Soon after they returned to their room, Aegon felt all gazes on him, filled with confusion and inquiry. After all, they knew Aegon was a demon. He told them before. So how did he get away from it?
"Little Gon, what tricks did you play this ti?" Cali asked, still confused.
"Quite simple ones!" Aegon shrugged, taking his seat back on the chair. "Told you all I’m a RuneMaster."
"You’re saying you actually ssed with the Rune Formation of the Supre Artefact? You didn’t even have ti for that," Xavier protested.
"No, but he had plenty of ti to ss around with the identity stone," Elara said, shaking her head.
"Exactly!" Aegon smiled at her and explained. "Every identity stone has multiple Rune Formations engraved on it. Very minuscule actually. It’s a work of art. They hold all your information including your essence and also whether you’re a human or a demon."
"That’s how the Supre Artefact detects the truth. It just checks that particular Rune Formation," Elara quickly ca to the conclusion. "But I doubt it’s easy to ss with an identity stone’s Rune Formations."
"It isn’t, but I had plenty of ti," Aegon said, as everyone else also took their seats. "Last one year, I heavily focused on Rune Mastery, so I fiddled around with the identity stone in my free ti. A way of research, since my goal was to decode all Rune Formations in it."
"It’s incredible," Elara said, eyes shining in amazent. "But I shouldn’t be surprised, right?"
"Haha!" Aegon just laughed in response.
"It felt great to humiliate that bastard," Xavier said, grinning from ear to ear. "Did he really think we’d go down so easily?"
"I’m even more fired up to beat their asses now," Cali agreed, punching the air. "Even if his warrior is Rank 6, I’ll turn him to ashes."
"Prepare then! No need to hold back!" Aegon said, turning towards Elara. "Try not to keep all your secrets hidden. We need you. The real you."
"Don’t worry! I already have my best kit ready for this battle," Elara smiled and said. "It’s my personal kit, so there are no complications."
"Great! Now about the things we can do to prolong this match. And yes, you need to stretch this match. It’ll be tough to win otherwise."
Round Five was cancelled since one team forfeited and the other couldn’t even participate. That led to the Finals arriving early, so the break in between turned ever more feverish.
Aegon and his team mostly spent it relaxing or talking about so strategies for a single purpose of prolonging the battle and the potential ergence of sothing new.
Otherwise, they didn’t really have any concerns since their only strategy for this match was to go wild as much as possible. They didn’t exactly know what Aegon planned since he wanted it to be a surprise, but they trusted him enough to enter this battle without worries.
In fact, they felt even more pumped up after what Raphael did. If Aegon didn’t prepare in advance, they could have been eliminated without even a fight.
It ruined their mood just thinking about it, so they planned to go all out in their battle. It suited Aegon’s strategy just fine, so they were happier about it.
Before long, the tir began ticking above the screen as everyone stood up from their seats and got ready to enter the battlefield.
"Any last words?" Xavier asked. "You know, sothing to motivate us."
"Motivation for what?" Aegon laughed at that. "You need motivation for kicking so asses?"
"Aiyah! Why is my brother such a fuss?" Cali shook her head in disappointnt and then smacked his back, flashing a grin. "We’ll just bust everyone’s asses."
Aegon took out a pistol and gave it to Elara, saying, "You know how to use this?"
"Is this... uhh... fun?" Elara blinked in confusion.
"Gun! Yes, and you can use it in an ergency," Aegon nodded and said. "It’s a bit different from mine because it can fire once after reload. But that single shot can push many people away by creating an explosion."
"You know, Gon, I have many arrows for this," Elara giggled softly before taking the pistol. "But thanks for this. I’ll treasure it."
Aegon just smiled in response. It wasn’t like he didn’t know about her abilities. But he still felt she should have sothing from him for ergencies.
He felt a tug at his sleeves and turned his head, only to see Rosa pouting cutely, "What about ? I’m the weakest so I need even more protection."
"Quite the opposite. In the next match, I need your protection," Aegon chuckled and said.
"Huh?" Rosa blinked in confusion.
"I’ll be busy. Well, one of my hands, so I need so protection," Aegon said, before turning towards others. "So the damage area is for others."
"Consider it done."
Rosa jumped with a big smile on her face, then gave a thumbs up to Aegon and said, "I’ll protect my Future Hubby. Don’t you worry at all."
Aegon gave a side glance to the tir and said, "Well then, let’s win these Gas."
In the next second, he closed his eyes as he felt reality shifting once again. This ti, he focused inwardly, allowing his soul to interact with the strange force.
It felt strange. A wave of oppressive power filled his soul, as he frowned and resisted it. Surprisingly, it went away as quickly as it ca.
’What the hell is that thing?’
However, he wasn’t given enough ti to ponder over it as his surroundings stabilized once again.
Sighing in regret, he opened his eyes and raised his head. Beautiful snow petals drifted in the mild gusts of wind, landing on their faces.
Once again, the snow domain chose him. His gaze remained stuck on the Eight-Winged Dragon’s statue. Its terrifying eyes, as it roared towards the heavens, seed so familiar now.
’Were my ancestors alive in the God’s era? Did this Dragon have a fight with them?’ Aegon wondered, staring deeply at it past the barrier.
As far as he knew, dragons only had two wings, but Rovan told him that once dragons went past a certain power stage, they could increase the number of their wings, which also represented their strength.
’I will need to visit them soon.’
