3x Cloning System: The Fleshmancer's Undead Army is full of Heroes Chapter 18: The Grand Offer
"I do rember, jackass," Esralda was quick to anger, "Is this fun for you? Do you find joy in not letting the dead rest? Is my soul even in heaven right now, or is it just wandering around without my consent?"
"I’d assu your soul flew right back into your body as soon as we revived you, so I apologize, but your soul is stuck here with you for a while." He followed along.
"Jackass!" She shouted.
In the blink of an eye, she swung her sword at him again, beheading him once more!
Once again, much like the most horrifying show of horror, Clayton grew his head back within seconds, reminding the Princess just who she was dealing with.
"You should know better than to attack ," He said.
Clayton tried to seem annoyed, but in actuality, he figured out the rebellious tendencies of the Princess at that very mont. He figured out that she could only be rebellious when she was angry, which made sense.
He even felt his connection with her being severed as soon as she got angry, and then getting restored seconds later. Her rebellious ticks were short, but he was aware that she could cause a lot of damage to his friends, if she suffered a ’tick’ at the wrong ti.
Clayton listened to her cuss him out, along with seven generations of his, but he kept a stern face. He barely listened to her, and wanted to figure out what to do with her, or essentially, how to control her.
At last, he said, "Unlike your motives, Princess Esralda, I never intended to kill you specifically, nevertheless revive you after, but since you’re here already, how about we cut a deal?"
"The day I make a deal with The Devil, is the day I run my own sword through my head!" She was quick to answer.
At that point, Lara ca back with Rufus. She had caught up to him, and helped him gain his courage to face the ’undead’ slave who bit back.
Rufus wasn’t known for his bravery. He was a Necromancer, and he had learned to flee when he could, so the fact that he got back here was a great, personal achievent of his.
Nevertheless, Esralda got even more pissed off as soon as she saw them, so she rushed forward, and swung her sword against them!
To everyone’s surprise, her sword clashed with another, it clashed with the sword of an undead slave, the sa one that Rufus had ’boosted’ before he moved on to Esralda!
The expression on the slave’s face was pale, and from the looks of it, he used to be a Hero before he was slaughtered for good, but right now, the slave was strong, and skilled enough to deflect every swing that Esralda threw against it!
At so point, she gave up, and walked away a few steps, dropped down to one knee, and shifted so of her weight on her sword.
"Just kill , please," She said, her voice low, "Kill , free from this curse."
Rufus was more than willing to kill her, even though she was at least half of his creation, but then again, he didn’t nearly have the courage to walk forward and stab her. He feared what her reaction might be, and quite frankly, he was debating if he should run away again.
The boosted slave seed interested in killing her, he even drew his sword back to swing it, but Clayton stopped him by rely looking at him.
"Interesting..." He looked at the slave, "I’d say he’s half... conscious?"
[It would appear so,] The system chirped in his head. [The slave is conscious enough to recognize threats by himself, but judging from his current brain function, he’s far away from rebelling, as he doesn’t even understand what rebellion is.]
’You can read brains?’ He followed along, ’That can co in handy.’
[I can analyze the brains of your slaves to determine their cognitive abilities, yes, but I can’t read their minds, Clayton.]
’That’s a sha,’ He thought, and then got back to the princess.
He walked towards her, squatted down to look her in the eye, and said, "We won’t kill you, Esralda, I can guarantee that no one under my command will lay a finger on you, regardless of how much you may want, or scream at them to do so. But why are you so obsessed with death when I have the strength to give you your life back?"
Esralda raised her head, looked at him, and for once, she didn’t seem angry. She seed curious, and toyed around with the idea of making a deal with The Devil, despite how dramatic she was earlier on.
"What are you talking about?" She asked.
"Look around you," He smiled, "Do you see the skeletons? You were just like them a mont ago, but I raised you back from the dead, and we even buffed you up so much that you nearly look human again. You can think for yourself, mostly, and you can tell right from wrong."
Clayton caught her attention quite a bit, he could tell, and for that matter, he continued, "It may leave crippled for a while, but I can make you whole again, I can make you human. Hell, I can even make you so healthy that you’ll live for another eighty years! No strings attached, you won’t be my slave after I help you, and you’ll be able to enjoy your Royal life to the fullest, instead of breaking your father’s heart by dying young."
"Sounds tempting," She sighed, and regained her stoic composure, nearly sure that he was going to spew out an unholy request. "What do you want in return? Do you want to kill my father or sothing?"
"Not exactly," He chuckled, "But I do need information, for one thing, and I need you to cooperate with for as long as I please. For at most a year, you will do whatever I ask of you, and as a reward, I will give you your life back."
