Jane slowly opened her eyes only to be greeted by Nathan’s charming face. He was gently caressing her cheeks.
"How are you? Do you feel unwell?" He asked her worriedly.
She smiled faintly before sitting up, leaning on the headboard of the bed.
"I’m fine. Where are we?" She looked around, noticing the unfamiliar surroundings.
Nathan pulled her, wrapping his arm around her waist. "We are in a mountain resort. I want you to unwind... a new and fresh environnt is good for your pregnancy. You and our baby need to be healthy."
Jane rested her head on his shoulder. "I know. I’m sorry for making you worry. How did you find ?"
"I’ve been secretly following you and Abigail," he admitted.
She pouted her lips, punching Nathan’s chest. "Hmm. You’ve improved. I didn’t notice your presence at all."
Nathan chuckled huskily before kissing her forehead. "I know, right. You were so focused on buying our baby’s clothes. I was standing just a few ters away from you."
Jane giggled softly. "Hmm, you should have joined us so that you could also pick so clothes for our baby." She gently rubbed her tummy.
"Next ti... let’s hang out together with Ethan. Then we can buy more items for your pregnancy," Nathan suggested, playfully tapping the tip of her nose.
"By the way, Love, do you want to breathe so fresh air? We can go to the terrace and enjoy the overlooking view of the hillside."
Jane quickly nodded. She didn’t want to stay in bed. Instead, she would like to stroll around the mountain resort. She felt more relaxed in Nathan’s presence. It’s been so long since the last ti they went on a trip– just the two of them.
Nathan gently pulled her up from the bed, carrying her in his arms as he proceeded to the balcony attached to their room.
Upon reaching the terrace, he put her down near the railing as he stood behind her and hugged her.
Jane’s face brightened the mont her gaze landed on the beautiful landscapes of the resort. Below their balcony, a garden filled with a variety of flowers, such as tulips, roses, daisies, and many more, greeted them. The green hills and the clear blue sky added more charm to the picturesque view. There were also pine trees in their surroundings.
"I love it. So beautiful... especially the flower field," Jane said, inhaling the fresh, cold air.
"I’m glad you like it. But you are more beautiful than the flowers," Nathan cooed in her ear, and planted a soft kiss on her nape.
Jane could only smile at his complint. "Such a sweet talker, Nate!"
He chuckled huskily before he broke the hug. He picked up sothing from the table near them.
"Let play..." Nathan said as he took out the bamboo flute from its case.
Jane glanced at him with amusent. "Do you know how to play the flute?"
"Hmm. No. But I have been practicing for the past few days. Listen, Love. Then give so feedback later about my performance," he replied, winking at her.
She just nodded, her eyes gleaming with anticipation.
It did not take long before Nathan played the flute, its light and llow sound echoing through the mountain like a gentle wind.
’Hmm. The sound is soothing in my ears. He is good at playing the flute even though he is just a beginner,’ Jane thought, a broad smile flashing on her face. She felt proud of Nathan.
As he continued playing the instrunt, several colorful love birds began flying toward the balcony, approaching them.
"Oh, they are so cute. Nate, you attracted them! Where are they coming from?" Jane exclaid with her elated voice. She even extended her arm, allowing the birds to land on her palm.
A dozen birds flocked in around them. Then the biggest bird flew toward Jane, a piece of rose pressed on its beak.
"Amazing. Is this for ?" Jane asked as the bird landed on her palm, putting down the red rose.
"Oh, so cute. A very smart bird," she added, enjoying this wonderful mont.
Several seconds later, dozens of butterflies showed up in the flower field under the balcony. They flew around the flowers, adding more colors to the beautiful garden.
Jane could only watch in awe as the small birds and butterflies were flying around in front of her eyes, as though those tiny little things were srized by the sound of Nathan’s flute.
"Hmm. Nate, what kind of magic did you use here, summoning these cute little birds and colorful butterflies?" Jane blurted out in amazent.
Nathan just winked at her in response. He continued playing his wooden flute.
Jane could only giggle. "Is this so kind of exhibition, Nate. No wonder you practiced a lot. After birds and butterflies, I wonder what is going to appear next..."
She had just finished her words when suddenly another group of birds showed up, dragging a long, folded banner.
"Seriously. They look like trained birds," she comnted.
Still floating in the air, the birds drop the folded banner, revealing so letters and characters.
Jane was rendered speechless the mont the words sank in.
[ Jane– My– Love– Will– You– Be– My– Wife? ]
She instinctively turned to Nate, giving him a questioning gaze.
Nathan, on the other hand, had already stopped playing the flute. An anxious smile ford in the corners of his lips.
Soon, a drone flew toward Nathan, delivering a small box. He took it and then moved closer to Jane. His intense gaze still lingered on her face.
Grabbing her left hand, Nathan dropped to his one knee, gazing at her. Using his free hand, he clicked the small box, revealing a sparkling diamond ring.
"Jane, please marry !" He uttered with eyes filled with yearning and sincerity. "Let’s tie the knot and be my wife! I can no longer delay this. Please spend the rest of your life with ... Allow to take care of you... Protect you. Cherish you. I will love you forever... Please... beco my Mrs. Sparks..."
Jane could no longer contain her happiness. With her teary eyes, she bobbed her head frantically and answered, "Yes! Yes! I’ll marry you, Nate. I want to be with you forever."
Nathan’s eyes lit up when he heard that. He quickly put the ring on her finger and hastily stood up to claim her lips. He kissed her passionately!
