Aegon didn’t like seeing Marvin and his family leaving, but there was nothing he could do. He could also understand Samuel. As the Emperor, he preferred to deal with this matter in the Imperial Court.

After all, the Songsword Family was also prominent in the Empire. Their sudden eradication would shake the Empire, especially if Samuel didn’t take any action.

’So much politics.’

Samuel was just looking out for his Empire, so Aegon could understand his decision. Still, he was sure Samuel wouldn’t punish them since they were the victims here.

"Gon, will this be fine?" Elara asked in worry. "I an, won’t Aunt be implicated in this too?"

"They ca to attack us, so we just defended," Aegon whispered. "As for what happened before, do you think Xiu left behind any evidence?"

Elara smiled in relief, "Definitely not."

One by one, everyone from the Songsword Family left. Samuel glanced at the rcenaries and felt a headache coming already. This was going to be a troubleso matter.

As the noble houses couldn’t make personal armies, rcenary groups were very important in many matters involving their issues and for others like rchant organisations.

Marvin had hired the best of the best rcenary groups, spending a great fortune, to deal with Xiu. Clearly, he didn’t underestimate her even though he said otherwise.

Samuel knew the Augustus family too well to know that these groups weren’t going to be forgiven and allowed to live their lives normally again.

They had actually tried to kill the Young Master of the Augustus Family. It was as good as signing a death certificate.

But their disappearance would certainly cause many problems in the Empire. Samuel sighed, thinking about how he would have to deal with that too.

As for these rcenary groups, he considered them dead already. He didn’t even want to save them after what they did.

He ran a hand through his golden hair and turned towards Aegon, "What will happen with them?"

Now that was a question Aegon had no answer for, so he just shrugged, "I have more things to do today, so I’ll decide later."

He glanced to his right where Hecte had already replaced Miguel and said, "Do we have a prison or anything where we can keep them?"

"I can keep them in the shadow realm," Hecte suggested.

"To do what? Traumatize them for life?" Seeing her looking away, he rolled his eyes. "Keep them sowhere safe. They’ll be useful to ."

"As you command, Boss!"

With that, shadows rose around the mansion and claid everyone in the rcenary groups. Soon, they disappeared along with the rest of the Red Viel.

"Miguel will watch over them along with the others," Hecte inford him.

Aegon smiled at her and then raised his head, "Let’s head inside. I don’t think this is a good place to talk."

Samuel looked around at the devastation caused by their battles and massaged his temple, "Yes, inside is better. At least I won’t be reminded of this."

Aegon chuckled and whispered to Elara, "He’s just annoyed that he needs to restore everything."

Elara giggled softly before asking, "Nature-based Mages are rare here?"

An idea ford in Aegon’s head on hearing her, and he turned towards Samuel, who had co down by then, and said, "I got sothing."

"Inside," Samuel waved his hand.

The barrier around the mansion shimred away as Kai stood on the main gate. Looking at Samuel, Kai bowed, "Greetings, Your Majesty!"

Only then did the others rember that they hadn’t greeted Samuel. It made the atmosphere awkward as everyone looked at each other, wondering if they should do it now.

Except Xiu, who just kept glaring at Samuel.

"Oh, co on!" Samuel rolled his eyes. "It’s just us now, so don’t be so formal. I already get this a lot in the palace. I thought I’d relax today, but clearly you wouldn’t let ."

The awkward atmosphere disappeared in an instant at his words, as everyone smiled and entered the mansion. They silently enjoyed the scenery which helped them calm down and relax.

After apologizing to Cali and Elara, Aegon quickly skipped over to Xiu and said, "Stop being so gloomy."

Xiu continued walking and replied, "If only he was a minute later, I would have killed that old fool."

"Now, now, we can deal with him later," Aegon held her hand and squeezed it. "It’s my big day, and I won’t feel happy knowing that you’re in a bad mood."

Xiu looked at him and then sighed, "Little Sun, can’t I even be angry?"

"Not today!" Aegon smiled.

Xiu laughed at that and swung her arm around his waist, leaning against his shoulder, "Damn it! You’ve grown so big now. I feel small now that I can’t hug you from the shoulders."

"I’ll lower myself."

Xiu slapped his back and smiled, "Silly boy!"

They soon reached the backyard where each of them took seats and spent a few minutes just relaxing. They certainly needed to calm their nerves.

Aegon left Xiu with Liliana since it seed like they needed each other and went to sit with Cali and Elara. Cali wanted to leave the two lovebirds, but the two of them pulled her down.

"Just because we’re a couple now doesn’t an our friendship is gone," Elara said. "Just sit with us."

"If you say so," Cali grinned. "You missed a great battle, though. You should have seen the kinds of things Aunt can do. She basically split the sky apart."

"Really?" Elara was surprised.

Aegon leaned back as the girls talked. He liked the current atmosphere. So calm and relaxed. Everyone was happy with great smiles on their faces.

’There are many faces missing though.’

That would have to wait.

"What were you saying earlier?" Samuel asked finally.

Aegon’s eyes brightened up as he said, "You’re worried about the restoration cost, right?"

"Yes. You don’t even realise how much they destroyed," Samuel grunted in agreent, as he pointed at Liliana. "That woman destroyed the whole Lazarus Wilderness. Tell , how much will it take to recover it?"

Aegon’s eyes widened in disbelief on hearing that. He knew that the damage they did was devastating but not to such a degree.

Lazarus Wilderness was pretty well known in the Empire and spanned more than eight hundred kilotres.
