Chapter 281: They ruined it themselves
Lu Chen started the video. When the people saw what was on it, they were stunned and silent.
The clip was security footage in the company. And what was on it was just shocking. Workers were drinking on the job, doing dirty deals, and abusing their power.
All sorts of things that shouldn't have been done were done to the fullest!
Peng Lang's expression turns white as a sheet of paper. The part Lu Chen showed was Peng Lang drinking on the job and tossing paperwork to other workers. The clip only lasted for a few minutes.

"There are a lot more things they have done. But it's going to take too long for to play all of it." Lu Chen chuckles as he continues,
"So what was it about them doing good work?" His scornful tone made the reporter look away, trying not to make eye contact.
'That's what I thought.' Lu Chen turns over to the shivering workers,
"I have a lot of clips on you guys too. So don't worry about not feeling included." When Lu Chen said that, the workers wanted to hide in a hole.
Duan Huiling smirks when she sees it as well.
'This is what you guys get for making us work overti!' Because the conference was tomorrow, Duan Huiiling and Lu Chen had to work fast. They looked through past security footage to find proof.
They sorted the evidence by their na and what they did.
"So what else do you guys have to say for yourselves?" Duan Huiling and Lu Chen were prepared for whoever talked.
But they didn't need to do anything now. There wasn't even a chant or a sign of anger in the room. The workers understood what was going to happen if they spoke up.
Duan Huiling's grin beca wider when they had nothing to say. Lu Chen looks at the reporter,
"You said before that what I was essentially doing was ruining their lives, right?"
The reporter nods lightly,
"But see what they have done? I don't think it's wrong for to fire people who are like that. They were useless people who were hired through baseless recomndations.
I am running a company. If it fails, my life would be destroyed. Not only that, everybody still working would be in trouble. Do I worry about the people who are actually working or the people who don't?
So don't talk about destroying their lives in front of . They ruined it themselves."
The reporters could hear the rage in his voice. More than that, the reporters understand why now.
Lu Chen takes a deep breath and explains, "I have already given them their paychecks this month. That was the only thing I needed to do. That was it. But now they dare to say that I treated them unfairly? How laughable."
One of the reporters takes up the courage and asks Lu Chen, "Mister, Lu. You said that these workers were hired through baseless recomndations. Can you explain what you an by that?"
Duan Huiling spoke up for this one, "Mr. Lu was recently appointed CEO a few weeks ago. And this recomndation has been happening for a long ti."
"Then, can you explain what the criteria were for the appointnt?"
"To be honest, there weren't any criteria. Board mbers would hire people without a care in the world if they were competent or not. I have seen many qualified workers be fired on the spot."
When the reporters heard that, they understood why it might have happened. It wasn't a secret that the previous CEO was just bad.
Duan Huiling smiles, "However, now that Mr. Lu has beco the new CEO, he had fired almost all of the board mbers."
When the reporters heard that, they were surprised. They didn't think he would fire all of them just like that.
"If I take out the pest, shouldn't I take out the leaders as well? Those board mbers have been abusing their power, destroying the company from the inside. Why would I let them stay in.
Also, when I first beca CEO, so thought it was alright not to co to the first eting. Now that was hilarious." Lu Chen continues to joke around, trying to lighten the mood.
But he turns serious, "Now that I fired them. I'm going to make a statent. The company Arcs is going through new managent, and I promise that it'll do well."
