Chapter 339: Dry Land
"Oh, you have arrived, Ye Jiao," Han Fu stretched his hands as he was preparing himself to go straight to the next stage.
Ye Jiao nodded her head. She had just finished travelling on the water surface, and now, she just needed to recover her Eon Energy. Due to the trial and error that she did, she wasted quite a lot of Eon Energy amount. Though, it was not all for waste because she had gained a new technique.
"You’re going?"
"Yeah, I have had enough of Eon Energy. You need to be faster. There are a lot of others who are much faster than you."
Looking around them, Ye Jiao could already see that there were 7 people there. Even though she would not finish last, it was not really a good ranking too. This might not be race, but they would surely nitpick on the youngsters if their performance was not within expectation.
"I see. I’ll do my best."
"Good luck. I’m off."
Ye Jiao didn’t waste a lot of ti to rest. She set off once she felt her Eon Energy had recovered. This ti, the place they were heading to was dry land, void of any life. All she could feel in this place was the scorching sun and also the hardness of the rock and sand below her.
She already used her Eon Energy to cover her entire body, but she still could feel the dry atmosphere slapping her cheek. It was annoying.
’Hmm, there’s also a lot of Eon Energy that I can absorb.’
Feeling the number of Eon Energy didn’t increase from place to place, Ye Jiao was rather confused. She rembered that they were supposed to only have one place or even two if they were dual elents to absorb the Eon Energy. However, she found herself able to absorb Eon Energy in all of the places at a normal amount from her usual training.
Even though they were all different elents, she didn’t feel any difference.
As for having earth as her elent, Ye Jiao knew that it was impossible. She didn’t feel much better in this place at all.
’Just what is that color that I see before?’ Ye Jiao felt slightly frustrated. She had clearly seen that she had two colors, which ant that it must be a dual elent. However, neither one of the basic elents around her told her which one they were.
Or could it be that those colors actually represent non-elent?
Ye Jiao didn’t know.
Ti passed as the student struggled on the dry land. There was nothing in this place but earth and sand. So people managed to move quicker, but others just kept running at a steady pace.
"Did you find anyone interesting, Elder Xin?" Elder Qian appeared near Elder Xin, who was tasked to supervise the youngsters in this stage.
Elder Xin nodded. "I can find a few who seem to have earth elents as their innate talent. There’s the possibility that their innate talent might be the interdiate elents, but it’s not really known at this point."
"That’s good."
Even though there were only four basic elents, there were more elents that were called interdiate and advanced elents. People with the innate talent of them existed but scarce. Aside from that, these specializations could only be learned once they reached rank 5, which ant that they couldn’t reach the peak of their talent earlier like the others.
They would need to learn the basic elents first before they could even learn the interdiate elent.
This caused their progress to be slow in the beginning, as many of them didn’t have the talent to learn that specific elent.
"They can advance further with that talent, but they need to work hard, or it’ll be all for naught," Elder Xin smirked, showing her mischievous smile. "Of course, I won’t let them enter any other academy."
"We shall see later," Elder Qian laughed.
"No one will give those youngsters a better offer than mine. I’m sure that only you will be able to vie for them."
"I’ll only pick so of them that I found to be my liking. Besides, I’m sure that you also want to pick those three."
Those three certainly targeted the three youngsters who had S talent in this batch. It was always rare to see anyone with S talent. This year was quite different because three of them appeared right at the sa ti.
It was surprising.
"Neither one of them have earth elent talent," Elder Xin replied plainly. The three of them have reached the dry land, so she naturally recognized their movents. It was easy for her to see that neither one of them has an earth elent while her real target has always been an earth elent.
"How about enhancent? I’m sure you’re also targeting them," because of the border, those who picked Huang Mo, the largest academy in the desert area, usually also picked those with the enhancent talent. It was also applicable for Hua Shan, the academy in the mountain’s area, but Elder Qian naturally didn’t say it.
Elder Xin passed her glance to the youngsters in the middle stage area. She curled up her lips. "I’m suspecting that one has the enhancent talent, but we need to see until the examination is over."
Those who had control, illusive, and enhancent could only be seen after they had reached the end of the examination because they needed to evaluate their entire performance. It was not easy, but these elders have to make sure that they manage to find the right one.
"How about the other two?"
"I’m not sure. It didn’t seem like they had any elental talent. Oh, they have reached the end of the dry land. Elder Cai will soon take over."
Elder Qian nodded. He was also doubtful because the three of them didn’t seem to have any elental talent. When they passed the area, they were doing it with the sa speed that didn’t seem to showcase their comfort nor discomfort. This caused a bit of headache to the elders because they were anxious as to what talent they had.
No one wanted to let go of these geniuses.
At this ti, Ye Jiao was still a bit away from the end. She could see more and more people surpassing her. Even those who passed in the middle seed to regain their speed when they were in the dry land. She instantly understood that the speed of these people depended on which terrain they were.
They have a different speed which showcased the difference in their talent and path.
"You’re even slower this ti, Ye Jiao," Han Fu comnted when he saw Ye Jiao arrive by the thin line. This ti, he didn’t hurry to depart because he also felt tired. The journey has been very taxing.
"Yeah." Ye Jiao smiled bitterly. "It seems that this test is truly not a race."
"In any case, I’ll surely finish earlier than you," Han Fu said stubbornly. "Also, do you find any of the terrains to your advantage so far?"
"None, none at all."
