Chapter 108: First Group Mission (1)
"Where are we going, Senior Brother Lu?" Ye Jiao asked as they strolled the market.
Lu Wan placed his hand on the back of his head. "Do you rember Master's instruction that we should gain more experience? We're going to Bao Fu Organization's Headquarter and receive the mission that Master has entrusted to us."
"Mission?" Ye Jiao's eyes lit up at the ntion of mission. It has been a long ti since her first mission, so it was obvious that the ti has co for them to do another mission. This ti, it would be a completely different mission from before.
"Yes, group mission."
"Do you think we're ready to accept a mission?"
Zhan Jing had instructed them beforehand that they were not allowed to accept mission before they reached rank 2 because accepting mission when they were still rank 1 could be proven to be dangerous.
"Don't worry, two Eon Energy Master rank 1 defeating Eon Energy Master rank 2 is common."
Even though Ye Jiao was doubtful, she decided to follow after her senior brother in his decision. Passing through the market, they reached the gate and Lu Wan showed a plate. It was Lu Family's servant plate that was designed for them to pass through the gate on occasion.
"Open the gate."
As it was Lu Family, the guard didn't dare to neglect their job. With that, Lu Wan and Ye Jiao passed through the first hurdle without any difficulties.
"By the way, do you know the location of Bao Fu Organization's Headquarter, Senior Brother Lu?"
"I don't know, but Master gave
this map."
Seeing the poorly made map, Ye Jiao smiled wryly. "Can you read the map, Senior Brother Lu?"
"Don't underestimate , this kind of map is nothing in my eyes."
"Really?"
"Yes!"
Even though Lu Wan said it like that, the two of them spent around a week in the forest as they didn't manage to find the headquarter quickly. As their strength was only at rank 1, they only battled against rank 1 beast and ran away from anything higher than that. They didn't want to risk it as rank 2 beasts were known to be stronger than normal Eon Energy Master rank 2.
"Senior Brother Lu, where should we go after this?" Ye Jiao asked with a hint of impatience in her tone. They have been going in a circle for the past few hours and battled against a rank 1 beast just now.
Lu Wan scratched his head. "Wait a minute. It should be sowhere around here, but I'm not sure where we should go."
"If you don't decide soon, another beast is going to co again."
"Just wait for a mont!"
The two of them took turns in defeating the beast that ca to them. Fighting against rank 1 beast was nothing to them as they could do it with ease. Thanks to the beasts, they also have plenty of at to eat each day.
Ye Jiao sighed. She spotted a sturdy tree not far from her and climbed it speedily. In re seconds, she had reached the peak as she used it to study her surroundings, which was filled with trees all around. However, one direction seed to be different from the rest as Ye Jiao could see faint layers of smoke as if there was a village.
"There's a village nearby," Ye Jiao said as she landed on the ground. "Let's head there and try to ask around."
Lu Wan looked at the poorly made map once again before sighing. "Fine."
The two of them walked in the direction of the village before they stopped suddenly. The so-called village that Ye Jiao ntioned didn't seem to exist as the two of them didn't see anything. All they could see was forest.
"There's no indication of village around here too, though," Lu Wan studied the map once again, feeling confused at the result of their search.
"There's a higher concentration of Eon Energy around here," Ye Jiao stepped to the left slightly. She raised her hand and tried to feel the air. As she had higher sensitivity to Eon Energy, she could confidently say that this place was filled with Eon Energy.
"Really?"
While Lu Wan was trying to feel it, Ye Jiao started to walk again. Her eyes scanned the surroundings as she tried to find out the source. After a few minutes, she stopped in one place and smiled brightly.
"I found it, Senior Brother Lu."
"What do you find?"
"Here," Ye Jiao pointed to her front. As Lu Wan reached Ye Jiao's side, he could see that the scenery changed considerably from before. If he could only see forest before, right now he could see a beautiful small town.
There were several small buildings in front of them and at the center of the headquarter was a large circular building. It was carved with peculiar engraving all around. Just one look was enough to make them feel awe.
"If we're not standing here, we won't be able to see the building. It's truly spectacular," Lu Wan said in amazent.
Ye Jiao nodded. "They must have placed so barrier or the like to prevent anyone from seeing it. This way, not many people will be able to find this place."
"This is just one of the nurous Bao Fu Organization Headquarters in the four kingdoms and they already make it this luxurious," Lu Wan muttered. "I'm truly amazed."
"One of the nurous?" Ye Jiao was stunned.
Lu Wan nodded. "Don't you know that Bao Fu Organization didn't belong to this place? The one in Four Kingdoms is just one of the various branches that they have. The size of their organization is so large that we can't even try to imagine it."
Hearing that, Ye Jiao was dumbfounded. She thought that this organization was already big enough because it could cover up the entire four kingdoms, but it was actually not everything. Now, she really wanted to know the extent of the organization's size.
"Just... how big is this organization?"
"How should I know? Anyway, let's take our mission."
Ignoring the dumbfounded Ye Jiao, Lu Wan jogged to the entrance of the large building. Thankfully, they would be able to reach the place if they walked from this point.
