Chapter 48 She Lied Again
Xia Xiaoluo and Dou Ya finished their lunch outside. No sooner had just three minutes passed when the two departed than Xia Xiaoluo’s smartphone rang.
“Hello, Xiaoluo, it’s Ouyang. Are you free this afternoon? I have a good idea for dancing and would like to have your comnts.”
“Senior Ouyang, I have to attend the first and second classes in the afternoon. Could I go to the dancing room to find you after classes?”
“Okay, I’ll wait for you.”
“Sure, I’ll right on ti.”
As soon as she hung up, Xia Xiaoluo received another call with the caller ID as a disappointing na—Ling Tianyi.
After she put it through, Ling Tianyi shouted at the other end of the call, “Xia Xiaoluo, who did you call with? The line was engaged.”
“Hello, em...I just received a call from a female classmate, who asked to occupy a seat for her for the lectures this afternoon.” Xia Xiaoluo was a little nervous, for she must co to a bad end if Ling Tianyi knew the fact, naly, she just called with such a handso campus-king guy. However, she lied to him again, but it should not be uncovered.
“Where are you now?” Ling Tianyi asked in a bad mood.
“I just had lunch with Dou Ya and I am going back to college. Rest assured! There was no male friend.” Xia Xiaoluo explained quickly. Though she told the truth, it still sounded like she was painting her lie, which made Ling Tianyi even more vexed and resentful.
At that ti, Ling Tianyi’s car was parked at the gate of Dwichen’s College. Through the rear-view mirror, he saw Xia Xiaoluo wandered while talking on the phone with a big bag across her body.
Perhaps due to her full concentration on the phone, Xia Xiaoluo did not notice him even though she had already bypassed his car.
Ling Tianyi opened the door. He stretched his arm and caught Xia Xiaoluo on the strap of her backpack.
“Who’s it?” Xia Xiaoluo returned back only to find Ling Tianyi giving her an angry stare.
“Oh! Why are you here?” Xia Xiaoluo forced a smile, causing her a really unnatural look on her face.
Catching a glance at her guilty look, Ling Tianyi more confird that his little wife must be flirting with other n. That’s why she beca so scared to see him.
Taking Xia Xiaoluo into his car, Ling Tianyi quickly drove his car away from Dwichen’s College.
“Where are you taking ? I have to attend the first and second classes this afternoon.” Xia Xiaoluo said to Ling Tianyi, who remained in silence.
“Go ho.” Ling Tianyi replied shortly.
Xia Xiaoluo felt restless. Having been together with Ling Tianyi for so long, she ca to know his temper. Now, Ling Tianyi’s look reflected the warning sign of the rage, which could be compared to a volcanic eruption!
Xia Xiaoluo knew that she could not irritate him anymore at this mont but comply with his wishes. Then she spoke to Ling Tianyi in a pettishly charming voice, “Hubby, you asked to study hard in college. There’re specialized courses this afternoon, so they are very important. What’s the matter? Can’t you talk to after classes?”
Ignoring what Xia Xiaoluo said to him, Ling Tianyi simply remained in silence and drove his car directly to the underground parking of their apartnt. After that, he took her straightly to their ho without any word.
His silence scared Xia Xiaoluo so that she kept talking to him, though, with no reply.
“Bang!” Ling Tianyi slamd the door of the apartnt.
“Hubby, why are you so mad? Did I make any mistake?” Xia Xiaoluo asked cautiously.
“Give your smartphone!” Ling Tianyi stretched his hand. His serious-looking gaze scared Xia Xiaoluo.
She handed her phone over to Ling Tianyi, who quickly slide down the call record. His face was even darker than before.
“Just now, you said that a female classmate called you, asking you to occupy a seat for her.” Ling Tianyi shook Xia Xiaoluo’s smartphone. He was too angry to speak out a word. After a while, he continued, “When did Ouyang Ziqian beco your female classmate?”
“Dear, don’t misunderstand . Ouyang Ziqian is the president of our Dance Club. He called just to ask to go to the dancing room when I am free in the afternoon. That’s it. I was afraid that you would misunderstand before, so I lied. I know. It’s my fault. Don’t be so mad.” Xia Xiaoluo explained imdiately.
She was so worried that she burst into tears. All she did was just to catch a few glances at Ouyang Ziqian, for she thought he was really handso. But she really did not have any inordinate affection upon him. In fact, she had nothing to do with Ouyang Ziqian. However, a montary slip led her to lie to Ling Tianyi, the jealous old man. Now, she found it hard to clear oneself of a charge.
Ling Tianyi threw an angry-looking stare to Xia Xiaoluo and dragged her into the study.
Turning on his working laptop, Ling Tianyi pointed the material Chu Wei had sent to his mailbox, saying, “Xia Xiaoluo, look at it carefully! How dare you say that you have no relationship with Ouyang Ziqian?”
“I really have nothing to do with Ouyang Ziqian? But are you investigating him? Or, you are inquiring into ?” cried Xia Xiaoluo, feeling very aggrieved. As Ling Tianyi had carried out the investigation, he should know there was totally nothing between Ouyang Ziqian and her. But why should he get so mad on her?
“I had not intended to investigate him or you. I am really busy managing Huasheng Group. I actually have no ti to do that. To tell you the truth, it is your Senior Ouyang who carried out the investigation, including you as well as .” Finishing his words, Ling Tianyi closed his laptop, feeling more irritated than he was just now.
“Senior Ouyang are investigating ? How co?” Xia Xiaoluo said to herself. After she thought for a while, she quickly explained, “Senior Ouyang is the president of FLY Dance Club and I am a freshman of the club with your permission. So, it’s quite normal for a president to inquire into his new mber.”
“Dear, don’t be so mad! You really misunderstood . I will definitely not provoke any other male students in college. I promise that I won’t lie to you anymore,” said Xia Xiaoluo while taking Ling Tianyi’s arm. This old man looked really scared when he was in a great rage.
Ling Tianyi pushed Xia Xiaoluo away and leaned against the desk, saying, “Xia Xiaoluo, you’re really good at embellishing a lie. Fine, leaving aside Ouyang Ziqian, how about Fang Ruichen? How do you explain that?”
“Fang Ruichen, ugh! That guy is my sworn enemy, the nasty man who you t before in the seafood restaurant. He’s always bullying and once kicked . “Fang Ruichen is also investigating you. Besides, he took advantage of my license number to make an investigation on and our relationship.” Ling Tianyi threw a stare to Xia Xiaoluo with anger, finding this little girl really troubleso. He had tended to have her keep low-key on campus. But, during these days after the college started, she had stirred up investigations from two male students, which was really improper.
“Hmm, that guy is investigating , for he must want to deal with . Hubby, you should protect !” Xia Xiaoluo took Ling Tianyi’s arm, showing a pettishly charming face.
In order to let Ling Tianyi calm down as quickly as possible, Xia Xiaoluo stood on tiptoe to kiss him on his chin, saying, “Dear, stop being angry?”
Ling Tianyi sighed. He could not stand the little girl’s pettishly charming act. Even though he burned with anger, he largely cald down.
“You naughty! Can’t you keep still even for a while?” Ling Tianyi took his little wife into his arms, showing that he did not tend to continue the inquiry into her mistake.
Xia Xiaoluo rubbed in Ling Tianyi’s arms and continued to act spoiled, saying to him, “Dear, you are not mad at , are you?”
“Rember, be low-key on campus and don’t have a close association with your male classmates. Even if you are not intending to provoke people, they may fall in love with you. So, it’s impossible for Senior Ouyang to take a fancy to . Instead, he just cares about his new mber. As for Fang Ruichen, he’s always been bullying . So, he did this just for making suffer more. Hubby, you should help !” Snuggling against Ling Tianyi, Xia Xiaoluo continued to act spoiled, for she really did not believe that these two students may possibly fall in love with her.
Ling Tianyi did not argue with her, but he believed that things would not be that simple based on his judgent on intuition. Ouyang Ziqian had a girlfriend. For this fact, he would have Chu Wei check for it; as for Fang Ruichen, the troubleso guy dared to bully his little wife largely out of his affection for Xia Xiaoluo. Likewise, when he was a child, he used to deliberately bully the girl he liked so as to arouse her attention.
“Dear, would you like to send to college? I’ll really be late if we stay here for a longer ti.” Xia Xiaoluo looked at the wall clock of the study. The class would begin within half an hour.
Ling Tianyi had already canceled all the arrangents in the afternoon and evening, so he was free this afternoon. Since he stole a mont of leisure for the rest of the day, he would not really waste this valuable spare ti.
Ling Tianyi abruptly took Xia Xiaoluo in his arms, saying, “You don’t bother to go to college, for I have already helped you to get leave. Although you don’t like these two nasty guys, it’s still your fault for they’ve paid too much attention to you. Besides, you lied to today once again. You made a double mistake. This afternoon, I don’t have to go to work, so now let’s go to the bedroom. We have enough ti to work on it, trying to figure out how I should punish you.”
“What! You want it again!” Xia Xiaoluo was almost crying, for she knew what this man tended to do. But, why was he always being so energetic? Couldn’t he feel tired?
Ling Tianyi seed really not to feel worn out and kept doing the exercises together with Xia Xiaoluo, who did not dare to complain. It was his punishnt for her. It was already the supper ti when Ling Tianyi finished his punishnt on Xia Xiaoluo. Only till this mont did she rembered that she had promised Ouyang Ziqian to find him in the dancing room after class.
Xia Xiaoluo sent a surreptitious text ssage to Ouyang Ziqian when Ling Tianyi went to the bathroom, writing, “Senior Ouyang, my sincere apologies! Due to last-minute affairs at ho, I cannot manage to go to the dancing room. It’s not the right ti to talk about it over the phone. I will contact you tomorrow after I’m on campus.”
After sending the text ssage, Xia Xiaoluo imdiately erased the outbox in case that she would be caught by Ling Tianyi. After that, she continued to lie in bed, playing mobile gas.
Ling Tianyi took a shower and returned to Xia Xiaoluo’s side, his restless hands beginning moving on her body again and saying, “Babe, I want you again. What should I do?”
