Chapter 387: Don’t lie
When Lu Chen opens the door to Zhang Jian's dressing room, Gong Changming's expression turns bright. He warns Lu Chen, "Boss Lu, this is a code alpha!"
"Is it really that bad?" Lu Chen tilts his head. Shouldn't Zhang Jian be over his fear of crowds? He couldn't believe it was that bad. Gong Changming explains,
"I tried ssing with him as you ordered to do. But there was no response!" As he annoyed him, Zhang Jian did the unexpected that made Gong Changming scared.
"Yo. Didn't you get over it?" Lu Chen expected Zhang Jian to respond to it. And he did. But what he got was,
"Y-e-a-h." Zhang Jian's voice was separated into different chunks. He sounds more of a broken robot rather than a human.
"See! He's that bad!" "What do we do now?" Before Gong Changming and Chu Jingyi could say another word, they beca silent.
Smack! Lu Chen slaps the back of Zhang Jian's head!
"Boss?!" "What are you doing?!"
Chu Jingyi and Gong Changming look at Lu Chen with their mouth gaping. They thought he would give Zhang Jian a pep talk or sothing. But not slap him in the head.
But it worked.
"Who am I? What happened?! Did the concert already start!" Zhang Jian gets out of his robot mode and swings his head around. He forgot everything that happened a few hours ago.
Lu Chen sighs and asks him, "Are you good now?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." Zhang Jian does the gust pose.
"Seriously, can you not act scared every ti you go up? You're going to give everybody a heart attack." Lu Chen scolds him.
"Huh? What do you an? I'm not scared."
"What are you saying?" "No, you're not. Don't lie." "Junior Zhang Jian, you shouldn't be lying."
The three negates what he said. Not scared? Weren't you talking like a robot a few seconds ago? Or did you forget about it?
"Yeah. I'm not scared at all. I'm more excited than scared." It was quite the opposite. His hands were shivering from excitent. He was so eager to the point that his brain froze.
"....Alright then." Lu Chen decides to ignore that. He turns to Chu Jingyi, "Chu Jingyi, you don't need to worry about Zhang Jian. Go back to your dressing room and get ready. You got a few minutes before we start."
Chu Jingyi nods, "Understand, boss." He walks out of Zhang Jian's dressing room and back to his. Lu Chen turns back to Gong Changming, "You stay here and watch over Zhang Jian. Don't let him get too excited again."
"Yes, sir!"

While Lu Chen was dealing with these things, inside the VIP room,
"To think you have the confidence to co near brother Chen again." Ye ixiu looks at Feng ifeng with arrogance. The two are sitting away from the others.
"Why can't I be here? Lu Chen was the one who personally invited ." Feng ifeng didn't back down.
"Do you think I won't do anything to you?" Ye ixiu sips on her drink and glares at her.
But the threat doesn't an anything to Feng ifeng. Feng ifeng smirks at her, "If you wanted to do sothing to , then you would have done it the first ti we t in class."
Feng ifeng has a clear idea of how Ye ixiu operates. So she isn't scared of threats like this.
"Hahaha." The evil expression Ye ixiu had before was nowhere to be found.
Instead, a light and happy expression replaced it. Everybody turns over, wondering what's going on.
Feng ifeng's face turns dark, "What's so funny?"
"Nothing, as expected from my rival."
"Rival? How did I beco your rival?" What made it weirder is why Ye ixiu is looking at her like a rival.
"The mont you confessed your feelings for Lu Chen, that makes you my rival."
Feng ifeng choked on air. Her face turns red as she shouts, "I never confessed our feelings!"
Ignoring Feng ifeng''s outburst, Ye ixiu continues, "As my rival, I won't be using any dirty tactics against you. I will be stealing Lu Chen's heart using my own power."
Getting sothing through underhanded ans or through hard work? Ye ixiu chooses the latter.
If Ye ixiu used underhanded ans to get Lu Chen, what good was it? Especially when it's Feng ifeng.
That would be embarrassing. Earning Lu Chen's love through her hard work and beating everybody else will make everything feel so good.
