[Shura: What a scam. Look at that guilty face.]

[WinWinWin: Do you not feel ashad of doing what you did? Those were innocent people you deceived.]

[Bigcontrol: There is a limit to shafulness. Unfortunately, our strear doesn’t have any bottom line.]

And just like that, Cane was labelled as a shaless individual from his chat. Not that they were wrong.

Cane was a shaless individual who could go to any length as long as it served his purpose. He was not afraid to cause trouble either if needed to be.

"Please let us know if there is anything we can do to repay you for the favor of saving our lives."

The NPC asked as they grabbed his hand and pulled it up. Ai gave him a look that made Cane imdiately pull his hand back with a smile.

"Of course. I will tell you if there is anything you can help with. But until then, we shall take our leave now."

Cane told the forest elves as he and Ai ran away from them.

Cane just needed one more species in his list of friendly ones, and he would be able to start his own guild. But that was easier said than done.

He had to choose a species that was not sensitive toward magic or could not pick up magical signatures. Otherwise, his trick would be noticed.

[HaremKingXXX: Are you looking for a species that is bad at sensing magic? What about the chira rats? They are smart enough to feel gratitude if you feed them.]

The comnt was said in a degrading manner, but Cane could not help but find it reasonable.

"That... might actually work out. Thanks for the suggestion."

Cane told the chat, and people imdiately started posting doubtful ssages in the chat.

[HaremKingXXX: Tsk, I told him all this because I was being sarcastic. But has Cane lost his mind to find it actually useful?]

He asked, but there was no answer. Cane made his way to the pet shelter where abandoned creatures ended up being kept. It was a small place with not a lot of funds, so food was tight.

Cane bought a decent amount of food and decided to donate it. He knocked at the door of the shelter and an old woman opened the door.

She looked like she was on her last legs and would collapse any second. And yet, her voice was strong and determined.

"Who are you and what do you want?"

The female must have suffered a lot, and that had made her voice tight and tense. She looked at Cane as if she did not understand who he was and why he was currently here.

Cane took a deep breath before he stepped forward and brought out the food bag.

"I am here because I wanted to donate so food to a good cause. May I offer so food to the kids here?"

He asked, and the female looked taken aback. She looked at his food bag and then back at him, all the while keeping her suspicions high.

"Hmm, I can see that you are serious about this. I do not know what you want to do with these kids, but I will welco you all the sa. Please, co in now."

The female told Cane as she took a whole minute to walk aside and give him enough space to enter.

He quickly entered and looked around the failing space around him. And then his eyes fell on the kids, who barely looked alive.

They had almost no at on their skin and their bones were visible from under their fra. They looked wary of him, and as he entered deeper, they shuffled before hiding behind the table.

"Kids, this gentleman is here to offer you all so food."

The old lady told the kids, and their eyes sparkled with the ntion of food. Cane extended the bag toward them, and the old lady took it.

"Please, give it here. I will ration it for the kids. This might last us a week or two at least."

The lady told Cane, and he felt surprised by this.

[Shura: Hey, isn’t that food barely two-days’ worth? Just how starved is this place?]

[No#1Player: I will donate to you if you help make this place better.]

The viewers told Cane, but he knew that it was just lip talk. No one would actually pay up if he decided to set up a goal. People were selfish like that.

"If you want to help, then co in-ga and offer your help directly."

Cane told the superficial people in his chat. A few of them might help out, but most of them would ignore these people.

After all, it was just a ga, and people had more important things to spend their money on.

"Do you want to buy you more food? This is not going to last long."

Cane told the old lady as she ca out. She shook her head before she looked at Cane.

"There is no need for more food. Although, if you do want to help, I can suggest sothing. Can you help with the roof? It has been leaking for so ti, and with the rainy season coming... it might collapse... or even worse."

The female asked, and Cane nodded. He turned toward Ai, who had been quiet all this ti.

"Ai, do you have any magic—"

He asked, and Ai blinked before she nodded.

"Yes, I might have so. Let just check..."

In the end, Ai ended up casting repair magic on small sections until the shelter looked presentable once more.

Both the old lady and the kids looked relieved that they won’t have to see the house collapse anyti soon.

"Please, let know if there is anything else I can help you with."

Cane told the old lady as he kept a look on the system ssage.
