Chapter 212: Biting instead

Wearing the hospital gown made it hard for Ye ixiu to look at him with a calm expression. She assures him, "Don't worry, brother Chen. I will stay by your side forever now. I won't let you out of my sight."

Staying by his side would be the best thing in two ways; protecting him and because she always wanted to. After what happened, not being by his side would be a death wish.

Even though she has sowhat good intentions, Lu Chen's brows knitted as he says, "What could you do against people like those?" It would definitely cause more harm than good. If Ye ixiu stays around him a lot, Lu Chen knows she would definitely be caught up in things that she doesn't need to be in.

Ergo, the case with Feng ifeng.

"I can bite them to death!" When Lu Chen heard that, he didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

'Bite them? Are your teeth even strong enough to break their skin? And would those people even let you take a bite at them?'

Well, so people are like that, but let's not talk about those. Thinking about Ye ixiu's idea, Lu Chen thought it was a joke at first.

But from her serious expression, Lu Chen realizes the girl is serious.

Lu Chen pinches her cheeks, "Dummy, you don't need to bite them. What are you? A dog?" Going into full parent mode, Lu Chen continues to nag at her,

"And don't even think about fighting them. I don't want you to get into my problems. You should be focusing on class, not picking fights.

And if Ye ixiu gets into fights, chances are, she's going to be taken advantage of.

Ye ixiu thought about it and changed her answer, "Then I will scratch them to death." If she can't bite them, the next best thing is to scratch them to death.

Before Lu Chen could retort to that, he just had an epiphany. His brows raise higher as he asks, "Wait, shouldn't you be at school? Why are you here?" Right now, the ti at school would be in the middle of second period.

"I ca here straight away the mont I heard you were sent to the hospital!" Ye ixiu said it proudly like there was nothing wrong with that.

She had gone to check up on Lu Chen, trying to invite him to lunch again. And when he wasn't there, Zhang Jian told her that he was in the hospital.

Contrary to expecting to be praised, Lu Chen starts to nag at her, leading to an argunt. It lasted for a whole hour.

..

'Thank goodness I got her to agree to what I said.' The two ca to a consensus; Ye ixiu will only be able to go to the hospital after school. And Lu Chen will text here about what occurred for him today.

"Hey! Are you listening to what I'm saying?" Feng ifeng looks up to see Lu Chen zoning out, and she could help but glare.

"Oh, my bad." Lu Chen apologizes instinctively.

'Wait a minute.' His expression changes as he asks, "What are we talking about again?" The man zoned out so hard that he forgot what Feng ifeng was teaching him.

"..." 'Are you serious?' Feng ifeng got a little angry as she said, "Why did I co here to teach you if you aren't going to listen?”

"Yeah, why did you co here?" Taking it literally, Lu Chen had that question on his mind for a while now. He didn't understand why Feng ifeng would co here at lunch.

'Shouldn't she be eating lunch with her friends or sothing?'

Hearing his sudden question, Feng ifeng beca flustered as she said quickly, "I'm your class monitor. I must make sure all the students are up to date with the class materials."

But Lu Chen wasn't buying. "You use that excuse too many tis." The number of tis Feng ifeng has used this excuse was more than he could rember.

'Shouldn't there be boundaries to how much a class monitor could go?' It takes a good while to get to the hospital by walking. And just teaching him about it was a little too much. He was the only one that got special treatnt from her.

Before Lu Chen could call her out about this, Elder Wu walks into the room.
