With a swift movent Aegon was able to escape the collision of the monster’s claws as he flipped backwards.

Not only did he retreat but in the process collected his bag which was at the side of the monster, and was now safe in his hands.

"Huff... That was so close."

Aegon stood a couple of distance from the monster. His breath was heavy as he thought he was going to et his end.

He had seen his life flashed before his eyes, not only that, if he didn’t sense the movent of the monster’s claws on ti, he would have been turned into pieces.

The sound of the collision of the class was so loud it sent shockwaves from its body to the ground.

It was a thick and heavy slab of armor which was capable of crushing a boulder into dust.

’If my head had gotten hit by that thing, I don’t think I’d be standing here by now.’

Aegon held the bag in his hands as he thought of these, looking at the monster, who was puzzled that it didn’t catch its prey.

’But what happened there? I couldn’t use my mana?’

He gazed at the system hovering at his left side while it displayed the sa text.

[Notice: Excess MP used, unable to use the ability ’Warp Fist’!]

[MP: 0/22]

At the sa ti, another window was at his right side showing him how much ti he had until the quest ended.

[Quest - "status" : ongoing...]

[Details: Defeat the monster at the front of you before the ti runs out, failure, would lead to severe penalty.]

[Ti remaining: 00:06:01]

"Tch... How co my mana was drained? I haven’t used it since it was filled, and it’s not as if the return stone uses mana to operate, so how co?"

The thought was engraved in his mind as he couldn’t understand what was going on. The ability [Warp Fist] was the basis of [Particle Execution], and doesn’t take as much mana as the latter.

He was puzzled.

He had thought that he was simply going to erase the monster after he was done having his fun, but it didn’t seem to be fun anymore.

At that mont, he opened the bag and brought a black nylon. In this nylon, he brought out the wolf dagger he had bought in the weapon shop back in the real world.

He dropped the bag on the ground and held the dagger in his right hand. His gaze was fixed at the monster, piercing and determined.

He wasn’t about to lose, especially when the system had promised him a severe penalty.

One thing was for sure, if the system can give him magnificent rewards, then it can also give him serious penalties.

"If my mana is drained then I would have to fight you the old school way..."

He glanced at the system, checking how much ti he had, and it was already down to five minutes.

"Not much ti."

He dashed towards the monster and the monster seeing this, with incredible speed brought out its claws for defense.

Upon seeing this, Aegon leaped over the monster, landed on its back, and struck the dagger on it, however, there was no effect.

The exoskeleton was so hard it acted as an armor that protected its main body from harm.

In that sa mont, the monster began shaking its body, hoping Aegon would lose his balance because it couldn’t get to where he was.

Feeling the tremor, he jumped down from the monster’s back and didn’t fall from all that shaking. Then the monster turned around and faced him.

It didn’t wait for a single second and charged towards Aegon. Its spiky spear-like legs moved with astonishing speed as they covered more miles than expected.

The monster was as big as an average house and with this massive size it was difficult to be carried by those spiky legs which almost made it looked as if it was going to lose its balance.

However, it didn’t. The monster didn’t feel treated by the human before it, but because ’he’ was a strange creature, it felt a need to defend its territory.

Aegon saw the monster charging towards him, as its shadow grew near. He didn’t know what he was going to do at this point and only had a couple seconds to think.

’Co one, co one. If the back didn’t work there has to be soplace else. Sowhere that isn’t covered by the exoskeleton. Sowhere vulnerable...’

As he thought of this, his gaze subconsciously glanced at the system and saw he only had three more minutes before the end of the quest.

Seeing this, his heart sank since he knew he was going to be in a deep ss if not completed before the ti runs out.

In that mont, the monster had already reached him, towering over him as it casted it shadow. Aegon looked like an ant in front of it.

Just then the monster swung its right claw and Aegon instantly jumped and dodged it. However as he was landing, the left claw ca flying, Aegon saw it but was unable to react fast enough

He used the dagger in his right hand as he shields for a counter, but the force of the blow was so strong that it hit and sent him flying to a far side of the shore.

It used to be a crab but not anymore as it had already evolved into a full grown monster and was now the protector of the shore, so its strength was justified.

Aegon landed on the ground and rotated to a certain point of the shore while so sands made their way into his mouth.

Imdiately, he spat them out and tried to stand up, but fell back down. He was feeling pain all over his body while the system displayed.

[Fatigue: 8]

[HP: 92]

The glow from the monster had left him on the ground as though he was weak, but he didn’t just take a blow for nothing.

He thought inwardly:

’I got it all wrong. Instead of looking for the soft exoskeleton, I should have looked for a place that was already vulnerable.’

Aegon placed his hands on the ground and lifted himself up. Yes he was feeling pain but no bruises, so what?

He was about to fight a monster for the first with no mana or powers but with his pure strength.

He stood up from the ground, cleaning his lips which had a mix of sand and saliva. Then, he turned to the monster, it was standing and waiting for him.

It was almost as if the monster was saying he should stand up, as it didn’t want to fight a weak monster.

"Feel yourself."

At this mont, Aegon didn’t look at the system because he did not want to be pressured by the remaining ti.

His gaze was fixed at the monster, to the cheliped that joined with the claws, and knew that was where it was vulnerable the most.

"The joints."

Aegon didn’t wait for the monster to co to him, but he himself went to et it, in one go.

He charged, running like his life depended on it, closing the distance between him and the monster, very quickly. The monster saw him and also charged at him.

They were both running at each other; one was an ant that didn’t cause terror, while the other shook the ground with every step it took.

As they were both close to each other, the monster wasted no ti and threw its claws forward but Aegon evaded it by sliding underneath it.

As he went under, he used the tip of the dagger and slashed the five joints of the right side of the monster’s legs.

Afterwards, he ca out and the monster fell to the ground, laying on its left side since there was no support from its right side which had already been cut.

"You might have evolved, but you are still a crab..."

[Quest - "status" : ongoing...]

[Ti remaining: 00:00:59]

The monster was already vulnerable, it laid on the ground while trying to get back up, but it was unable.

It didn’t have its other legs to support it, therefore it was deed to die.

Aegon seeing how much ti he had and at the sa ti seeing how much the monster was struggling, felt nothing towards it.

He stood in front of the monster and gazed at its face, while it likewise looked at him.

The monster had an expression as though it knew it was done for and was bested by a re human, it had to accept it.

At the sa ti, Aegon felt relieved. He had thought the monster could perceive mana and use it, but it turned out it didn’t.

However, that didn’t stop him from staying on his guard. He was in an area of the Abyss he had never heard off, perhaps a new world within it.

[Quest - "status" : ongoing...]

[Ti remaining: 00:00:19]

"There’s not much ti, so I have to end you now."

At this mont, the monster had already fallen to its back, its underside visible, and seeing this Aegon climbed on it.

The monster struggled but it was futile since there was nothing it could do. With both hands, Aegon held the dagger and struck the central nerve of the monster splitting it down the middle.

At that mont, black blood gushed out from the monster, flowing uncontrollably as the it continuously shook its body, but after a couple seconds, it stopped.
