New Year’s Eve, South Hangar

Sam couldn’t help her mind to wander, as she gazed upon the red before her eyes. It glistened under the lights, it was her hair, soaked in her own blood.

It was pretty, she thought.

If her calculations were correct, it was New years eve. And if a year ago soone told her that she would spend her next New year’s eve in an abandoned hangar, sowhere in Cardiff with a knife in her hand...she would have called them crazy.

But there she was, pressing a blade against her cousin’s milky white neck.

So, slit his carotid artery then? She asked herself.

Marco’s eyes scanned the surroundings, a deserted hangar, dimly lit. A body sprawled on the ground, from what he observed the cause is an explosion, from what? He wondered.

And just a few feet away, was Sam, Marco’s heart leaped with joy knowing that she was alive.

But his brows furrowed together in concern, as he scanned her and ntally diagnosed her injuries; there was bleeding around her stomach, and head.

Levi’s eyes narrowed at the man underneath her, he recognized him as Czar Murdoch. He was her cousin. Reading the situation, he could tell both Czar’s arms were both dislocated. And his face was almost unrecognizable, with cuts, bruising and blood, covering it.

The cause? Simple, the woman with the knife in hand. Her knuckles were swollen, probably from hitting him nurous tis.

Both Levi and Marco surveyed her injuries, and they could tell by the expression on her face, she couldn’t feel any of it. Not even the wound on her side, soaking her pajama top.

Adrenaline. She was so high on the chemical in her body, she failed to notice the two n who were approaching the scene.

"Sam." Levi slowly and cautiously called the redhead. She was not completely herself, and any sudden movent may cause her to press a little too hard, and slice Czar’s neck.

Marco sent Levi a worried look, for the look in her eyes was empty, he didn’t like it. He doesn’t like how that image of her before him had been imprinted in his mind. It was the image of her on the verge of taking a life.

"Listen to , look at , Sam!" Levi called, raising his voice slightly. And Sam flinched, startled at the new sound. A guttural scream passed Czar’s throat, Sam had pressed harder involuntarily. Cutting through his epidermis and drawing blood.

"Sam, take the knife away," Levi instructed slowly, showing both his hands in surrender. Trying to look as non-threatening as possible. Sam frowned, confused. She was woozy, and she felt tired and wet?

Oh... She realized. Yes, she was bleeding, her cousin had stabbed her. This man beneath her tried to kill her. He was the cause of everything. The Mind behind the murder of not only her trusted friend Mo but also stealing Rona’s future. This man, her cousin, tried to destroy her life. She could end it there, she had every right to.

Sam turned to the two n, "This would be over soon," she confessed, voice hoarse. Marco raised his arms, pointing his gun at the redhead, earning a bewildered look from the slicked blond beside him.

Marco wondered how they found themselves in that situation, just 6 months ago, they were solving cris and having tea together. And now he stood there, pointing his gun at his friend, Sam.

"Marco, Marco, Don’t," Levi told him, and the bearded man didn’t miss the concealed desperation in the blond’s voice. "Sam put down the knife, put down the knife, Sam," Marco said, almost pleading. He has to do it, he didn’t want to, but he can’t let her kill soone. At least he hoped she’d fall for his bluff.

He can’t let one of his friends kill a man before him, not again.

Sam’s green eyes flashed with anger, "He tried to kill , he almost succeeded in destroying my life. He’s behind all of it." she explained firmly, anger surfacing.

Marco shook his head. "Sam, I will shoot you. Put the knife down," he instructed, sternly.

Sam’s face contorted in confusion, then all emotions left her face. Tilting her head sideways to look at both of them, "Why shouldn’t I just kill him? He’s been a very bad cousin." she asked casually, causing Marco and Levi to feel more concerned. She wasn’t thinking clearly.

"Cause you’re not a killer, Sam! You’re not a murderer! Don’t do this!" Marco urged. "He’s right. Marco’s right! Put the blade down." Levi insisted, slowly coming closer towards her.

The corner of her lips curved up into a small smile, "It’s not murder," she replied, looking down at her cousin. And she smiled widely at him, kneeing his broken left arm.

Czar whimpered in pain beneath her, "It’s not murder when he abducted with every reason to kill ." she said.

" If it was the other way around, he vowed that he’ll send in pieces. He’ll jar my eyes and send it to my brother. My head and Heart to Levi. Not that you won’t appreciate the head, Levi...." Sam joked,

Marco’s hand felt suddenly weary, he could just imagine it. Her green eyes float in a jar, a gift, like a gift left in the previous location, the doll with her hair. Shouldn’t he let n like that die? But that would an, he’ll let her be a killer, wouldn’t he? Marco ntally debated.

"It’s self-defense, and officially, I’m ntally unsound...and Insanity is the best defense, with the World’s Best Lawyers at my disposal. That is if I even make it to the Court Hearing." Sam says making great points in Levi’s mind.

Terror filled Czar’s face, he struggled beneath her. He wanted to push the knife away from his neck but both his arms were broken.

"No. No. No. No. Stop her, stop Dr. Evans, Mr. Jackson!" He scread for help.

It won’t be Murder. He abducted, tortured, and tried to kill her. It was an easily defendable case. He attacked, they fought and she protected her life. No jury would see a woman, who had been abducted in a ntal facility out of depression, guilty of murdering a man who tried to kill her, Levi thought.

"rcy," Czar begged below her. Sam removed the knife from his neck, and there was a brief silence.

She turned to look at Marco, "Now, don’t shoot , Marco." She instructed lightly, raising the knife and pushing it down.

"NOOOO!!!" Marco shouted.
