"Umm, do you think we could go back to the city now? I kind of want to see how everyone is doing, and that paperwork isn't going to take care of itself," Hilda said with a smile as she walked over to . I had almost forgotten I had brought her along.
"Girls, do you all want to go et in Northwall for so drinks and snacks in Countess Eliza's backyard?" I asked, and most of them nodded.
"I have to go back and check on so test that I have running, but I will co by a little later if that is okay?" Amanda asked, and I nodded.
"I have to go check on things as well, but I will be coming back the mont that I am done! You have better not have anything else planned for the day! you are going to be spending it with all of us!" Titania snapped from where I was still holding her.
"Yes, dear. I will only be a short bit in Torrain, then I will et you all there, but maybe let ask Eliza first if it is okay. I tend to just invite people over and then ask her about it later, but she is a pretty good sport about it!" I laughed, and the won all smiled before saying their goodbyes and heading back to their hos.
I gestured for a portal, but only a small one that Eliza nearly walked into but stopped just in ti.
"Galio!" Eliza cried, and I grinned and kissed her through the portal.
"I invited over all the goddesses, so do you mind getting so snacks and drinks ready? I am sure that the girls will all bring things, so I don't think we will need much," I explained, and Eliza nodded with excitent.
"Really?! ALL OF THEM?!" Eliza squealed with excitent, but then she peered over my shoulder at Hilda, who I knew was standing behind , and waved. "You should co too, Hilda!"
"I can't, I have paperwork, but I will co to visit when you have the festival to look for the new goddess," Hilda explained as she ca to stand beside , and I stretched the portal a bit, so we were all in view.
"Awe!" Eliza complained but then looked at with a smile. "When are they coming?"
"Sowhere between now and later," I grinned, and Eliza rolled her eyes.
"Typical Goddess Ti! Fine, I will get things ready. How long until you are coming ho?" Eliza asked.
"Very soon, beautiful. I just have to drop Hilda off, and then I will be coming straight ho, okay?" I asked, and Eliza kissed again and nodded before running off.
I closed the portal and looked at the high-rising city and now colorful city.
I was proud of myself, and it was amazing to see that with a little bit of god-tier magic, I could make such an impressive change. All I had to do was believe in my own capabilities, and I could make a difference.
Finally, with a smile on my face, I turned to Hilda and gestured for a portal. She smiled, and hopped through but then turned to stop as I was about to join her.
"You clearly have a lot on your plate, Cat God, and the Mothers and I need to take control of the city for ourselves. Let us have a week before you co back, and then we can show you how much things have really changed. You have done so much for everyone. Now, I think that it is ti that we started to pick up our pieces and put everything back together the right way. Thank you again for everything that you have done and for saving ," Hilda said, and then she leaned in to kiss .
I saw it coming, so I pulled her into a passionate kiss that took her breath away and left her breathing heavily when I let her go again.
"I'll see you soon, Hilda," I said and then closed the portal.
Then I tipped back like a toppled statue, flopped down on my back with a thud, and let out a long sigh. Fuck, this arc of my ti on the Human Island had been much more exhaustive than Northwall had been.
Still, I was acting like I was washing my hands clean of this place, but the truth was that this was just the start. Yet, I had made a difference, and that was what I ca to do.
A portal opened, and my hair stood on end as I felt the Negative Energy.
"Don't bother getting up. I have only co to talk," Nemoria said as she walked out and then sat down beside .
"What do you want?" I asked without looking over.
"I ca to congratulate you on a job well done. What you have done here is comndable, and you are learning to control the darkness better," Nemoria said, and I sighed.
"Sure, thanks. Now, what do you actually want, mother?" I asked, finally looking over at her and her black, cracked face.
"Do I have to want sothing to co and visit my son?" Nemoria asked, and I rolled my eyes and then sat up beside my mother.
