Chapter 42: Chapter FOURTY-TWO:It Takes Only A Monster To Make A Monster!
"Mother"Nathan called when he noticed his mom standing by the window side of her room, she didn’t co down for dinner and this made him worried.
The dinner downstairs with the family was boring as his aunt and grandpa were chattering nonstop about Zaiden’s engagent party next tomorrow.
Surprisingly,His cousin brother Zaiden was not part of the dinner. The chief head of staff had told his mom that he hadn’t co back yet.
Nathan was not worried about the company because knew what he was doing,laying low for now,observing the duo until he got the chance to strike.
Not that he was regretting being the second son but the way grandpa and his favourite family were looking down on his mom and father made him have the zeal to make a change.
He couldn’t bear to see his mother hurt,he knew his mom had always wanted him to be the successor but as long as his brother Zaiden was here that was going to be hard to achieve.
He too did not understand his brother at all,after he was disapproving of his marriage towards that girl but after these few conversations he had with him about her,he figured out he has a thing for the girl.
He was not interested in her,never will he be,she was the first girl that ever had the guts to insult his mother in front of the family.
She was going to pay for doing that,but as of now,he needed to calm and observe till the right ti approaches.
There had always been partial treatnt in the family since he was young. That’s why he was sent away to study because when they were little his grandpa had said that he was too toxic for his favourite grandson.
He could rember vividly that day,the day that made him hate his brother. They were playing around the pool and he had mistakenly pushed Zaiden into the pool that he nearly drowned.
That was the first ti he saw his grandpa’s anger,had it been that his mother was not present there to protect him from him,the old man would have beaten the hell out of him.
His brother was rushed to the hospital and had to be admitted for a week. That week in the family was so hectic for him,he hardly left his room because his grandpa didn’t want to see him, his father’s own treatnt of him was the worst.
He locked him up in his room for a week and didn’t feed him food for two days. His mother was the one who went against his order on the third day and lifted the ban on his head so as not to leave his room.
That made him question his very existence till today,sotis he wondered if he was the real son of the family because the preferential treatnt here was obvious that even the maids knew about it.
Zaiden would always be their perfect son while he would always be a substitute for him.
Well,that is going to change because he’s back to doing what he has always wanted to do if he got the chance.
Grandpa didn’t know what was coming his way when he introduced him to the company,he would make them pay for looking down on him.
He promised.
"Nathan is that you?"Sophia called and turned to engulf him in a hug trying to hide her teary face away from him.
When Nathan suspected sothing was wrong and when he heard her sniffing,he pulled away from the hug to notice her.
"What’s wrong?"He asked, feeling his heart ache after seeing the tears on her face. She was the only person who had been there for him.
"Nothing just tears of joy,I heard you are now starting work on Monday at the company"
"Was that why you were crying? mom you are so dramatic"Nathan said amused,his mother was such a drama queen,he couldn’t believe this was why she was crying.
He helped her sit on her bed and sat beside her holding her hand in his while facing her,he wiped her tears away smiling at her.
"Don’t cry,you know it hurts seeing you cry"He grinned.
"Do you know how long I’ve waited for this?I can’t lift my face in front of other won because of Avery,but now you’ve made
proud,"she uttered.
"Mom stop it"
"Listen son"She said cupping his face to look into his face"Zaiden getting married doesn’t an that you won’t be able to fight for what is yours,nothing has changed Nathan"
"Sophia ’’Elijah called entering into the room cutting their conversation,he walked up to the duo and pecked his wife on the lips while his son stood up trying to give them privacy.
"Finally he’s in"Elijah said smiling proudly at his son,he went over patting him on his shoulder"make
proud Nathan"He declared but Nathan knew the real aning behind what he said.
"I will dad,"he assured him, smirking.
"Here,let’s toast to a new beginning"Sophia suggested walking out of her room to co back after a few seconds, holding a drink with three glass cups.
"Here"she handed Elijah’s his own share of the drink and the other to her son.
"To a new beginning"She was the first to raise that glass up before the duo joined her drinking to a new start in their life.
"I will be back"Sophia exited the room leaving the two to Converse,Elijah knew that she left to do nothing she just wanted the two of them to talk because they haven’t been on good talking terms lately which she noticed.
"Father.."Nathan was the first to break the silence between them.
