Just as Wang Zhi stepped out of Skull Castle, an explosion rocked the coastline.
"Lord Wang Zhi! It's bad, the Heart Pirates' Trafalgar Law was hiding on the Rocky Port! He just launched a surprise attack!" A group of n rushed over in panic.
"Him again? He's caused us trouble more than once. This ti, we can't let him escape."
The mont Wang Zhi heard Law's na, all thoughts of the billion berries vanished. Right now, killing Law was his only priority.
The Worst Generation, who had entered the New World months ago, were making waves, each with their own ambitions. Law, in particular, had set his sights on Wang Zhi, and he'd caused him trouble on several occasions.
Now, the audacious upstart was attacking his territory? This was the perfect chance to end him for good.
Wang Zhi imdiately rallied his n and charged toward the docks.
anwhile, Law stood on the port, locked in combat. His real target wasn't Wang Zhi, it was disrupting the trade between the Donquixote Family and the old pirate.
On the surface, it looked like Law was gunning for Wang Zhi, but in truth, Doflamingo was the one he was after.
"Captain, we got what we needed!" Bepo reported
"Then let's go," Law said.
"Yes!"
"You're not getting away!"
Wang Zhi lunged forward, swinging his massive greatsword in a devastating slash that carved a hundred-ter-long trench into the ground, cutting off their retreat.
"Wang Zhi!" Law's expression tightened.
"Surrender… or die." Wang Zhi said coldly as he closed in.
"No way I'm bowing to soone like you," Law said, raising his hand and casting a hemispherical transparent do around them.
"ROOM!"
"Hmph."
Wang Zhi snorted and charged straight in.
"DIE!"
"Shambles!"
Wang Zhi's blade slashed through the air only for Law to vanish, replaced by one of Wang Zhi's own n. The attack couldn't be stopped. The subordinate was cut in two instantly.
"BOSS, IT'S !!!" The man scread in horror, still alive despite being split in half.
"Cheap tricks."
Wang Zhi instantly sensed Law's presence, twisting his body and swinging his sword in a sweeping arc.
"Circular Slash!"
"Takt!" Law used his ability again to try and block, but what happened next shocked him.
Pop!
His ROOM field burst like a bubble under Wang Zhi's strike, it was shattered.
"Haki transcends Devil Fruit powers." Wang Zhi sneered as he dispelled Law's ROOM. With one hand, he raised his greatsword and pointed it at Law.
"Linear Thrust!"
Like Big Mom's Elbaf Spear, a cylindrical slash shot straight at Law. With his ROOM broken, Law had no choice but to take the hit head-on.
"Tch. A rookie like you dares challenge ? Pity, your Devil Fruit is valuable, but your head is worthless."
Wang Zhi raised his blade to finish him off with a decapitating blow.
At that mont, Law's heart was pounding like thunder. He realized he'd severely underestimated Wang Zhi's strength.
"CAPTAIN!!!" Bepo and the others tried to rush forward, but Wang Zhi's n blocked them.
"Die, Trafalgar Law!"
Just as the greatsword was about to strike, a bullet flew in, followed by a massive boulder falling from the sky, smashing into Wang Zhi's position.
"What the…?"
Wang Zhi's eyes widened, the boulder morphed into a giant hand and grabbed him.
"That Marine guy? No, this isn't Earth manipulation. This is… the Float-Float Fruit?!"
As a forr comrade of Shiki, Wang Zhi had fought the Golden Lion countless tis. He knew that ability all too well.
"Zehahahaha! Familiar, isn't it?"
Suddenly, a ship ca crashing down from the sky, packed with hundreds of people.
"That's…"
"The Blackbeard Pirates!"
"Hachinosu belongs to now!" Teach declared triumphantly.
"Blackbeard!"
Wang Zhi never expected the man who had recently attacked the Whitebeard Pirates to co after him.
"Get lost!"
Breaking free from the giant hand, Wang Zhi slashed at Blackbeard and his crew.
"Severing Line: Grand Chasm!"
Shiryu leaped off the ship, drawing his cursed sword to intercept.
Clang!
The powerful slash was stopped as Shiryu pushed down with all his strength to cancel it out.
"Rockfall!"
Teach opened his arms and summoned a barrage of boulders from the sky, forcing Wang Zhi to retreat under pressure.
Blackbeard and his crew landed successfully. Though Wang Zhi's n surged forward in defense, this was still his turf, with thousands of subordinates ready to fight.
"Black Hole!"
Teach slamd his palm on the ground, and darkness spread, swallowing everything in its path, people, buildings, all of it.
Wang Zhi's eyes narrowed. Both the Dark-Dark Fruit and the Float-Float Fruit had belonged to his forr comrades. He knew these powers too well.
"Linear Thrust!"
Without hesitation, Wang Zhi thrust his sword straight at Blackbeard.
But Shiryu intercepted again; he underestimated the old pirate. Though old, Wang Zhi's Conqueror's Haki hadn't dulled one bit, not sothing Shiryu, fresh from Impel Down, could handle.
He may have been the forr head jailer, but he wasn't on Magellan's level.
A Conqueror's Haki-infused slash sent Shiryu flying, and Teach was also caught in its range.
"Guh!"
"Damn it!" Teach groaned, eyes wide as he stared at Wang Zhi.
Clad in golden armor, the old pirate looked like an ancient emperor, his ponytail whipping in the wind.
The New World had the Four Emperors, but they weren't the only monsters here.
Wang Zhi was terrifyingly powerful in his own right.
"Every damn rookie thinks they can challenge ?! You think I'm weak?! Then DIE!"
Thanks to his counterattack, Wang Zhi's n broke free from the shadows. His officers were no pushovers; so were nearing the level of the Whitebeard Pirates division commanders.
This was his domain. He wasn't an Emperor, but he was no small fry either. Surviving in the New World for over fifty years wasn't luck; it was strength.
Every forr officer of the Rocks Pirates was a monster. And every one of them possessed Conqueror's Haki.
"Tch. Tough bastard!" Blackbeard growled as he joined the fight against Wang Zhi. Around them, chaos broke out as everyone clashed fiercely.
The commotion was impossible to miss. Roy, still accompanied by Kuha, Wang Zhi's subordinate, raised an eyebrow.
"Mr. Roy, our captain Wang Zhi is in trouble. I have to go help him!" Kuha said.
"Go ahead. Seriously… I didn't expect this. What a lucky surprise, Teach showed up. He's not leaving alive this ti."
Roy grinned. This was an unexpected opportunity.
"Wait a minute… Could this be the Rocky Port Incident?"
Roy rubbed his chin thoughtfully. There was no Rocky Port on Hachinosu; now he understood. Rocky Port was the na of the ship, not a location.
If he rembered correctly, Koby would appear here too and beco a Marine Hero.
"Gotta kill that guy first. Damn it, now I have to haul this money back!"
