimately, the doctor suggested taking her to a place with fewer people, where she could feel safe and rest for a night. Her forehead wound should be disinfected first, and returned to the hospital for a head examination once her emotions stabilized.

Shi Su’s emotions were indeed tense, Jing Jihan could forcibly restrain her in the hospital, but to prevent her from being further disturbed, agreed to the doctor’s suggestion.

There were too many crew mbers at Junkai Hotel, they couldn’t go back.

Jing Jihan took her to a hotel opposite the hospital, and after entering the room, Shi Su still had cold hands and feet.

He suggested she take a warm bath, but she stood there motionlessly, and finally Jing Jihan led her into the bathroom and filled the bathtub with warm water: "Clean up yourself and then co out to apply dicine, or should I help you undress?"

Shi Su looked up at him for a mont, didn’t say anything, but obediently sat down next to the bathtub.

She sat down but remained still.

Jing Jihan reached out a hand, Shi Su quickly raised her hands to cover her neckline: "I’ll undress myself!"

He didn’t make any further moves, turning to leave but didn’t close the bathroom door.

Shi Su was indeed very cold, these few hours today weren’t the unprecedented panic, but rather the nightmare from five years ago reerging. From soul to body, there wasn’t a spot that wasn’t cold; lacking strength, she could only sit by the bathtub, her hand trembling slightly as she unbuttoned her clothes.

Then she touched the water in the bathtub, moved bit by bit, and sat into the water. The warmth surrounding her made her feel like she finally ca back to life.

Chu Chao’s appearance seed to have ignited a fuse of fear inside her regarding Chu Shangdong’s impending release, since that mont in the car, her hairs stood on end.

Chu Chao and his father were both beasts in sheep’s clothing, seemingly refined and gentle but genuinely filthy devils inside.

When she was eighteen years old, coming out of the restroom outside the dance studio, she saw the then sixteen-year-old Chu Chao hiding outside, looking sowhat nervous and regretful, because he had failed in his attempt to peek.

At the ti, she didn’t realize this, but later she discovered the terrifying nature of this father-and-son pair.

With the bathtub’s water surrounding her, Shi Su realized her head was injured, dared not wash with water, just leaned against the bathtub. Now she felt pain in her wrists and arms too, lifted her arms from the water to see there were two injuries on them, probably grazed while in the car today. At the ti, she was too focused to notice, but now feeling the pain, all her nerves began to tense.

Suddenly, footsteps approached from the bathroom entrance, and she saw Jing Jihan entering with the dicine prescribed by the doctor.

Shi Su was first dumbfounded, then instinctively grabbed the white towel at the edge of the bathtub, spread it over the water, attempting to cover herself, but the water in the bathtub was automatically flowing and changing, the stream moved slowly, and the towel kept shifting with the water’s movent, failing to cover anything.

Jing Jihan seed blind to her futile actions, placing the dicine aside and picking up a towel, sitting on the cabinet next to the bathtub, speaking lightly: "Give your hand."

Shi Su was still struggling with the unruly towel under the water, her arms moving around in the water.

The man glanced at her, extended his long arm, and grabbed her wrist, pulling it above the water!
