"I want to die peacefully in my bed," Clayton stretched out a light smirk. "I’m 64 years old, so I figure I’ll die at 74, or 75 if we round it up?"

"Do you think this is a joke?" She barked, "I’m a Draconic Gravity Magus! You can’t escape my grasp even if the Gods themselves ca down here to help you!"

Clayton did not budge. Well, an extra layer of gravity was pushing him down constantly, inflicted by Rita, but he was otherwise healthy. He even spat out a few fragnts of his ribs as he spoke to her.

With that said, he was confident to add, "You’re not the first Gravity Magus I saw, so your skills do not impress . I do not understand how you were given such a title, as knowing the stupid laws of our Kingdom, you should be dead already, but let make it clear to you once more; You do not impress , and I do not fear you."

"You asked how I wanted to die, and I answered." He smirked.

"I bla myself for bothering to talk to a Dark Mage," She scoffed. "Make your peace with whatever Demon you pray to."

"Are you impaired?" He asked, "You don’t make peace with Demons. They’re not Gods, and they don’t care to hear from us."

Rita was beyond irritated at this point. She didn’t like old n in general, but old n with a smart mouth broke out a violent stream of hate within her that she could not have predicted. She’d even prefer to deal with a perverted old man at this point, because at least they were predictable.

Nevertheless, she was done talking, and started working her magic on him.

She spread her arms open, and Clayton’s armor popped open as a result. It fell off of his body, rendered useless, and many leather bags filled with gold and gems fell off of his torso. The bags were dampened by his blood.

"Filthy grave robber..." She was quick to make an assumption.

Clayton did not budge. His face was unchanging, and he even welcod her attack.

"This won’t work out for you," He smiled.

Rita did not respond, as she didn’t want to give him any material to work with. She simply attacked him again.

Clayton’s chest started caving in. His ribs were being shattered once more, each of them broken in many pieces.

The pressure he felt now was much greater compared to earlier on when he was being pushed against the floor, and he wasn’t surprised by this. He agitated Rita more than he even intended.

Nevertheless, he was not worried. The extre pressure, which proceeded to flatten his organs, inflicting imnse pain on his person, in a way, helped him focus more.

Clayton had a simple plan in mind, and he initiated it shortly after his liver collapsed.

Out of both of his hands, small red orbs shone. These orbs then sought their target, and bead towards Rita in the blink of an eye, just as he intended.

He unleashed the Demonic Kiss ability. He double wielded it, intensifying his precise, singular attack!

Two red streams of Blood Essence stretched out between them. Clayton was the harvester, and Rita the harvestee.

The system started raging in his head. She spamd him with contemporary notifications.

[-214 Life Essence Points]

[ 550 Life Essence Points]

[-939 Life Essence Points]

[ 790 Life Essence Points]

The notifications continued in that matter, tens of them within seconds. Divisions and multiplications fighting with one another as if Ying and Yang squabbled over a card ga.

Rita’s condition began to deteriorate. She was a lot stronger than Clayton expected her to be, and he underestimated her because he had never heard of the Draconic Magus rank before, but nevertheless, he had the advantage.

He was in great pain, he couldn’t move, his organs kept regenerating only to be destroyed again, but he still had the upper hand. The Demonic Kiss ability did not separate itself from a target once it was locked in on one.

Rita noticed this, and she beca aware that Clayton was using her Essence to regenerate his body, so she started getting desperate.

In response, she dual-wielded her abilities, and cranked them up to the max, increasing her gravitous grip by three tis!

[-1,100 Life Essence Points]

[ 900 Life Essence Points]

[-1,424 Life Essence Points]

[ 1,051 Life Essence Points]

"Darn," He clenched his jaw so hard that his front teeth cracked. "I’m... dying?"

Clayton was quite surprised, no doubt about it, but it would appear that he has t his match. Rita was taking him down with her!

Her skin had wrinkled so much that one would think she was going to fall apart like a dry branch. Her lucious, golden hair fell off, as a result of Clayton’s reciprocal, continuous attack, but she did not give up.

"No..." He winced.

The system kept alarming him that he was losing more points than he was gaining. The Life Essence within him wasn’t unlimited, and he was not immortal.

Other than that, he had been attacking Rita for a full minute now, and yet she was still standing! Unlike every other man and woman he had killed, his life draining abilities were not strong enough to kill Rita within ten short seconds.

She was close to death herself, sure, but she was still fighting, and a few re seconds may decide who may survive this battle between them. Their friends remained uninvolved for a multitude of reasons.

[Your Life Essence Points are critically low!]

The system kept warning him. Every second that passed felt both like an hour, and in fact shorter than a second. He could not comprehend this phenonon as the constant pain kept him busy.

Rita had squeezed him so hard, that the entirety of his lower body was torn off. He was split in the middle three tis, and had to regrow his body parts as a result, including his legs, and his penis. It was costly.

Three pairs of his old legs, from the belly button and below, were laid flat on the broken floor.

The Inn Keeper drank another beer, as he didn’t know what else to do. He couldn’t decide.

"This is it, I suppose," He groaned, as his points devolved into tens, spiraling down to lower numbers.

Clayton made peace with the fact that he was about to die. He wasn’t ready, especially since he hasn’t yet avenged the death of his family, but he wasn’t given another choice.

He closed his eyes, preparing to take his last breath, however sharp it might be, but then, he felt the pressure around his body decreasing significantly. He felt free again, which made him suspect that he died.

However, when he opened his eyes, he saw Rita on the floor, dead, looking like roadkill.

It would appear that a wooden chair leg was in her head, through her brittle skull.

He took a mont to gather himself together, as his body regenerated.

Monts later, he acknowledged a person that he did not expect to see right now. Judging from the worried look on their face, he quickly pieced the puzzle together, and figured out who he had to thank for saving his life!
