Aegon felt a touch on his shoulder as the voice spoke, then he turned and before him a lady stood.

She had red hair, gold eyes, wearing a red shirt under a dark patterned coat with red lining, along with tight black pants decorated with silver chains and a thick buckled corset style belt.

On her legs, she had one black boot and one red boot along with patterned stockings.

Seeing the beauty before him, Aegon still kept his composure and then responded:

"Yes I am.’

"That’s great." she responded.

The question was as though she didn’t know he was looking for a party to join. Or she knew and wanted to confirm, nevertheless it was unusual.

The lady stood before Aegon as she stared at him from head to toe, in her mind she knew he was indeed a newbie, but she needed him.

"You can join our group," she said. "We are just about to go into the Abyss."

As the lady said this, three Farrs; two male and a female walked up to her, they were part of her team. Looking at them she introduced, gesturing with her left hand.

"This is Sheila, Natsu and Chro." Then she turned to him.

"I am Nyra, the party captain."

Aegon nodded at the three Farrs, and then his gaze was back to Nyra.

"Actually..." Nyra began "...we currently have a lot of luggages, so if it isn’t too much can you help us with them?"

Hearing this, Aegon pupils shrank for a mont then returned back to normal.

’She wants to carry their luggage?’

Aegon’s eyes shifted and landed on what Nyra was pointing at.

’That thing?’ He was taken aback.

On the ground a few steps away from them was a massive travel bag. The bag were loaded with supplies they would need for the next month after the next the Abyss.

The thing is, when it cos to the Abyss, it isn’t just a place where a person can go in and co out at will.

No, there was a ti fra. When Farrs want to enter the Abyss, they would have to prepare beforehand.

Probably days or even weeks, because entering the Abyss is like going to another continent, and when one is to go to another continent, they need to carry things they would need.

The sa concept applies here, but sowhat different because this is a different world entirely.

To enter the Abyss, Farrs would need to carry supplies such as food, and herb; assuming they don’t have soone with a healing Talent.

It wasn’t only food they carried, but also equipnt and weapons. They are going to farm resources so it was natural for the said equipnt to be carried, and in the case they see monsters, weapons can also boost their rate of killing them.

Even though this was a normal thing, there were people who are able to leave the Abyss at will, only if they have a Return Stone; a rare material which can only be obtained from inside the Abyss.

With this knowledge, it was natural for Nyra and her party to carry such luggages.

Of course Aegon had no knowledge of it, he simply thought they wanted to use him since he was a low rank Farr; he had no value in the first place.

’Are they just trying to use ?’

Aegon, for a mont wanted to refuse, but seeing that they might actually be his only chance for him to join a party, he had to comply.

"I will help."

As the words left his lips, Nyra felt relief while she thought in her heart;

’I actually didn’t think he was going to help, I thought he would ignore us like the others.’

With this much settled Aegon had joined their party, making them five in total.

There was actually no limit when it ca to forming a party, the numbers can range from two and above, the largest being over hundred; which at this point would be called a Guild.

Seeing that he was going to be spending a lot of ti with these people, Aegon had to access them.

Firstly, he looks at their dressing; Sheila was a lady around 5 ’4 wearing what looked like a mage’s robe holding a staff, this ans she’s a defensive type combat role.

Natsu and Chro were both wearing clothes that indicated they were offensive attack type Farrs.

And Nyra, she was the only person among the four whose clothes didn’t show what kind of combat type she was.

With this much, Aegon was satisfied. He didn’t know what kind of talents they had now, but after they entered the Abyss it was certain he would know.

"_-_"

Aegon carried the luggages and followed suit behind the party, the luggage was heavy.

They all left the building and walked towards the left side, for about a minute they walked and finally encountered what looked like a portal of blood.

Before Aegon and the party was a red and black spiral shaped portal swirling. It was moving in a clockwise direction, while emitting the sound of an engine.

It wasn’t that loud but if a person spoke to another while near it, they wouldn’t hear themselves.

"What is this?"

The words slipped out of Aegon’s lips in shock as he stood before the spiral glowing portal.

Hearing him and seeing his startled expression, Nyra responded:

"This is the entrance to the Abyss. I assu this is your first ti seeing it."

"We also call it The Gate. It is the term used by many farrs to refer to the entrance."

Nyra explained in detail and Aegon was able to get most of them.

"This isn’t your first ti is it?" Aegon asked.

Nyra shook her head and responded:

"No it isn’t, out of everyone here I am the only one who has gone in a couple of tis."

It was safe to say that they already have experience from the Abyss, and seeing as they haven’t died yet, ant they knew how to survive as a team.

Aegon nodded as he took note.

"Now just a few things to expect before we go in..." Nyra spoke.

"When we enter, we might co out from anywhere. It might be a desert, pure land, or a forest. In any case we have to be ready because there are always monsters lurking around every corner."

The words that Nyra spoke took root in Aegon’s heart as he nodded.

"What is your talent?"

The question ca out unexpectedly and for a mont there was silence. Aegon stood, his hands on the hand of the bag he was carrying.

He had an expressionless face that couldn’t be accessed by anyone. It was impossible to know what he was thinking.

Seeing this, Nyra spoke:

"Well it doesn’t matter, no one likes to talk about their talents anyways. You can keep it to yourself but use it when needed."

It wasn’t that Aegon was keeping his talent to himself, he didn’t even know it himself; all he knew was the rank.

’Does she want to fight? I thought she only wanted as their luggage carrier.’

The truth is, Aegon knew that the Abyss was large and he wasn’t about to stay with these people that long.

He had a goal that he must reach it. His plan was after he had entered with them, he would part ways afterwards.

However, now that plan had to be restructured to a suitable one.

"When we enter, just brace yourself for what you see."

Nyra said this and turned; facing the gate. It was a massive spiral portal, very wide with the height that of a two story building.

Nyra stood at the front of the group followed by Sheila and Natsu behind her, and Chro and Aegon afterwards.

They stepped into the glowing gate and their figures disappeared.

In the next mont, they walked out from the other side of the gate, and in an instance it disappeared.

"Huh? The gate is gone!" Sheila yelled in absolute shock.

"What?"

They all turned and it was confird, the gate has actually disappeared.

Nyra looked lost as the words slipped from her lips:

"Sothing is wrong..."

In that instance, a thunderous voice spoke, sending cold chills down everyone’s spine:
