"Qing, what’s wrong?"

Hearing Wei Qing’s sudden exclamation, Ning Yayan asked worriedly.

Wei Qing looked out the window, seeing the soon-to-set sun, surprised at how long she had slept.

She grabbed Ning Yayan’s arm, excitedly asking: "Mom, has he woken up?"

Ning Yayan looked at Wei Qing’s expectant eyes, her gaze sowhat evasive.

"Mom, speak!" Wei Qing asked excitedly.

Ning Yayan said helplessly: "Not yet."

Those three words, "not yet," were like a powerful weapon, leaving Wei Qing wounded all over.

She let go of Ning Yayan and staggered towards Lin Wen.

Lin Wen was still lying there, just as he was before she fell asleep.

"Lin Wen, if you don’t wake up soon, I’m really going to leave you!" Wei Qing shouted hysterically.

Ning Yayan approached, heart aching, and hugged Wei Qing: "Qing, don’t be upset."

Wei Qing continued: "Lin Wen, I’m giving you one last chance. If you really don’t wake up, I’m honestly leaving."

But the only response was the sleeping Lin Wen.

As ti ticked away, Wei Qing’s heart sank bit by bit.

Lin Wen did not wake up.

Wei Qing sat next to him, seeming disconnected from her soul, her eyes vacant.

Sang Yu looked at Wei Qing with concern, then turned a pleading gaze towards Jiang Jingming.

Jiang Jingming looked at Wei Qing and said in a low voice: "Send Lin Wen to Beijing for treatnt."

Wei Qing suddenly looked up at Jiang Jingming.

Sang Yu also turned to him at the sa ti.

"Beijing Hospital might have a way," Jiang Jingming, who knew doctors in Beijing, might be able to cure Lin Wen.

Wei Qing suddenly stood up and said: "I want to go too."

Jiang Jingming turned to look at Ning Yayan beside him.

Ning Yayan said: "Then Qing and I will go with you."

Jiang Jingming nodded.

"I’ll contact them first; we should be heading out tomorrow, barring any unexpected issues."

"Alright." Wei Qing said eagerly.

The next day, Wei Qing and Ning Yayan arrived at the airport, accompanied by several people to help care for Lin Wen.

"When you get to Beijing, find Old Wang. I’ve already contacted him; take care of yourselves, understood?" Wei Guo looked at Ning Yayan, expressing his unease.

Ning Yayan: "I know, I’m not a kid anymore. I can take care of myself."

Wei Guo looked at Wei Qing, feeling sowhat resentful, knowing Ning Yayan had to trouble herself with the journey.

But thinking of Wei Qing’s own distress, he said nothing more but advised: "If anything happens, rember to call ho. As long as you’re alive, there’s hope. Do you hear ?"

Wei Qing nodded, her eyes red, saying: "I understand, Dad."

Wei Lai also said: "Take care of yourself, don’t end up collapsing when he wakes up."

Wei Lai and Wei Guo couldn’t go along for now, so they had to rely on friends there to help out.

"Alright." Wei Qing nodded.

The airport announcent was already airing.

"Alright, you two go quickly, don’t miss the boarding."

Ning Yayan and Wei Qing bid farewell to them and headed towards the security check.

On the other side, Lin Wen had already been arranged through a special passage by Jiang Jingming.

By the ti Jiang Jingming returned, Wei Qing and the others had already left.

"Jingming, will that child Lin Wen really wake up?" Wei Guo asked heavily.

Jiang Jingming: "Maybe."

Wei Guo said nothing for a while before speaking: "Let’s go."

The rest was left to fate.

...

Back ho, Sang Yu poured Jiang Jingming a glass of water.

"Have so water."

Jiang Jingming took the glass and drank the water in one gulp.

His eyes filled with unspeakable lancholy.

These days, Jiang Jingming seed unaffected, but Sang Yu understood that he felt bad as well.

Even though Jiang Jingming usually showed irritation with Lin Wen, he actually always considered Lin Wen as a brother.

It’s hard to imagine the turmoil Jiang Jingming felt seeing Lin Wen all covered in blood.

"Everything will be fine." Sang Yu hugged Jiang Jingming, softly comforting him.

Everyone was comforting Wei Qing but seed to overlook Jiang Jingming.

Jiang Jingming held Sang Yu tightly, his eyes showing so pain.

Everyone was waiting for good news from Beijing, but as the days passed,

There was still no news of Lin Wen waking up.

Ning Yayan had already returned from Beijing, leaving only Wei Qing there.

Everyone was hoping for a miracle, but the miracle hadn’t happened...

Unconsciously, five years had passed.

After Shanghai experienced a gentle spring rain, the weather was chilly for a few days, then gradually ward, staying in this cozy atmosphere.

When the last patch of leftover snow lted completely, the green sprigs all sprouted.

"Auntie, is the baby in your belly a brother or sister?" Suisui leaned beside Sang Yu, looking at Sang Yu’s slightly protruding belly and asked.

Sang Yu gently stroked her belly, her face radiant with maternal love: "I don’t know yet."

Suisui naively said: "Auntie, have a little sister, will you?"

Sang Yu smiled: "Why?"

Suisui: "Because then, I can dress her in lots of pretty dresses, teach her to paint, and dance with her."

Sang Yu: "If it’s a brother?"

Suisui tilted her head, seriously pondering: "If it’s a brother, then I... oh dear, I don’t know what to do."

Suisui’s face looked a bit troubled.

A chubby little face, her troubled look was really adorable.

"Co, it’s ready, and the temperature’s just right, have so." He Xiulan walked over to Sang Yu, carrying a bowl of black chicken soup.

"Slls so good, thank you, auntie." Sang Yu accepted it.

He Xiulan: "No need to thank , this black chicken soup is good. I used to make it often when Xiao Jin was pregnant."

"You’re too thin, eat more, or you’ll have no strength when you give birth."

Sang Yu nodded: "Mm, okay, I understand, I’ll definitely finish it all."

After Sang Yu got pregnant, He Xiulan brought her ho to take care of her.

Because Jiang Jingming was busy with work, He Xiulan worried he couldn’t care properly.

Sang Yu initially didn’t want to trouble He Xiulan, but couldn’t resist He Xiulan’s frequent visits to Jiang Jingming’s house.

Feeling it was too troubleso, she decided to move over.

"Grandma, I want so too!" Suisui looked up at He Xiulan, speaking cutely.

He Xiulan gently brushed Suisui’s nose: "Alright, Grandma has already prepared yours."

"Thank you, Grandma. Grandma, you’re the best! Grandma is number one in the world!"

Suisui’s words made He Xiulan very happy.
