Darkness is the primary substance that counters Devil Fruit abilities. Imu knew Roy's demonic power ca from a demon residing within a fruit. The best ans of countering it was the dark matter akin to the Dark Dark Fruit, which could suppress fruit abilities.

But the mont she saw the sa darkness appear in Roy's hand, she realized her plan had failed.

A wielder who could command dark matter would never be bound by it.

Both of them hurled darkness at each other.

BOOM!

The air detonated, the earth trembled, as if the entire world was struck by an earthquake.

Everyone else present stared dumbfounded at the duel between these two monsters: one a woman with horns cloaked in pitch-black, the other a three-faced, fanged creature resembling a vengeful spirit.

It overturned their understanding of reality, a world utterly unlike what they had imagined.

"Such a battle... it's like prehistoric monsters," Sanji said, steadying himself and looking up at the two figures above, taking a deep breath.

"This might have been how the battles were before the dawn of civilizations. Long before the current era, the giant race erged. As the environnt changed, humans adapted and began to thrive. What we're seeing could be echoes of our blue planet's distant past."

"Ancient battles were fought like this? Are you joking, Robin?" Nami couldn't even stand steady, hugging Chopper nearby as they tumbled together.

"Before these monsters, humans seem so insignificant. Yet, for humans to have won is truly a miracle," Benn Beckman said.

"Human victory wasn't a miracle, but the result of technological advancent," Robin said.

"Technological advancent?"

"Yes. Four thousand years ago, humans had already begun developing civilization. If we trace back to prehistoric humans, it must be even more ancient. The disappearance of the ancient giants was due to resource and reproduction difficulties. Humans were better able to adapt to the world."

"Most importantly, the appearance of the moonfolk brought new technological power, but also brought war to the world," Robin explained.

"Stop talking about all that! What do we do now? The fight between these two monsters is too insane. We need to escape here first!" Usopp covered his head and shouted.

The other two heads on Roy's body opened their eyes, and two more arms grew out.

"Three heads and six arms?"

"Imu-sama!!"

The guards exclaid. One of them transford into a monster resembling a vengeful spirit and charged at Roy.

"A Yokai."

Roy looked down. This was a very rare Devil Fruit, the Yokai-Yokai Fruit. The Yokai-Yokai Fruit primarily manifests various vengeful yokai, with wildly different abilities.

So are exceptionally powerful, while others can only be used to scare people.

The person before him took the form of a Yaksha, very ugly, with a blue face and fangs, sowhat similar to Roy's current appearance.

One of Roy's heads looked at him, eyes narrowing. A blood-red flash passed through his eyes. Instantly, the Celestial Dragon guard's body began to stiffen.

"What's happening to ... Why can't I move..."

"Eye of the Reaper."

Conqueror's Haki condensed into a line and, through his eyes, blasted into the guard's ntal world.

In an instant, the Celestial Dragon guard's head exploded, blood raining down from the sky.

Imu's tail transford into a sharp arrow and stabbed towards Roy, piercing straight through his abdon.

One of Roy's hands grabbed hold of this tail, pulling with imnse force, dragging Imu's massive body. The next mont, a fist swung into her.

BOOM!

In many people's impressions, giants move slowly. But these two were extrely fast, visibly fast to the naked eye. Their massive bodies were not sluggish in the slightest; on the contrary, they were very agile.

In just an instant, Imu took a heavy punch.

Roy grabbed her tail again, preparing to pull her closer.

"Insolent!"

The Figarland guard captain, seeing this, shot into the sky, gripping his executioner's blade with both hands.

Infused with Conqueror's Haki, he slashed at the arm Roy was using to hold Imu's tail.

Rip!

Roy's arm was severed by him, falling down like a tree in a storm.

Before he could rejoice, he saw the sky darken. A giant hand descended from above, slamming him hard into the ground.

Pfft!

Blood sprayed from his mouth. A single blow had severely injured him, leaving him unable to rise, despite possessing Emperor-level strength.

The Elders, five of them surrounding and attacking Roy alone, had been killed by him. What chance did one man have?

Yet ants still had their uses. He bought ti for Imu. She seized the mont, stood, and drove her barbed fingers into Roy's chest, punching straight through and out his back.

Witnessing this, everyone was stunned. The Figarland family mber, however, smiled. Even if he was injured now, as long as Roy, the threat to Imu, was killed, everything would be over.

"Don't let them go! Kill him! Especially the Straw Hat boy!" He struggled to stand. Soone ca to support him, but he pushed them away forcefully, looking up at the others as he spoke.

"Yes, sir"

The other guard mbers who received his order imdiately charged towards Luffy.

The threats to Imu were Roy and Luffy. Currently, Luffy had no combat power and needed food to replenish energy.

This was the best ti to kill him. If not now, then when?

"You shall not pass!"

Just as they prepared to act, a group of people blocked their path.

"Shanks." The guard captain glared at him angrily. "You carry the blood of the Figarland family! You should be proud of your lineage!"

"I grew up at sea. Family nas an nothing to ," Shanks said coldly. "I know this world better than you. I will follow my own will"

"So you would stand in our way?!"

"Yes. For the new era, we must block so storms," Shanks said with a smile.

"Kill them all!!"

Seeing that words were useless, the order was given directly.

No rcy!

The guards' goal was singular: kill Luffy, eliminate all threats to Imu.

Above them, Roy's chest was pierced by Imu's grasp, and one of his heads lost its luster.

"You can kill , and I can kill you. We are the sa," Imu said faintly.

"I understand. So, how many lives do you have?" Roy's other two heads spoke. One of them opened its mouth and spewed forth the sa black fire as before.

"Hellfire, huh? I have it too!"

Imu also opened her mouth, and black fire spewed from it.

The dark flas were utterly terrifying. Those fighting below who couldn't avoid it were instantly burned to the bones.

Red-Hair saw his comrades fall and, furious, hurled a guard straight into the flas.

This was the final battle. Death was inevitable.
