Zinnia Lawrence instantly sensed danger. Just as the man raised his hand to grab her, she fiercely swung her bag at him.

"Help! Soone, help!"

At the sa ti, she shouted loudly.

The commotion imdiately drew people’s attention, but the two n reacted swiftly.

They obviously realized Zinnia had caught onto their malicious intentions. One man restrained the woman in the red dress, while the other quickly stepped forward to grab Zinnia by the waist, announcing loudly,

"Baby, don’t be mad at . Let’s stop arguing, okay? It’s all my fault. Sorry, my wife drank too much..."

He intended to drag Zinnia away with him.

Zinnia was horrified, especially when she noticed that those she had called out to for help seed to believe the man’s words and were about to turn back to their dancing. Zinnia imdiately shouted,

"I’m a lesbian! Let go of and my wife. We are a couple, and we don’t know you at all!"

Zinnia shouted and struggled, clinging onto the woman in the dress.

"Let go of my wife! Honey!"

Zinnia knew that at this mont, creating a spectacle was the quickest way to grab people’s attention.

After shouting, she resolutely kissed the woman in the red dress as if to prove her point.

The two beautiful, striking won kissing imdiately stirred the crowd into a frenzy.

Before the burly man could cover Zinnia’s mouth, the situation had spiraled completely out of control!

Zinnia had seized control of the rhythm, and many people ca closer to surround them.

Previously, these n had conspired to do similar things, and usually, the won would be too frightened to speak coherently.

Even if they managed to shout, it would just be phrases like, "He’s not my boyfriend," or "Help, I don’t know him."

People who heard usually assud it was just a couple having an argunt, and wouldn’t interfere.

But this woman was completely unpredictable!

"They really are a couple. Do any of you recognize them?"

"Why would two gorgeous girls keep it all in the family?"

"Why do those two guys look so off?"

...

The two n, seeing they were being watched, suddenly panicked. They exchanged a glance, then threw the woman in the red dress to the ground and attempted to flee.

"Miss, what’s going on?" At this mont, Nathan Nash and others were drawn by the commotion.

Nathan squeezed through the crowd, and Zinnia quickly pointed at the two fleeing n.

"Catch them quickly; they are human traffickers!"

When Jenson Forrest saw the photos Miles Chase had taken, his handso face darkened.

He imdiately called Zinnia, but the woman really wouldn’t answer.

Jenson couldn’t just wait anymore. With a cold expression, he got out of bed and instructed in a cold voice toward the outside,

"Get the car ready now!"

But by the ti Jenson arrived at Revelry, Zinnia was no longer there.

Miles and Finn Quinn were still there; they had just witnessed quite a show from an excellent vantage point on the second floor.

Neither was surprised by Jenson’s arrival.

"Where is she?" Jenson asked in a deep voice.

Miles glanced at his watch, turned his head to Finn, and raised an eyebrow, "Thirty-seven minutes, not even an hour. I win."

Finn was extrely frustrated; his new sports car!

A limited edition, waited half a year for, barely touched, and it was lost just like that?

"Third Brother, if you could have held on for just twenty more minutes, I wouldn’t have..."

Finn looked at Jenson resentfully, but t with Jenson’s cold, piercing gaze.

His scalp tightened at once, and he shut his mouth.

Jenson didn’t need to ask to know what they were betting on. He was not in the mood to argue with them; he coldly asked again,

"Where is she?"

"Third Brother, calm down."

"Because there might be more infuriating things to co."

Jenson was already impatient, his eyes sharp as a blade.

Miles hurriedly said, "Zinnia was taken to the police station."

"Third Brother, it’s your turn to make the rounds; next stop, the police station tour."

Police station?

Jenson couldn’t bear it any longer and said coldly, "Three, two..."

"Zinnia was involved in capturing two human traffickers, rescued a woman, and went to the police station to assist with the investigation. She just left about ten minutes ago."

Miles promptly explained, and as the man turned to leave, Miles raised an eyebrow and smiled, addressing his departing back.

"Third Brother, Little Zinnia is quite clever. I’ll send you the video later, for free."

Police Station.

Zinnia cooperated with the police to make a statent. As it happened, the person she rescued turned out to be Nathan Nash’s cousin, Fiona Nash.

Once Fiona Nash was at the police station, she completely fell unconscious. It’s unclear if she was drugged by the two n, but the police had just taken a blood test.

After Zinnia finished her statent, Nathan, who was supporting Fiona, said hurriedly, "Miss, thank you so much today. If it weren’t for you, my cousin would have been in big trouble. I didn’t even know she snuck off to Veridia."

The woman leaned against Nathan, her disheveled hair being brushed aside, and Zinnia could finally see her face clearly.

She seed about twenty-four or twenty-five, with sowhat heavy makeup but quite attractive, no wonder she caught the attention of those preying on vulnerable individuals.

She waved a hand towards Nathan with a smile, "It’s the least I could do, how is she?"

"Don’t worry about her, she needs to learn a lesson. Miss, wait here, I’ll find soone to give you a ride."

Seeing Zinnia looking tired, Nathan was about to make a call.

He still had to wait for the police examination results and couldn’t leave yet.

Zinnia hurriedly said, "No need, I’ll just get a cab myself. You take care of her."

As she was about to turn to leave, she saw a tall and imposing man in a mid-length gray trench coat and a British-striped suit approaching from a distance.

Walking against the light, the halo ford a circle around his face making it sowhat indistinct, but his presence was powerful, noble, and composed.

Zinnia’s heart skipped a beat, feeling a bit panicked, but as the man got closer, his features beca clear.

He was quite handso, with deep, striking features, but not overly sharp—an understated attractiveness, and it wasn’t Jenson Forrest.

Zinnia let out a sigh of relief and was about to withdraw her gaze and leave when she heard Nathan call out.

"Brother, you’re here."

It turned out to be the cousin Nathan had ntioned earlier, coming to pick them up and handle the matter.

Zinnia didn’t linger and quickly left with her head down.

"Brother, it was the miss who saved our big sister. Miss, she... huh, she was just standing there, where did she go?" Nathan looked toward where Zinnia had been standing.

Tristan had also noticed the woman there earlier; he turned to look in the direction of the corridor.

He only saw the slender, graceful figure of a woman walking away into the distance.

Zinnia exited the police station, looking down as she opened a rideshare app when a car horn suddenly blared.

Zinnia instinctively looked up and saw a familiar black Maybach parked just a few steps away.

The rear window was half-lowered, and the man’s cold and stern profile was cast in shadows against the dark night, looking even more austere.

A palpable pressure emanated towards Zinnia from a distance.

Zinnia felt an inexplicable sense of guilt and fear—perhaps a lingering effect from being raised by him from a young age.

She walked over slowly, opened the car door, and got in.

"Why are you here?" she asked proactively, recalling that he was still injured. Having him leave the hospital like this made her sowhat worried.

Jenson then suddenly turned his head to face her, his gaze icy and lips taut.

"This is your idea of feeling unwell?"

He was very angry!

Zinnia was stung by his sharp questioning glance, her nose tingled with redness. She was just about to ntion that she had been to the hospital, when Jenson suddenly raised his hand to grip her chin, speaking with cold mockery.

"Feigning illness to sneak out and fool around, Zinnia, is this how you act as Mrs. Forrest when I’m not in the country?"

Fooling around?

She was rely doing legitimate work, celebrating successes with colleagues and sharing accolades. How did it turn into sothing so ugly coming from his mouth?

Did he really see her as such a cheap, undignified, and unself-respecting woman, thus unworthy of him defending her and upholding her dignity?

Zinnia turned her head, trying to shake off the man’s grip.

"I just ca from the police station where I was acting heroically, not being detained for a scandalous behavior, I..."

She was going to avoid ntioning this matter, hoping Jenson’s temper would subside. But recalling the video Miles sent earlier where Zinnia almost got taken away by those two n, it reignited his anger, making him want to just restrain her and keep her confined.

He interrupted her coldly, "You’re pregnant, running off to such chaotic places. Not only do you not reflect on your actions, but you also think you have every reason to behave this way? Should I also award you a banner for being an exemplary citizen who acts bravely for a just cause?"

Zinnia’s chin ached under his grip. She was already so tired and didn’t want to continue arguing with him. She simply responded indifferently.

"Do as you please, I don’t mind."

She pried Jenson’s hand away, leaned her head against the backrest of the seat, and closed her eyes.
