Day Ninety-Nine...

At Sparks Family Mansion...

The three n were talking in the balcony- Nathan, Aiden, and Stephen.

"Nate, is everything set for your proposal?" Aiden asked his best friend teasingly. He nudged his shoulder while winking at him.

Stephen could only smile as he waited for Nathan’s response. He also wondered how Nathan prepared for his marriage proposal.

"Yes. Thanks for your help, Bro. I can’t wait to marry her. This should have happened a long ti ago, but it’s only happening now," Nathan replied with a faint smile.

"We have a lots to celebrate aside from our wedding. I will make sure not to let her go ever again," he added.

Aiden nodded, tapping his back. He felt so happy for his best friend. "I wish you all the best, Bro! Live happily with your family. Protect them well. We don’t want to see you lying in the hospital bed again. You really scared us to death! We thought you would never wake up again. It’s a miracle the three of you survive!"

"I will not waste this second chance. This ti I’ll make it right... Nothing can separate us ever again."

"Ahem. we are getting very sentintal here, Bro. Today is our celebration! Let’s avoid talking about those tragic events." Stephen butted in, placing his arms around his best friends’ shoulders.

"Fine. Now, let’s talk about the two of you. When do you plan to settle down?" Nathan asked them expectantly.

Aiden and Stephen exchanged glances with one another. No one had spoken up to answer Nathan’s question.

Nathan cocked his eyebrow while pursing his lips. "You love getting involve with my personal life, but you never once shared yours to . Are you really my best buddies?"

"Go and find your girl! Then settle down. You have to catch up with . Ethan is already five years old. He needs playmates from his Uncles."

Nathan seed to be in a good mood. He was the one who initiated to tease the two n.

Stephen chuckled huskily and responded, "I haven’t t the one for yet. But I guess, Aiden already has soone in mind."

Both Nathan and Stephen gave Aiden a scrutinizing look. They began pestering Aiden about his crush.

"So, what’s your relationship status now? Did you make a move on Cherry? How is it?" Stephen asked, a knowing smile tugging on his lips.

Aiden was about to reply when the woman they were talking about suddenly showed up in the balcony.

"Nate, Sis Jane is back. She is in the living room with Abigail and others. She is looking for you."

"Thanks, Cherry. I’m going to see her now." Nathan stood up and headed straight to the living room. But before he disappeared from Aiden’s view, he still mouthed the words, telling him to confess already and wishing him a good luck.

Aiden couldn’t help but blush in embarrassnt. Although, she already agreed to give him a chance to get to know him better, he wasn’t certain if Cherry would accept him.

Stephen quickly pushed Aiden, gesturing him to approach Cherry. "Stop hesitating. You must face this head-on," he whispered to him.

Aiden just gulped hard, trying to calm down his beating heart. He suddenly got nervous when Cherry got near him.

"I’m going to check the table setting in the front yard," Stephen said before dashing out of their sight.

Aiden and Cherry were left in the balcony alone.

"Let’s go and join them. We will be eating lunch together." Cherry broke the silence first, inviting him.

Aiden could only smile and nodded, scratching his blushing face. He just followed her as they headed inside the mansion. As they walked side by side, Aiden mustered his courage to speak up his mind.

"Cherry, wait!" he called out, instinctively capturing her wrist to stop her from moving further.

She paused on her track and looked at him with a questioning gaze. "Yes? What do you want?"

"Can you spare so monts? There is sothing I want to tell you," he boldly said, putting on his brave front.

’Stephen and Nate are right. There is no reason to hesitate. I have to face this bravely. If she will reject now, then I have to accept her decision and move on.’

Cherry, on the other hand, stared at Aiden for a long mont before she agreed. "Alright. I’ll give you ten minutes. After that, we have to go back and join everyone in the front yard."

’Huh? Only ten minutes?! Can I really do this in just a short period of ti? Will I be able to get her answer and be rejected in just ten minutes?’ Aiden started to beco more anxious. He felt like he was losing his confidence in front of her.

’No! I should man up! I have to tell her everything now!’ he encouraged himself.

It did not take long before the two of them returned to the balcony. Cherry sat down in front of Aiden, waiting for him to speak up.

"Go on. You only have ten minutes," she said strictly.

Aiden took a deep sigh while balling his fingers into fists. He could feel the heavy tension surrounding them. It felt like killing him from too much nervousness.

"Cherry," he began.

To her surprise, Aiden suddenly dropped to his knees in front of her while holding her hands. Then he gazed at her with a puppy-eyed look.

"I really really like you! I can’t get you out of my mind. I really want you to beco my girlfriend. I don’t know if you also like . But I am here just to tell you what I truly feel. You are the only woman who makes crazy in love like this. This feeling is so unfamiliar to . But I know for sure... that I want you to be mine!"

Aiden spoke spontaneously without taking a breath. He could only utter the words from his mind. "I’m maybe lacking qualities that you like. But I promise to treat you better. I an... I’ll give you the best treatnt in the world. I am not good in fighting... or handling weapons... but if you want to beco soone you can rely on, I will do my best to change myself and be worthy of your love."

"Please... can you be my girlfriend?"

By the ti, Aiden finished his words, he was already catching his breath. He even closed his eyes, afraid to et Cherry’s gaze. He wondered if she felt annoyed by his sudden confession.

’Am I so corny. Did I piss her off? Damn! Her silence is killing . I wonder how will she react after hearing those words. Will she kick and beat ?’

Aiden felt like he was standing on the edge of the cliff right now, waiting for his death sentence. Cherry had been quiet and he didn’t have courage to look at her eyes now.

’Damn. Did I fuck up?! Cherry... please say sothing. I’m going to die from heart attack if you continue to stay quiet. The silence is so deafening.’ He thought to himself while bracing himself to hear Cherry’s response.

Aiden was about to open his eyes when suddenly he felt a movent in front of him. Before he knew it, soft warm lips covered his. Cherry unexpectedly kissed him! Oh God! She kissed him! And Aiden’s soul seed to go out of his body from the realization she initiated to kiss him first.

’Am I going to faint? What’s going on here? Did I die already from heartattack? Is this heaven?’
