Chapter 49: Yapping Dog
Hearing the angel's rejection towards the playboy, the crowd felt so much relief that their angel didn't fall under the temptation of the playboy's request.
Gao Jinhai starts to frown. This is the nth ti she has rejected . In all his life, whenever he wanted sothing, he would get it. Girls, cars, na brand items, all of it would be his. But Ye ixiu is the only girl to ever reject him like this. Every ti, she didn't care about his face as she refuses all of his invites.
Not listening to her rejection, Gao Jinhai tries to convince her again, “ixiu, it’s just dinner. We could get back to your house before you know it.”
But Ye ixiu continues to reject him, “I’m sorry, student Gao, I still can’t go. My parent would be furious with If I broke my curfew.”
Being refused twice in a row made Gao Jinhai furious. He felt his face is being slapped so many tis. Then he threatens her, Ye ixiu, I overlooked your rejection the first ti. But the second one, you aren't giving any face. Now I'm going to ask again, are you coming with to eat dinner or not?”
When the crowd heard Gao Jinhai's threat, they couldn't stand it. One of the students stands up and shouts, "Gao Jinhai, don't go too far." The student couldn't stand his goddess being threatened in front of his face.
Gao Jinhai just glares at him, "Screw off trash! Or do you want your family to be destroyed! I can make it happen if you keep talking."
When the student heard what Gao Jinhai would do to his family, he imdiately sits back down. Gao Jinhai snorts at the clown and looks back at Ye ixiu.
Ye ixiu was about to say sothing to this when a voice cuts in,
“Hey, she already rejected you, now lay off.” A cold and irritated voice said.
The person who stood in between the two of them is an irritated Lu Chen.
At first, Lu Chen didn’t want to get involved with Ye ixiu and wanted to continue to read silently until the next class. However, Gao Jinhai’s confession caused an uproar from the whole crowd of students. The worst point for Lu Chen was when Ye ixiu smiles at him, and the male students turn to zombies as they wallow in despair.
After hearing Gao Jinhai getting rejected, Lu Chen thought he was going to leave and cry. You have your answer! Now leave and let read! Goddammit! But Gao Jinhai had to take another chance with her again.
Aww, co on! Lu Chen couldn’t believe that Gao Jinhai would have the guts to ask Ye ixiu again. Then hearing how Gao Jinhai was threatening Ye ixiu was the breaking point for Lu Chen.
You a**hole, not only ruin my quiet space. Fine, I’ll let that go. But now you’re threatening my little sis! You’re on a one-way ticket to death row now! Even though the two haven’t talked in a long ti, Ye ixiu was still a little sister to Lu Chen.
“Who the hell are you! Go mind your own business! Or do you want to beco like the trash over there?” Gao Jinhai looks at Lu Chen with scorn. Seeing how Lu Chen is so handso, he thought Lu Chen is trying to be the hero saving the princess from harm. The thought of that made Gao Jinhai glare at Lu Chen even more with jealously and hatred.
Lu Chen looks at him like he was a monkey and knits his brows, “This beca my business when you caused all of this commotion in the library of all places. The library is a place for reading and studying, not a place for asking girls out on dates.”
“Of course, I know who you are. Everybody in the entire school knows who you are.” Lu Chen said with an indifferent face.
“Hmph,” Gao Jinhai raises his head as if he was a prideful king that was looking down on a peasant. But the next words Lu Chen said destroy that pride.
“Of course, everybody knows you're a yapping dog that needs to be put in his place.” Lu Chen smiles. He could tell that Gao Jinhai was prideful when he talks like he knew about his family background, and Lu Chen wanted to destroy him.
