Chapter 305: Second Path of the Lilies: Martial Heart (1)

The three of them rested in their place and only moved the next day. They already felt much better, but it was still hard to move their body around. The wounds that they sustained were much bigger and larger compared with what they expected at first.

"Jiao’er, can you hear my voice?" Qi Huan asked.

Ye Jiao turned around and nodded. "I still can hear if you’re close with , so I don’t have that much trouble. But if you’re far away, I can’t really hear you."

Yesterday, she conversed with Lin Ruoyun in a close proximity. She also paid close attention to the woman’s lips movents in order to read what she wanted to say. It was quite hard, but she knew that she had to grow accustod with this condition. Unless she managed to find a dicine to cure her ear, she might never be able to hear properly anymore.

Qi Huan sighed. "You’re too reckless, Jiao’er."

Ye Jiao could only smile bitterly at Qi Huan’s remark. It was not like she didn’t know what he ant, but she truly didn’t have any other choice. At that ti, she was under the oath, so she would have to follow after Zhan Jing’s words unconditionally. The only thod she could think of to make herself didn’t follow would be by destroying her own ear.

This way, she allowed herself to move around as she wished, but it ca with a price. She would be unable to listen clearly anymore.

"It’s fine," Ye Jiao smiled. "If only by doing this, I can save Master; I don’t mind at all. It’s not that much."

"I see."

Ye Jiao could see that Qi Huan still looked at her with pity, but she rely smiled back. She herself knew that she relied on her hearing a lot as part of her practice. After all, an assassin mostly relied on their hearing when they did their mission because they would be in the darkness.

Now that she couldn’t hear clearly anymore, Ye Jiao knew that she might not fit to be an assassin anymore.

"Let’s go and pay our respects to Master for the last ti," Qi Huan struggled to stand up. Compared with Ye Jiao and Lu Wan who could train their body and recover their Eon Energy, he still felt weak all over. His ssy circulation prevented him from recovering his condition, so he had to bear with this weak feeling for a long period of ti.

Lu Wan looked in their direction and stood up slowly. "Let’s go. Senior Sister Lin has been waiting for us."

"Ok."

Slowly, they made their way to the small hill on the right side. They were not sure about their current location, but they knew that it was far away from their previous location. Lin Ruoyun must have brought them away to avoid any chasing.

Though, they doubted there would be any when they recalled the massacre that this young woman left.

"Senior Sister Lin," Ye Jiao called when they reached the top. She could faintly feel Eon Energy movents around her as she got closer. They were warm yet at the sa ti, felt like it was guarding the place.

Lin Ruoyun watched Ye Jiao’s expression and smiled. "I placed an array in this place. That way, no one would be able to get close without permission."

"I see."

"I can’t see any difference," Lu Wan frowned.

"You need to have S talent to be able to sense it clearly. I have already paid my respect," Lin Ruoyun passed a look at the grave behind her. It was a simple grave for her master, but it was already more than enough. There was a tombstone and several flowers that she placed on top of it. The surrounding trees also protected this small hill as one wouldn’t be able to reach this place easily.

"Thank you."

The three of them stepped forward and kowtowed on the ground. Their expression was solemn as they recalled everything that had occurred in the past during their ti with their master.

"Thank you, Master, because you picked

up and allowed

to et with my junior brother and sister," Qi Huan spoke first. "I’ll rember your teachings and achieve my dream no matter what, so you can be rest assured."

There were a lot of tis when he was taught by Zhan Jing personally because he lived in Chi Kingdom. It was hard for him to et with the others because of the distance and his own position. However, it also gave him a lot of chances to be taught by Zhan Jing directly and personally.

They were all precious tis for him.

"Master, I’m grateful because you have introduced the world of poison to

at that ti. I always feel tortured during your training sessions because you want us to beco the best very quickly," Lu Wan smiled bitterly. Those bitter training was still printed clearly in his mind as he knew very well that it was so hard and annoying.

"Thank you for everything, Master."

On the back, Lin Ruoyun’s eyes flashed with surprise. She knew that her uncle barely knew anything about poison, so how co he introduced it to Lu Wan? All her uncle could do would be giving him the basic book and then let the boy be on his own device because he couldn’t teach him anything.

"Master," Ye Jiao’s turn ca next. "Thank you very much for always reprimanding

whenever I make a decision to turn away from my path. You constantly remind

of my true path as a martial artist. Even though you often leave us to train by ourselves, I’ll forever rember your teachings."

After losing her master, Ye Jiao finally ca to understand why he always reprimanded her when she tried to take her revenge. She was still not strong enough, yet she put them in her heart too much. There was a much wider path as a martial artist that she had to go through, so she had to learn the word ’enough’ and ’sufficient.’

There was no need for her to continuously plot for them. If they dared to make trouble for her, she would surely retaliate. So far, she had already done more than enough as revenge for what they have done to her family. Their lives would no longer be the sa anymore with her intervention that led them faster on their destructive path.

Now, she was faced with the next option. She knew that she would hate Bao Fu Organization, but at the sa ti, she knew that she couldn’t fight them. They were in a completely different league. There was no need for her to actively seek them for revenge.

She would bide her ti and followed her path as a martial artist.

"Thank you, Master."

As soon as Ye Jiao finished speaking, the other three could feel a faint gust of wind passed by their cheeks. It was warm yet cool at the sa ti. The sensation was weird, but they had the feeling that there was sothing that changed in the young girl beside them. It was as if she had slowly taken another step as a martial artist.

Lin Ruoyun waited until the three of them finished before she spoke up. "Master must be happy to be able to et with you three."

Qi Huan smiled. "We’re the one who feel grateful to be able to et with soone like Master."

"Yep!" The other two nodded their heads.

Seeing their reaction, Lin Ruoyun smiled slightly. "It’s already the ti for

to leave."

"So soon?" Lu Wan was stunned.

"Yes, I’m the Elite Disciple in an academy and I kind of sneak out," Lin Ruoyun admitted. "If I don’t return soon, I’m afraid that my teacher is going to flip the entire land just to look for ."

That helpless tone made the three of them shivered. It seed that Lin Ruoyun’s master must be very protective of her.

Lin Ruoyun turned around and the golem Lucky ca closer. Its height was only slightly taller than Lin Ruoyun. "Farewell, my juniors. Even though I can’t directly disclose our relationships with anyone, but you’re still my junior brothers and sister."

"We’re grateful to you, Senior Sister Lin," Ye Jiao smiled.

Lin Ruoyun nodded. "If fate wills it, we shall et again in the future."

With that, she left, standing on top of her golem.
