Jenson Forrest’s gaze was like ice. It was only when Miles Chase coughed that Jenson regained his composure.

"Who did President Forrest tick off to deserve a prank like this? Whoever it was has so serious guts."

The others reacted as well.

That was true. With Jenson Forrest’s status, if he really had that kind of problem, he would have secretly assembled a team of experts for treatnt long ago. Why would he need this online rabble of charlatans offering their services?

Thank goodness it was just a prank. Otherwise, wouldn’t we all be silenced for good?

"This is too much!"

"President Forrest should thoroughly investigate the culprit behind this."

Everyone chid in. Jenson Forrest’s phone was still ringing. His expression was grim as he cut the screen projection and silenced his phone before saying in a deep voice, "Continue."

As soon as the eting ended and they were back in the office, Miles Chase couldn’t hold it in any longer. He collapsed onto the sofa, clutching his stomach in laughter.

"Jenson, was that Zinnia’s handiwork? Haha, I haven’t seen her in years, and she’s still just as fun."

He rembered back in high school when Jenson sohow offended Zinnia Lawrence. The girl had secretly given him a full manicure in the middle of the night, using the kind with so many layers of gel that it was impossible to scrape off.

The kicker was that Jenson had an inter-school basketball ga the next day, and he had to make slam dunks with those sparkly nails.

Even now, the thought of that scene made Miles Chase laugh until his stomach hurt. He even had photos saved on his computer; it was truly a dark spot in Jenson’s life.

In this world, the only one daring enough to prank Jenson Forrest like this was, without a doubt, Zinnia Lawrence.

Jenson’s face turned cold. "There are two incorrect details in the project proposal. Revise it."

Miles imdiately straightened up. "Fine, fine, I won’t say another word. By the way, I haven’t seen Zinnia in two or three years. When are you going to ask her out to hang with us? You can’t keep her hidden forever, you know. Don’t be too possessive, President Forrest."

Jenson configured a block on his phone, and the incessant stream of harassing calls and friend requests finally stopped.

He tossed the phone aside and rubbed his temples. Just as he was about to order Miles out, the office door opened, and Timothy Cohen walked in with a package.

"President, a local delivery just arrived. It’s from your wife."

Jenson frowned, his gaze falling on the package, his eyes heavy with frustration.

Miles, however, grew excited and took the package.

"What’s this? You and your wife are so romantic you’re exchanging love letters while living under the sa roof?"

Jenson leaned forward and snatched the package away, his voice deep.

"Got too much ti on your hands?"

Miles shrugged. "Tch, look at you, treating it like a treasure."

However, he could see Jenson was genuinely in a bad mood, so he wisely excused himself. Once outside, he slung an arm around Timothy Cohen’s shoulder.

"What’s the situation with your president and his young wife?"

Timothy had a good guess as to what Zinnia Lawrence had sent, but he didn’t have the guts to say it. He just chuckled awkwardly and scurried away.

Inside the office, Jenson tore open the courier envelope. THUD. The first thing to fall out was the wedding ring.

The wedding ring, worth over thirty million, was sothing she once cherished. Now, she had tossed it into a courier envelope like garbage, right alongside the divorce agreent.

Jenson clenched the ring, the corner of his eye twitching.

「Dream Dance Agency」

Zinnia Lawrence had classes all morning. Instead of leaving at noon, she stayed in the dance studio, pulled up a piece she had recently composed, and began choreographing a new dance.

That afternoon, just as she was about to head to class, the manager stopped her. He told her the agency had just received a notice that they would no longer be employing part-ti teachers. Zinnia was fired.

Despite Zinnia’s desperate pleas, the manager just kept shaking his head.

Leaving the agency, Zinnia angrily pulled out her phone and dialed Jenson Forrest.

She had been working part-ti here for a year. Her morning class went fine, so how could she be fired by the afternoon? There had to be sothing fishy going on. She never imagined that Jenson Forrest would punish and make things difficult for her just because she had an argunt with Crystal Sutton.

The phone rang and rang. Just as Zinnia thought Jenson wouldn’t answer, the call connected.

The man on the other end seed to know why she was calling. He said nothing, his composure as solid as a statue.

Zinnia’s breathing grew heavy, and she was practically trembling with rage.

"Jenson Forrest, did you have Dream Dance Agency fire just because I slapped Crystal Sutton?"

On the other end, the man’s voice remained low and steady.

"The baby in Crystal’s womb is very important; we can’t allow anything to happen to it. I admit I was impulsive today and blad you without knowing the full situation, but..."

Zinnia froze, her vision blurring.

He said Crystal’s baby was important... How ridiculous. So it wasn’t that he didn’t want children, he just refused to have them with her, his own wife. Before hearing him say that, she hadn’t even wanted to believe Jenson would cheat on her and be so cruel. But now, the truth was staring her right in the face.

Her breath caught in her throat, and she interrupted him with a pained roar, "Jenson Forrest, how can you be such a bastard!"

On the other end, the man’s breathing paused for a mont before his voice turned cold.

"Zinnia Lawrence, that’s enough. You’ve had your fun, now go ho. I told you before, being a dance teacher doesn’t suit you!"

When Crystal Sutton arrived at the age of six, she took everything from Zinnia. It was a cruel twist of fate, and Zinnia could bla no one.

Now, Crystal was back to take everything again, and Zinnia sadly realized she was still as powerless as she was as a child.

The Forrest family had never been her ho.

Even her two years with Jenson were rely a fluke—two years she had stolen.

She let out a bleak laugh. "Go ho? Do I even have a ho?"

"Fine! It seems I’ve spoiled you too much, which is why you’ve beco so audacious!"

Hearing the anger simring in his voice, Zinnia felt utterly exhausted.

"Spoiled ? Crystal Sutton is pregnant, so where does that leave ? Let’s get a divorce. You can get back together with her, and I’ll make way for your happy family of three. Everything will be back on track, and I won’t be holding you back anymore. Isn’t that for the best?"

Four years ago, the Forrest and Sutton families were discussing a marriage alliance, and Crystal Sutton’s pursuit of Jenson Forrest had been relentless.

Everyone had assud they were a couple, but then the scandal of Zinnia climbing into her "brother’s" bed brought everything to an abrupt halt.

A heartbroken Crystal Sutton went abroad and hadn’t returned in four years. Jenson had blad Zinnia for all four of those years.

Now, she was willing to step aside and return him to Crystal and their child. So why wouldn’t Jenson just let her go?

The man’s mocking laugh ca through the phone. "Mrs. Forrest is so generous and kind! If you knew you were holding back, you shouldn’t have done what you did four years ago!"

Zinnia swayed. "I regret it! I told you I regret it!"

"Regret? That depends on whether I forgive you. If I don’t, your regret is worthless! Now, you will go straight ho. I want to see you at Sovereign Court tonight!"

The call ended.

Zinnia clutched her phone, her knuckles turning white as if she wanted to snap it in half.

She wouldn’t go back. If Jenson was going to block one path for her, she would simply find another.

However, Zinnia was rejected by every dance agency she visited. She also tried two opera and ballet companies, but that, of course, led to nothing.

As darkness fell, blood began to seep from the injury on her foot again. She sat on the roadside, famished, thirsty, and exhausted.

Suddenly, the light before her dimd. She looked up.

Under a tree, a familiar Bentley had slowly pulled to a stop. Timothy Cohen got out and opened the rear door.

In the backseat, a man in a three-piece custom suit sat with his legs crossed, his posture relaxed. His handso and noble air was a perfect match for the luxurious car.

A large cake box sat beside him, and a red velvet jewelry box rested on his lap.

The man’s long, elegant fingers tapped lightly on the velvet box as he waited leisurely for Zinnia to get into the car.

Was Jenson Forrest trying to belatedly celebrate her birthday and give her a gift? Was this compensation for getting Crystal Sutton pregnant? But the cake and the gift only served as a reminder: when he should have been by her side, he had been with Crystal instead. Before, a single look from him would have sent her running to him, happily forgiving everything. But now, she no longer wanted to be anyone’s second choice.

Zinnia slowly stood up. She turned and began walking down the long street.

Her injured foot made her gait clumsy, but her silhouette was resolute and unyielding as she walked away without a single look back.

In the car, a rare flicker of surprise crossed Jenson’s deep eyes, which then turned to ice.

He stared at the woman’s slender departing figure, his hand suddenly tightening around the velvet box on his lap.
