The crowd cheered after hearing they would be rewarded if the mission was completed, and with a reward involved who wouldn’t take the job?
The Chairman stepped down from the stage and left as he ca, while the vice chairman took the microphone and continued.
"Alright, you have all heard it. I will now explain in detail what you need to do..."
"In the last couple of months we have observed so certain events in the abyss as things are not going well. We think it is not ordinary that sothing or soone is behind it, and with what happened last night, it is confird."
The crowd listened while he explained the entire mission in full. It was a mission that was given to Farrs individually, but also to Guilds.
Farrs that were mbers of a guild had to listen to the guild’s master’s instructions on how they were going to catch these thieves.
Nobody knew who they were, or where they were going, except for Aegon of course.
The vice chairman also said that the reward for a guild, if one or more of their mbers catches these thieves, the said guild would be rewarded likewise.
Hearing this, there was a loud noise of annoyance in the hall amongst the Farrs. It was obvious that the guilds who get the thieves would obtain greater rewards than if it was a Farr who isn’t in any guild.
Being in a guild wasn’t by force, one can either choose to be in one or go solo, either way was accepted in the association
The thing is that, when a Farr goes solo they would only be able to take missions from the association alone, and the benefits weren’t that much except if they perform astonishingly.
With this they are able to not be involved in all the policies and drama when in a guild.
However, when it cos to being part of a guild, there are so many benefits than solo, but they would also be restricted to so certain privileges.
Obviously they would get paid both from the Farrs Association and also their guild, which in the case for solo farrs; they only get paid by the association.
While when a solo Farr gets a lot of items from the Abyss; they can either choose to sell it or exchange it, or use it to get stronger.
But when you are in a guild you don’t have that privilege. Everything that you obtain from the Abyss is given to the guild and afterwards they would decide which portion you get.
Of course, they pay you money that covers your living necessities like housing, clothing and feeding, but your duration to grow is shortened, expected you’re a top rank performing Farr.
Those who perform best get the best treatnt then those who don’t. So in essence more Farrs are likely to go solo because they want to have the right to all they obtained.
However, it is always recomnded to join a guild because of the short of cost the Farrs have to pay, but who would only want money and not strength?
In this world strength ans everything and people are ready to attain it at what cost, so who would want to join a guild when they would be limited?
Currently, it is estimated that there were a lot of Farrs who joined a guild, but there are more who go solo.
With this knowledge it is understandable why the crowd got pissed off after they heard the guilds would get more rewards.
The vice chairman waited for all of them to quiet down before he continued speaking. He didn’t have a say in the matter because it was a decision by the board of the Farrs Association.
Although it was recomnded to join a guild so whose fault was it if they felt annoyed?
Aegon stood and listened to all that was said around him. He had gotten all the gist of how the Guilds work.
How solo Farr and guild mbers get their benefits, and from his own perspective, he would still stay in the solo side.
After the explanation of the entire mission, it was advised that the Farrs should first start with the city because it would be impossible for the thieves to enter the Abyss without notice.
High level security has been placed at the gate leading to the Abyss. The association thought that with such a level of security they would swiftly catch the thieves if they wanted to escape into the Abyss.
But how could they be certain?
The thieves might dress in normal clothes to mask themselves, which would make them invisible, but how would they carry the item they stole inside?
There was an advanced high tech device standing at the gate. It was a device that could detect the stamp placed in the items.
Stamps were placed in every item and legendary objects that were owned by the association. It was a way for them to leave their mark.
Now, if the thieves wanted to cross into the Abyss they would have to find the stamp and remove it, but this could prove difficult.
"_-_"
"Now with this, I wish you all good luck and be safe out there!"
The vice chairman finished his speech, stepped down from the stage and left through the back.
At this mont, chatter and murmuring filled the hall as the farrs talked amongst themselves. They contemplated on whether they should take the advice and start searching the city, or enter the Abyss.
Most thought entering the Abyss was the best call because if the thieves were capable of stealing without the notice of the association, what is stopping them from entering the Abyss undetected?
"A stamp? What makes the association think the thieves wouldn’t bypass it?"
"I think they’re telling us to start searching from the city because they don’t want us thinking they are unable to prevent them from entering and so we don’t think they are incapable just like last night."
"Yeah, you are right. I am sure it was a big slap on the association’s top dogs that they failed to detect and catch the thieves."
The conversation went on and on, and Aegon paid attention to every detail of what was said. He took information from every corner that he even had to move to access more.
The best place to get information when you are lacking, is in the presence of a group of people or crowd, because people will always talk.
At this point, Aegon had found himself at the wall of the hall. He leaned his back on it, his hands folded together while his eyes were closed.
He was listening and taking notes in his head, when he heard a voice call out.
"Hey, you there!"
His eyes opened and watched as two individuals walked towards him, he recognized them.
"It is you isn’t it?" one of them asked, but Aegon didn’t respond.
Just then another individual joined them and the one who had spoken said to the one who just ca.
"I told you he is the one, you see I am always right."
The three individuals stood before Aegon in amusent as if they had seen a celebrity, then one of them asked.
"Don’t you rember us?" he said this with a joke kind of voice as if looking down on Aegon.
Then Aegon replied;
"Am I supposed to?"
The individual who asked the question turned to the others as they all laughed weirdly in sync.
"What do you an you don’t rember us? That isn’t any way to talk to a friend."
Aegon gazed at these mad individuals with a stern expression while he thought in his heart.
’Of course, I rember them, they were the ones from the shop last night. I’m guessing they are here to question on how I got that crystal, hmph.’
