"Aside from passive debuff and buffs of domains, you can also get active buffs by killing monsters. The ones found in our domain will die easily, but the neutral ones can kill you or other domain-snatch your kill."
Aegon explained, pointing at the diagonal in the map’s middle.
"The Knight and the Hydra. Both get summoned at certain ti intervals. First is Hydra, who cos three tis and is much easier to kill. It gives EXP, Shield, and Gold to the whole team. I’ll explain EXP in a bit. The Knight, on the other hand, turns into our minion for one turn if we kill it. It’ll march down the lanes to destroy the turrets and bases."
"One is good for early gas while the other is good for late gas?" Xavier said, nodding in understanding.
"Yup! And it’s the jungler who kills the monsters, including the Hydra at the start to give us a boost. So, Rosa, once you’re done leveling up after killing the monsters, you’ll kill the Hydra. For the Knight, it’s best that we are together."
"Understood!!" Rosa gave a salute.
Aegon rolled his eyes at her and continued.
"In the ga, we will have ten levels. They seal our power and as we level up, those seals get lifted off. Level One ans only 10% of our power. 20% for Level Two and so on. Until at Level Ten where you’re at your 100%."
"How does it decide those percentages?" Elara asked in confusion. "I can understand Knights to so extent, but Mages and Soul Cultivators?"
"No clue!" Aegon shrugged. "But it does. Also, it also restricts your skill usage to so extent. Every ti you use a skill, it enters in a cooldown state. The cooldown ti lessens with each level up."
"So, having a variety of skills helps. Versatility!" Elara concluded. "I guess spells are the sa then?"
"Yup!" Aegon nodded. "This is why leveling up is important, done through EXP. And you get EXP basically by killing anything. As for gold, it’s kinda la since it basically just gives a minor boost to your equipnt."
He clapped his hands and smiled, "And that’s it. We just get teleported to our bases and win the ga by any and all ans that don’t break the rules. Oh, of course, when I said kill, we don’t really die. But the respawn ti gets longer and longer as the match goes on."
"So if we die in later gas, there may co a ti where we’re all dead and enemies can conquer our base?" Cali muttered under her breath, but it was enough for everyone to hear it.
"Exactly the reason why this rule exists." Aegon said, then thought. ’It is quite a ss and not fair to begin with. But I guess that’s what a world like this does.’
"By the way, we won’t feel pain in death, right?" Xavier asked, raising his hand.
"Have so spine, little brother. It’s just dying," Cali grinned, slapping his shoulder but of course that made him grimace in pain. Her strength was no joke even when she held back.
"Sorry, but I don’t feel like dying."
"It’s fine. The pain is reduced to almost negligible." Aegon waved his hand and said. "In any case, everyone clear on rules?"
"Yes!"
"Noice!" Aegon grinned and said. "Now, others may think we’re at disadvantage, but I don’t think so. First, tell your current rank."
"I’ll go first!" Cali said, staring at her hand. "I’m on the brink of breaking through to Rank 6 but it’s very hard, so I’m stuck at Rank 5. But I can confidently say I can beat even Rank 6 Knights."
"Considering her Affinity, she’s a disaster at that Rank," Aegon shook his head and said. "Cali, we’ll depend on you for the Knights."

Shaking those thoughts off, he turned towards Xavier and asked, "What about you?"
"Rank 4 Healing Mage!" Xavier said with pride clear on his face. "I’ve also mastered many spells, so you can count on support from ."
"Good job, Xav. You didn’t slack at all, huh," Elara smiled, genuinely happy for him.
"Hehe!"
"Then I’ll go next!" Rosa said, taking out her long sheathed blade. "Rank 3 Knight and 2-Star Mage, but I can cast one Rank 3 Spell and also have 3-Star Mana Pool. As for my Affinity, I have two. First is Lightning and second is Gravity, but I have trouble with the second one so I can’t use it properly."
"Woah!" Cali and Xavier exclaid at the sa ti, while Elara didn’t have any reaction, as if she had already expected such.
"No wonder you’re Black Star!" Cali said, nodding in approval. "You’re strong. No, you’re crazy strong. Want to have a match later?"
"I prefer slitting throats of unaware enemies over fighting directly, so I’ll have to decline." Rosa backed away instantly. "Thanks for the offer, though."
"Tsk!"
"You improved a lot," Aegon praised her from the bottom of his heart. Although they spent ti together in training, rarely did they interact on personal level.
"Hehe! I have to match you, dear." Rosa giggled softly and said. "Still, even with all this, I’m sure I’m behind you."
"Yes, I feel it too," Elara couldn’t help but agree with her. "So, what’s your rank?"
"Three in everything!" Aegon shrugged, making them confused.
Seeing their looks, he sighed and said, "Rank 3 Knight. 3-Star Mage, proper one with 4-Star Mana Pool. Third Circle Soul Cultivator and Rank 3 RuneMaster."
"Wait! Wait! Wait! WHAT THE FUCK!?"
Xavier slipped from the wall he was standing against, falling on the ground as he cursed. "I must have heard wrongly, but what?"
"You heard correctly!" Cali said, grinning from ear to ear. "This monster has shown his true potential. Goddamn! I can’t wait for you to grow up!"
"Stop making it sus!" Aegon rolled his eyes. "And yes, thanks for such exaggerated reaction. I’ll humbly accept the fact that I’m way too aweso for you all."
"Aweso my ass!" Xavier cursed. "What even is that long list! Wait! What did you say at the end? RuneMaster? What were you doing in the last year?"
