The tension in the throne room was hot, choking, and confusing. The king that was seated on the throne like a doll was not levitating and had stabbed the magnificent creature, at the back.
Every awakener had their mouth opened, puzzled, and baffled. They couldn’t tell what was going on, even as they saw it with their own eyes.
How can a re king without much power to speak off, stab a magnificent being from behind.
It was like a re moral was stabbing a god at the back, an act that would logically be impossible.
Aegon, at this mont, tilted his head, looking closely at the king who had just moved his eyes to him and back to his attacker.
Then in that mont, the king’s voice spoke out, talking to the administrator.
"Where did you think you were going, huh? Did you think you could escape ? Go against my will?"
The administrator’s eyes widened hearing these words. He had almost already turned his head, but it was still slow, since his body was nearly paralyzed, and unable to move properly.
"You... bastard!" The administrator spoke out. "You are not the king, you are him."
’Him? Who is him?’ The eyes of Aegon were strained, looking closely at the king, trying to make sense of what the administrator had said.
"Oh? So you do realize?"the king spoke out, "then there should be no need for this stupid disguise.
The body of the king began shaking armlessly as if it had been electrocuted by a high voltage of electricity.
The body began to lt as if the skin was shedding, it started with the legs, they removed, and dropped to the ground, revealing another pair of legs.
Then, the upper body, the hands, and finally the face. While the face was peeling the king’s voice spoke out.
"I have given you specific instructions, administrator. Tick tick tick, you disappoint ." It was the king’s voice that was speaking at this mont, but as the voice continued...
"I had high hopes for you, I thought we could rule Grimharrow together, with your brains and my brawn, we could have been unstoppable." Now, as the face was peeling away, the voice instantly changed into another’s voice and Aegon hearing this, felt a sudden rush in his heart.
"But you failed, failed to accomplish the one task I gave to you. So, you must die." The face of the king completely peeled out and dropped to the ground.
And there behind the administrator a new person appeared, a different face, with different eyes color, and a different dress.
The awakeners were all confused by who it was. Is he a higher being that is capable of killing another? Yet he looked human. Only one person on the ground knew who he was.
"You...!!"
The man standing behind the administrator had green eyes, blonde hair, and a mischievous smile on his face, wearing a black cloak over his body.
He looked down at Aegon who had just yelled out. "Oh, hi Aegon. I see you got my ssage, hehe."
"Reynold!!!!"
Aegon was filled with rage at this mont, his anger building up, his purple mana surrounding him and growing trendously.
Everyone saw the change in the room, the anger that had occupied every space, the mana that was pouring it.
It was very powerful and nacing like the wrath of a dinsional being was about to appear.
The awakeners all saw this and felt a cold chill in their hearts. If at this mont any of them were to speak to Aegon, their heads would be sent flying out of their necks.
They could only stare and watch in silence while swallowing their saliva.
His mana surged trendously, and the entire room began to shake. It was beyond what any other person had ever sensed before, his face completely consud by his rage.
His hands were holding the sword tightly to his right, fussing it with an insane amount of the mana.
"W-What is this power?" the words left the administrator’s mouth unexpectedly. His eyes were wide open in shock, he had never seen anything like it before.
"I know right?" Reynold spoke behind his ears, "he’s the true one. The person I bet my entire plan on. He is the final stage of it all."
The administrator listens to what Reynold was saying while looking at the intense mana pouring out of Aegon. ’Unbelievable. It is impossible for a re human to have such an incredible mouth of mana.’ he thought in his heart.
When Aegon had felt like the mana he had built up was enough, with an incredible speed, he dashed forward, leaping to where the administrator and Reynold were shouting.
"Where did you keep my sister?!"
Reynold saw his incoming approach and pushed the administrator out of his hand, using him as a ans to block or slow Aegon down?
However, Aegon, eting the administrator, sliced him into half in his god-like form as if he was cutting tomatoes.
Reynold had tried to move backwards, but Aegon had already cut the administrator and passed in-between his two separate parts, body of the creature form, sowhat dissipating.
Aegon reached Reynold and swung his sword, but with a slight movent, Reynold was able to dodge by bending his head.
The swing that Aegon missed didn’t just go to waste. The amount of energy that ca out of that single swing tore the wall of the throne room, scattering and destroying it, breaking it so that the moon light ca in and bathed the room.
Reynold landed on the ground because he was unable to levitate again. Actually, he wasn’t actually capable of levitating.
The only reason he was able to stab the administrator from the back while the administrator was up levitating, was because he had leaped so high, stabbed him imdiately and stayed in that position.
This made it look like he was levitating when in reality he hadn’t reached that point yet.
Aegon, who was consud with rage right now, but not fully taken over, saw that Reynold had landed on the ground.
Yet, he didn’t waste any ti. He was in the air, and using the back of his feets, he kicked the air and charged into Reynold breaking the sound barrier.
SLICE’
Aegon slicked the body of Reynold, or so he thought. He had sliced the body into two, and the appearance of the body imdiately turned back to the king, but now was dead.
At this mont, the mana draining system was turned off and everyone started getting their mana back, but could barely notice it.
"What?!" Everyone was confused at what had happened when the body turned into the king.
"What?... You think you killed ?"
Aegon had landed on the ground, and hearing the voice, he instantly turned to where it ca from.
There, seated on the throne was Reynold, still in the sa cloak as before.
"I am not easy to kill, Aegon. Many have tried but they have all failed."
Aegon, without even wasting any ti, shouted while he charged forward.
"Shut up! Where is my sister?!" His face furrowed, filled with anger and rage, yet if you looked into his eyes, he still knew what he was doing.
He wasn’t in a crash out. He wasn’t consud by rage. Yes, he was showing it and feeling it, but it wasn’t his master, he was still in control.
He dashed to the throne, in sound speed, and cut off the throne into two, horizontally, likewise Reynold.
However, Reynold’s body seed to just detach and join back together like it was made out of smoke.
"What?" ’He didn’t die?’Aegon was puzzled.
"Hahaha... stupid. Did you actually think I’d co here physically? That body earlier was the king’s not mine and right now I am a re hologram. You think I didn’t prepare for this?!"
Aegon was standing in front of Aegon in rage, that had been building up and threatening to take over him if things go south, yet, Aegon was able to keep himself.
"Where are you keeping her?" Aegon demanded, pointing his sword at the front of Reynold.
Reynold was standing now because the throne had been destroyed, although it wasn’t as if he could actually sit before since he’s just a hologram.
He was standing not too far from Aegon and then began to speak with that mischievous smile on his face.
"Your sister? Oh she did well in luring you here, and it worked. It seems I don’t have any use for her anymore."
Upon hearing these words, Aegon felt like strangling Reynold to death, but how could he, when his physical body wasn’t even here.
"You have beco strong. More than I imagined. I know I saw potential in you."
Aegon furrowed, looking puzzled.
"Only you, out of all the humans that went into a coma that day. The least was two days then they woke up. But only you stayed three years. At first I didn’t think much of it, when I heard it from your sister, but after you woke up I knew you were special."
"How could he wake up at this ti? Why now? Why not years ago? Why not years later? Why at this particular ti, when I am almost at the peak of my plans?"
"I questioned myself for days and nights, until I finally got an answer. It was right in front of all this while. I had needed one more entity, one more piece to complete my plans. And I found out you were the one. That last piece of the puzzle."
The awakeners were all watching quietly and listening, even Nyra who fainted earlier, had woken up and gained a little strength, her eyes on Aegon, watching and listening.
"You, Aegon, are the one who would bring about the wrath to descend on all worlds."
