"if Elara was here, then she would take the Marksman position."
On Luna’s remark, Aegon paused and then nodded in agreent. Elara was crazy strong as an Archer, but Elves couldn’t participate in the Supremacy Gas.
"Yes, sadly she can’t be here." Xavier sighed, glancing at Aegon. "As for Assassin, you an that girl from last year?"
"What girl?" Cali’s interest was instantly piqued.
"Tsk tsk! See how your eyes lit up." Aegon clicked his tongue and said. "And yes, I’m talking about Rosa. She’s also a Black Star, so we can make a new House. We won’t have to go through formalities."
One had to prove their team was worthy to enter the Supremacy Gas, but Houses had exceptions. They could sponsor one team directly, and if they wanted more, then the extra teams had to pass formalities.
"She’s still independent?"
Sohow, they found it hard to believe.
"Hehe, she’s madly in love with you, brother." Xavier said, a teasing smile forming on his lips. "Just give in already?"
"Wait! You’re telling a girl is in love with Little Gon and he’s still friends with her?" Cali was dumbfounded. "Oii! What happened to not giving girls false hope?"
"It’s complicated, so I can’t explain," Aegon felt a headache just thinking about explaining their relationship. "Just forget about it."
"How can we?" Luna smiled and asked, "So, what’s she like? Where is she from? Wait, if she’s a Black Star then she’s also very talented. She has potential to be our sister-in-law."
"But she’ll have to go through my screening," Cali quickly said. "My little brother is innocent in these affairs, so I’ll have to check her first. What if she’s scamming him?"
"Indeed! We’ll have to check her first." Luna instantly agreed. "I’m not letting her in without my approval."
"We’re getting off-topic," Aegon muttered as he rubbed his eyes. "Also, Cali, you never had a boyfriend. None of you have any relationship experience, so stop ddling. I’ll handle my relationships."
Cali and Luna smiled at each other and did a silent fist bump. Then Luna said, "Fine. We won’t say anything to you."
Aegon didn’t think much of her words and said, "Let’s et up with her first, and if she agrees, we’ll see what to do about our Marksman position."
"Yes, let’s et her first," Xavier smiled as well.
Rolling his eyes at their overexcited expressions, Aegon took out his communication stone and called Rosa. As always, it only took a second for her to pick up.
[The sky remains stuck in this city, but my Sun has just risen and called .]
Aegon had no reaction since he was already used to her nonsense, but his friends certainly had interesting reactions.
He ignored their gleeful faces and said, "Rosa, I have sothing to discuss. Can we et?"
[Are we finally doing it? Isn’t this too abrupt?]
He facepald while Cali burst out laughing beside him. He groaned.
"Rosa, it’s serious."
[Then, my future hubby, you should know I’m always available for you. Where do you want to et?]
Aegon would have preferred his dorm room, but that would spread rumors instantly, so he chose the park.
"Let’s et near the Lotus Palace. There’s a park."
[I’ll be there in a minute.]
When the call disconnected, he found two amused faces while the third continued to laugh.
"She’s funny," Luna comnted. "Knowing when to push and when to pull. She’s good at it."
"Let’s go!"
Aegon ignored everything.
...
On the Lotus Lake’s bank, a beautiful park was made for students to relax from all the stress. ntal health was just as important as any other aspect, after all.
Few disturbed the serenity here, especially since it was under the Lotus Palace’s control, so it beca a perfect relaxation place for students.
Especially since it created a perfect view of the five giant pillar-like fingers reaching up toward the twilight heavens.
When Aegon’s group reached there, they found Rosa relaxing on a bench. Her long crimson hair fluttered in the wind, highlighting her beautiful face even more.
Wearing a set of loose, comfortable black clothes, she looked absolutely gorgeous. The scenery around her acting as a background seed to blend perfectly to make her even more beautiful.
"She’s beautiful," Luna said, nodding in satisfaction. "A good choice in appearance at least."
"But she feels familiar. Have we t before?" Cali said, scratching her head.
"Nope! That’s the mystery I’m trying to solve," Aegon said. "She knows our secrets, as if she always lived among us, which is extrely suspicious."
"Huh? How is that possible?" Cali got confused. "Are you sure you want to be friends with such suspicious people? Just kidnap her and make her spit out the truth."
Aegon gave her a look before shaking his head. "Hecte and you will really get along well."
"It’s reasonable." Cali shrugged.
"Don’t worry. You can trust on this," Aegon said as he walked toward Rosa. "Sleeping?"
"Future hubby, give a life advice." Rosa asked, eyes still closed.
"Hmm!" Aegon thought for a second before replying. "Just because you don’t give up doesn’t an you’ll achieve it."
"Hahaha!" Rosa burst out laughing. "What a way to reject soone. You’re truly amazing."
She finally opened her eyes and turned toward the group, smiling mysteriously. "Is this our first official eting? Hello, everyone! I’m Rosaline, but you can call Rosa."
"I’m—"
"Xavier or Xav for short," Rosa finished for him and shifted her gaze toward the twins. "Lunara and Calista... or Luna and Cali for short. Can I call you that?"
"No!" Cali replied, narrowing her eyes. "What are you?"
"Oh my! I’m a human just like you," Rosa chuckled softly.
"No, you’re not." Cali said flatly. "So tell , what are you?"
"Are you implying I’m a demon in disguise?" Rosa asked, her voice turning cold.
"No! If you were a demon, you wouldn’t be sitting there in one piece currently," Cali shook her head and said, a tinge of confusion in her tone. "You’re weird, definitely not a normal human."
Aegon glanced at Rosa, noticing her discomfort, and said, "Cali, let’s deal with it later. We have important matters."
"Alright. I can’t explain my feelings anyway," Cali shrugged. "Also, I apologise, I didn’t an to accuse you of being a demon."
Being called a demon was perhaps the biggest insult in the Human Domain, so Cali didn’t want to start their relationship on that foot.
"It’s fine. I know you aren’t good with words," Rosa waved her hand and said.
All three paused, giving strange looks to Rosa. Their reaction was no different from Aegon, who was also confused at that ti.
"Rosa, we are participating in the Supremacy Gas and want you to be our Assassin," Aegon said sincerely. "Will you be our Assassin?"
"Future hubby, you’re really cute," Rosa smiled and said. "Why do you think I’ve chosen to be independent?"
Aegon paused, though he certainly had a guess.
"I’ve been waiting for you," Rosa grinned widely. "We’ll make a House together. Doesn’t this feel like we’re creating our own ho?"
Chuckling at her flirty humour, he said, "Thanks! Now we only have one last position vacant."
"Why don’t you call your other friend?" Rosa suggested. "Wasn’t she a great Archer?"
"I’m going to ignore how you know her for the ti being, but you do know it’s impossible," Xavier said. "The Elves wouldn’t send their daughter here."
"What if we just call the Elves here?" Rosa said.
Aegon’s eyes lit up as an idea ford in his head and made his heart leap in excitent. Was it because he could finally et Elara again?
He smiled and said, "It’s worth a try."
"Hello? We’re still confused," Cali said, raising her hand.
"There hasn’t been any war between Elves and humans for decades," Aegon explained. "They both have a common enemy and are certainly not interested in fighting each other. Their relationship is tense only because of the past and so low-level idiots who harm Elves."
"But what if an opportunity arose where they could nd that tense relationship?" Rosa smiled and said. "Aegon can work as the middle guy, bringing both sides together."
"Are you suggesting inviting the Royal Elf Family to the Supremacy Gas?" Luna asked.
"Not , but the Emperor," Aegon corrected her. "He’ll officially call them, so it’ll seem more practical and respectful."
"You have connections to the Emperor?" Xavier asked, dumbfounded.
"I’ll have to use everything I have," Aegon said. "But it’s a big matter, so let’s ask Opa first. If this really succeeds, a lot of things will change."
"All because you want to et her?" Rosa said, though Aegon noticed a tinge of jealousy in her voice.
’Huh!? That’s a first! She fought off everyone in the Academy and never got jealous, but El makes her jealous?’
Aegon noted that fact and contacted Arnold.
"Opa! I have a suggestion!"
