When I pushed open the door to my dorm room, I was shocked by the dim light.

I watched Kate eat two pancakes and said, “Actually, I’m here today because Aunt Carol called last night.”
“Huh?” Kate looked up, and I saw the nervousness in her eyes.
I sighed. I felt it was a little awkward to tell Kate what Aunt Carol had said. Kate should have called Aunt Carol personally or contacted Alex.

I frowned, thinking that Kate wanted to change the topic. “What do you plan to do? Go back to the Ancient Wood Pack and explain it to Alpha Alex? You can’t allow him to co to the school to get you.”
Kate’s eyes flashed with a strange light. “You spoke to him, didn’t you? What did he say on the phone?”
I recalled what Alex had said last night, “He said, ‘I’ll go to your school and look for her myself, and I can’t promise what I’ll do to her. And I’ll visit you and your royal Lycan Prince, too’.”
I saw Kate’s eyes widen, her eyes flashing with surprise, fear, excitent, and her breathing quickened, and I stared nervously at her.
