"Why are you looking at this ring...?" Qin Zheng had just opened his mouth when he recalled that the Four Kingdoms still used the bracelet type. So people found it easier to use because the storage bracelet could hold more things. In addition, it was easier to make because of the size.
Spatial Ring was only used by a small number of people. He had changed it when he visited the Four Kingdoms to not attract any attention and changed it back when he returned.
"This is a Spatial Ring," Qin Zheng explained. He returned the three bracelets to Ye Jiao. "Its use is more or less the sa with those bracelets."
"I see," Ye Jiao nodded her head. Her eyes looked at the ring with curiosity as it was her first ti seeing one like that.
Qin Zheng smiled. "If you want, I can make you a ring and then ask so Rune Master to make it into a Spatial Ring."
"Rune Master?"
"It’s one of the jobs available for Eon Energy Masters," Qin Zheng replied as he took out the bottle from before. "There’s only one pill inside, but it’s enough for you. You should take it before the examination to make sure that you can perform with the best of your ability."
"Ah, thank you," Ye Jiao understood that Qin Zheng didn’t want to explain things further to her, so he changed the conversation. As she took the bottle of dicine, a smile appeared on her face.
She felt happy that she would be able to recover.
"Don’t forget to have a spar with
later," Qin Zheng chuckled. "It’ll be for the best if you can attend the sa academy as ..."
"No thanks."
"I haven’t finished talking."
"I don’t have any intention to join the sa academy as you," Ye Jiao glared. "I’ll just choose the one most suitable for .’
Qin Zheng chuckled. "There’s still a week’s ti. Enjoy your ti here, little lass."
"I will."
After that, Qin Zheng walked away. He was actually only walking around because his teacher asked him to familiarize himself with the place. It was out of his expectation to et with that young girl.
He thought that she would take another year before she could co here, but it seed that he was wrong.
She ca much faster.
Ye Jiao quickly walked to the nearby inn and booked a room. She didn’t care for what other people said as she entered the room and took the dicine out. It might be weird for her to trust other people so easily, but since she had stayed with Qin Zheng for a period of ti, she knew that she could trust him.
Only to a certain degree, though.
Waves of the dicine ran through her ridians and body. Ye Jiao could feel the warmth in her entire body. Slowly, she directed it to her ear as it slowly repaired what was broken before.

Hours had already passed before Ye Jiao finished with her training. She smiled brightly, for she could feel that not only has her ear recovered, her own body’s health has also turned far better. It was shocking that the dicine could help her beco much healthier in a short period of ti.
Inspecting her own body, Ye Jiao nodded satisfied.
’Qin Zheng looks like a treasure trove. He seems to have all kinds of precious dicine with him.’
However, now she felt a bit doubtful. If he had this dicine back then, why couldn’t he heal himself from the poison? It might not be able to help much, though, since the properties of this dicine and the poison he was afflicted with were utterly different. At most, it could only help him withstand for more ti as he pushed the poison out of his system.
Ye Jiao pushed the matter to the back of her mind as she stood up and walked out. She wanted to eat a bit before sleeping since it was already night ti.

The next day, Ye Jiao walked out of her room only to see Mu Xin standing in front of her. Seeing the familiar face in front of her, a smile broke out on the corner of her lips. She could never forget this sister of hers.
During the ti when everyone was ridiculing her and mocking her because of her so-called low talent, she was the only one who treated her all the sa. It might be cold at first, but they gradually grew closer as they trained with each other. Those days were the only ti she felt happy when she was staying in that accursed residence.
"I’m glad to see you well, Jiao’er," Mu Xin was the first to speak out. Her cold and indifferent expression has changed into that filled with warmth. She smiled at Ye Jiao with a genuine smile of happiness.
Ye Jiao smiled back. She moved forward and hugged her sworn sister. "I’m happy to see you too, Xin Jie."
"You’re always worrying , Jiao’er," Mu Xin laughed. She hugged the little girl before her tightly. Internally, she wondered if children aged 11 years old were usually this small since Ye Jiao’s arm could only reach her hips.
Or was she the tall one?
"I’m sorry, Xin Jie."
Ye Jiao didn’t tell Mu Xin about her real talent because she was worried that they might try to attack her if it was leaked. She didn’t know who was the one that wanted to take her life. From the way the Su Family and Chen Family contacted one another, she knew that there was soone else out there who wished for her death.
She didn’t want to bring more troubles to anyone around her.
"Geez, it’s fine," Mu Xin patted the girl’s head tenderly. This little girl still looked so small. Even though she knew that Ye Jiao was already stronger than herself, she still wished that she would be able to protect this little girl.
"Are you mad, Xin Jie?"
"I just hope that you can tell
before you decide on sothing like that in the future," Mu Xin replied. "Anyway, you should be careful. The examination is not going to be easy. I’ll be taking my ti to practice until it’s the ti for the examination, so you should also use this chance to the fullest."
"Mhm, I understand, Xin Jie."
Ye Jiao released her arms and smiled at her sister. "Please be careful, Xin Jie."
"You too, Jiao’er."

After parting with Mu Xin, Ye Jiao walked out of the inn. She didn’t have any clear direction of where she wanted to go, so she just headed to the nearby road. It was directed to the square, so there might be sothing interesting in that place.
On her way to the square, she noticed Qi Huan standing with his eyes looking at one direction warily. He was already disguised as a different person with a hood covering his head.
"Are you lost?" Ye Jiao asked.
Qi Huan was stunned. He turned around and smiled wryly when he saw Ye Jiao behind him. For that split second, he was unable to detect her presence at all.
"I’m escaping from my guards."
"Guards?"
"That," pointing to the group of people, Ye Jiao could see several n wearing proper guards’ uniforms. She instantly understood that Qi Huan must have ditched them when they were trying to protect this young man.
"Why are there still so guards?"
"Well, you know my status," Qi Huan shrugged. "I don’t think it’s that weird for them to send
a few guards to take care of anyone who wishes
harm. Though, I would prefer if they didn’t do it."
Even though there was a protection array placed all over the city, it still didn’t guarantee his safety entirely. If there was a sneak attack launched at him, there were still possibilities for him to get wounded. Those from the Chi Kingdom clearly didn’t want that.
Qi Huan was not only their kingdom’s most talented prince. He was also the representative of the entire kingdom in this event. Everyone wished for him to beco the best and entered the largest academy.
"You have quite a troubleso reputation."
"It’s important to keep a public appearance," Qi Huan smiled. "But of course, it’s also important to maintain one’s secret life."

If one didn’t know better, they would be awfully curious about what kind of secret life this young man had. Since Ye Jiao was familiar with this prince, she knew that he was talking about his life as an assassin. After all, it was a profession that couldn’t be said in the public because of their scope of work.
"Anyway, I’m surprised you didn’t wait until all of us have left. Even though there are a lot of people, we’re not going to stay there all the ti."
Ye Jiao looked up and started walking with Qi Huan following after her. "Will it make any difference?"
