Song Jiajia looked at the layout of the room, and mories of the places she used to live in floated in her mind.

She had been to Chen Jinlan and Song Zhenhua’s previous room, and compared to now, it was a world of difference.

She couldn’t believe how Chen Jinlan had gradually adapted to living here.

She lay on the small bed, barely a ter twenty wide, feeling as if she’d fall off just by turning over.

She stared at the ceiling, tears slipping from the corners of her eyes, landing on the pillow.

She let out a painful and suppressed cry.

The house wasn’t soundproofed, Chen Jinlan heard everything clearly. She covered her mouth, trying not to make any noise.

Tears seeped through her fingers.

...

Song Jiajia had been resting at Chen Jinlan’s place for a few days. On this particular day, Song Jiajia dressed neatly and prepared to go out.

"Jiajia, where are you going? You’re not fully recovered yet."

Song Jiajia looked at Chen Jinlan, tugging at the corners of her mouth: "Mom, I’m just going out for a walk."

"Jiajia, it’s better not to go, your health hasn’t fully recovered. If sothing happens..."

"Mom," Song Jiajia interrupted Chen Jinlan, "Mom, I’m fine now, I’ve recovered well. It’s too stuffy here, I feel like I’m about to... " Song Jiajia paused, then continued, "I’m just going out for a walk, Mom, I’ll be back soon."

Chen Jinlan put down the box she was holding and said, "Mom will go with you."

Chen Jinlan was worried about Song Jiajia going out alone.

Song Jiajia refused, "Mom, no need, I’ll go by myself. You should stay ho and continue gluing the boxes. Don’t you have to deliver them soon? Do it well, I’ll be back soon."

With that, Song Jiajia quickly left.

Chen Jinlan didn’t manage to catch up.

Chen Jinlan looked at the unglued boxes in her room, then at the direction Song Jiajia left.

Ultimately, she didn’t follow.

After Song Jiajia left, she walked to Jiang Jingming’s doorstep first.

It was midday, and Jiang Jingming was holding a very refined package, seemingly so desserts.

He knocked on the door, and it quickly opened.

Sang Yu, who opened the door, smiled happily upon seeing Jiang Jingming.

Jiang Jingming affectionately ruffled Sang Yu’s hair and handed the items to her.

Sang Yu took it, smiling even wider.

From this angle, you could see the scene clearly.

Until the door closed.

Song Jiajia did not move forward but stayed watching for a long ti, lost in thought.

After a while, Song Jiajia looked away and turned to leave.

This ti, Song Jiajia headed to Lu Hao’s place.

Song Jiajia stood in front of the door, raised her hand, and knocked slowly.

It took a long ti for soone to open the door.

When Liu Fenglan saw Song Jiajia, her face was full of disgust: "What are you doing back here?"

Saying this, Liu Fenglan tried to close the door.

Song Jiajia pushed forcefully with her hand, causing Liu Fenglan to stagger back.

Almost falling to the ground.

"Hey, you little wench dare to push ?" Liu Fenglan raised her hand and tried to slap Song Jiajia.

Song Jiajia raised her hand to block Liu Fenglan.

Liu Fenglan: "Let go of , you cursed one, you killed my grandson and still have the nerve to co back, dare even to lay hands on ?"

The commotion brought Lu Jianguo and Lu Hao out from inside the house.

The mont Lu Jianguo saw Song Jiajia, there was a hint of guilt in his eyes.

While Lu Hao’s face was full of disgust.

"What are you here for?" Lu Hao questioned.

Song Jiajia looked at Lu Hao with a half-smile: "Isn’t this my ho? Am I not allowed to co back?"

Lu Hao frowned: "You killed..."

"Are you going to say I killed your child?" Song Jiajia spoke first, interrupting Lu Hao: "Lu Hao, don’t forget who made move the fetus and who didn’t send to the hospital."

The last sentence, Song Jiajia said looking at Liu Fenglan.

Her gaze was so cold it was like she was looking at a dead person.

Liu Fenglan was startled by Song Jiajia’s chilly gaze.

"What’s it got to do with , who knew you were so fragile? I gave birth at ho by myself before, aren’t I fine now? I think you’ve just grown too accustod to being a spoiled princess, wanting the best of everything. Ultimately, it’s your own incompetence, or how couldn’t you even birth a child?"

Song Jiajia couldn’t help but laugh from Liu Fenglan’s words.

Lu Hao remained silent, evidently agreeing with Liu Fenglan.

Only Lu Jianguo whispered: "Jiajia, it’s our fault, you——"

"Fault about what? We treated her good enough, we fed her well, and now the grandson is gone, and she still has the nerve to co back? Fine, since you ca back, return everything we served you before." Liu Fenglan said with arms akimbo.

Lu Jianguo disapprovingly looked at Liu Fenglan: "That’s enough, Jiajia doesn’t want this."

"It’s none of your business here, say less." Liu Fenglan impatiently glared at Lu Jianguo.

Lu Jianguo helplessly shook his head.

Song Jiajia looked at Liu Fenglan and suddenly smiled: "Okay, I will certainly serve you well."

Lu Hao said nothing, went straight back into the room, and shut the door.

Liu Fenglan noticed that Song Jiajia was unexpectedly agreeable, thinking she must have been pretending before, still not daring to defy them.

"From today on, you’ll sleep in the kitchen, when I call you, you must co imdiately, did you hear ?"

Song Jiajia laughed: "Sure."

The kitchen, oh great, there are plenty of things in the kitchen.

Lu Jianguo felt sowhat uneasy.

But Liu Fenglan noticed nothing and continued instructing: "Tonight’s dinner, you’ll make it."

Song Jiajia didn’t refuse: "Alright."

Seeing Song Jiajia being so obedient, Liu Fenglan beca even more domineering.

"Boil water for later, I want to soak my feet, did you hear?"

Song Jiajia amicably agreed to everything.

The more she acted this way, the more concerned Lu Jianguo felt.

After finishing her instructions, Liu Fenglan returned to her room, waiting for Song Jiajia to serve her.

Only Lu Jianguo approached when Song Jiajia was boiling water: "Jiajia, about the child’s matter, it’s indeed our fault, you..."

Lu Jianguo didn’t know what more to say; speaking of forgiveness seed too late now.

"Let help you." Lu Jianguo offered, stepping forward.

Song Jiajia turned her head to glance at Lu Jianguo, her gaze devoid of warmth, as if looking at a stranger: "No need."

"Jiajia."

Song Jiajia did not respond, only continued to boil water.

Lu Jianguo waited for a while, sighed deeply, and turned away.

Song Jiajia watched Lu Jianguo’s back, feeling he was even more disgusting than Liu Fenglan.

The entire afternoon, Song Jiajia was bossed around by Liu Fenglan, yet she showed no sign of complaint.
