Relationship with Nell

“–I’m home, everyone!” (Nell)

With a bang, Nell, who had just finished work, came back, opening the door with a cheery voice.

“Hey, wele back!” (Yuki)

“Wele back, Nell. You’ve done well at work.” (Lefi)

“Wele back, would you like some coffee? It will be ready soon.” (Lyuu)

“Wele back, dinner will take a while.” (Layla)

“Thanks, coffee please! –Riou, Sakuya, I’m home!” (Nell)

“Aughh!” (Riou)

“Huaah?” (Sakuya)

“Yeah, it looks like you both had a great day today! That’s good!” (Nell)

In front of the baby bed where Riou and Sakuya were laid down, Nell nodded with her arms folded, as if there was a sound effect behind her sounding like “peke” or “pakaa.”

Nell had been getting more and more silly and cute for quite some time now, and today she was still as silly and cute as ever.

Well, when it came to her reliable side, she was the same as before. After Layla, Nell was the most efficient housekeeper in our house.

She had bee even more active at housekeeping now that she had bee a mother, for better or worse… well, there was nothing wrong with her when it came to work at the very least, rather she was excellent at it.

After that, Nell placed her things in her room, took off her usual light armor, dressed casually, and came back to us with a smile on her face.

Then, she clung to me.

“Oni-san, I’m tired, so I want your warmth!” (Nell)

“Okay, okay, hey, my silly, cute wife. You’ve worked hard today, so you’re great.” (Yuki)

When I stroked her, she smiled happily and rubbed her head against me.

She was like a cat.

“Hehehe, it’s no exaggeration to say that I’ve been working hard for this moment. Everyone is fawning over me like this!” (Nell)

“Your motives have bee quite impure, Hero-sama.” (Yuki)

“As a result, it’s fine if I can protect the country. In the first place, a country that relies on individual fighting power seems like a bad place in many ways.” (Nell)

Would you really say something like that?

Well, I would also agree with that assessment.

“So, in a sense, it’s a good thing that I’m now allowed to be a part-time hero! Airship-sama, long live airships. Cheers to a world with fewer conflicts!” (Nell)

“Are we toasting with coffee?” (Yuki)

“Hurray for caffeine!” (Nell)

“Haha, you’re in top form today, Nell.” (Yuki)

I thanked Lyuu for the coffee cup she prepared for us and accepted it, and we then had a toast together.

–And so, my wife, who seemed to have calmed down a little bit after consuming caffeine, told me about recent events.

“Nell, how’s work going?” (Yuki)

“I’m bored. There aren’t many monsters that I have to deal with. I mean, I’ve already defeated most of the strong monsters that really needed my help to deal with, so it might be peaceful for a few more years. The strongest monsters are around the town of Alfiro, but that means I don’t have to go on a far away expedition, so it’s easy.” (Nell)

Nell’s current base was the border town of Alfiro, which was the closest town to the Demon Forest.

That meant that all the monsters that appeared near the town were the same as those in the Demon Forest, but Nell could kill them with ease, so they were not much of an enemy.
