Facing the pressure from Eon Energy Master rank 2 aura, Ye Jiao could see why these people were unable to move once this man found them. Even as Eon Energy Master rank 1, she found it hindering her movents. It might not affect her too much, but people without Eon Energy might not be able to move at all.

"Naughty kids have to be punished," the governor said in an eerie tone. He was not careful in his action as he just walked forward. It seed that his confidence as Eon Energy Master rank 2 made him think of himself as soone invicible.
Ye Jiao frowned. From her sense, she knew that Lu Wan was nearby, but he didn't make a move for a chance hadn't co yet. She cald herself and prepared to draw her curved dagger that she placed in her storage bracelet.

The mont the governor was close enough, Ye Jiao's dagger appeared on her right arm as she swung it as hard as possible. Her aim was the man's stomach as she was not tall enough to reach his neck.

'It's shallow.'
The sound of blade tearing apart clothes entered her ear, but Ye Jiao was vigilant as the man instinctively kicked forward. He was surprised that a kid could move under his pressure. Moreover, he had allowed himself to get wounded.
Ye Jiao frowned as she jumped backwards. Her body sorsaulted midair as she landed a few steps away from the governor. Her eyes watched the governor's movents carefully for she understood that she was still far weaker than him.
'His instinct is not bad.'
At the mont the governor was about to summon his weapon, a blade made its way to his direction.

The governor jumped back in ti as the blade landed on the ground. The chain connected the end of the blade imdiately pulled the blade back as Lu Wan twisted it to make another attack.
"You damned kids!" the governor yelled angrily.
An axe appeared on his arm as Ye Jiao dashed forward. Even without waiting for Lu Wan's signal, the two of them moved in harmony to attack the governor together. They have sparred against one another countless tis to the point that they were familiar with each other's attack very well.

The governor didn't manage to react in ti as he only blocked Lu Wan's blade. On the other hand, Ye Jiao managed to give him another wound, but she ca to realize that her attacks were extrely shallow. It wouldn't give him more than a flesh wound.
The two of them didn't take any rest as they launched another attack. Ye Jiao tried to attack deeper, but it was hard from her position to land any powerful attack. In addition, her small strength and the man's defense caused it to be hard.
"Who are you kids?" the governor yelled angrily as he slamd his large axe on the ground, creating a small tremor on the ground around him.
"You don't need to know," Lu Wan spat out as he twisted the chain once more. The blade headed to the governor's direction once again while the latter raised his axe to block it again.
Clang!
"Guh," the governor could clearly feel the power beneath the attack grew stronger. The two of them seed to grow quicker when they fought against him.
'I can't go on like this. I have to finish this quickly.'
Slash!
Ye Jiao circled around and made another wound on the governor's leg. It was still as shallow as ever as she realized that the one that protected the governor was his Eon Energy layer.
It was a defensive layer that was known to be the trademark of Eon Energy Master rank 2. At this rank, they would gain the ability to form a perfect defensive barrier around their body. It was capable of protecting them just like armor.
"You brats wished to defeat ? It's impossible!" the governor twisted his axe to make a circular movent, sweeping everything around him. Ye Jiao quickly jumped back while Lu Wan retracted his chain.
Clang!
As she was not fast enough, Ye Jiao blocked the attack from the governor as she jumped backwards.
'It's heavy.'
The difference between rank 1 and 2 seed to be painfully clear this ti. No matter how many tis her attack went in, neither one of them managed to harm the governor fatally.
"Again!" Lu Wan yelled and launched another attack. His eyes were glaring at the governor as if he wished to tear the man imdiately.
The governor raised his axe and blocked the blade once more. He instinctively blocked every attack from Lu Wan while allowing Ye Jiao's attack to reach him. It was hard for him to pay attention to two children who attacked in completely different styles and directions.
As he was not a veteran fighter, he had to compromise and his answer was to let Ye Jiao's attack reach him because she was smaller compared to Lu Wan.
"Tsk!" Lu Wan clicked his tongue and twisted his chain midair. He made it move further to allow Ye Jiao to attack first in order to change the blocking order of the man.
Ye Jiao dashed forward the mont she saw Lu Wan wished to attack after her. She jumped forward and attacked the governor from the side.
Clang!
This ti, it was blocked and at the sa ti Ye Jiao jumped back, Lu Wan's chain blade reached the governor. Pushing the axe backwards, the governor blocked the attack too.

"Again!" Lu Wan was about to pull back the chain when he felt the governor pushed the blade to the side. The sudden disruption destroyed his tempo as the blade headed to the opposite direction, the direction where Ye Jiao was about to launch another attack,
