- KILLIAN -

’Pick up, please.’

I read the ssage staring at from my phone. It’s past twelve am. Why am I up by this ti when I’m doing absolutely nothing? Because I can’t sleep.

Even when I tried to, I couldn’t. I sigh. How could I when I was worried sick about her?

’I’m on my way.’ I text and drop my phone on my bed. I’m laying flat with my head facing the ceiling and my hands stretched out on both my sides. Just tonight, I risked having a heart attack knowing she was alone. Never again will I let this happen.

I won’t be the man to restrict my woman from partying or having fun but when it cos to her safety, I have no option but to do so. I groan and sit up.

Here’s to hoping she had fun and every diabolical thing Asami probably had in mind to do to her wasn’t done. I stand up from my bed.

The next outing she has, I’ll be sure to get thorough research and information out of her, but right now, I just want to see my baby. I missed her.

This dependence on her is getting out of hand and I don’t hate to admit it, I love being able to live my day knowing I have soone to look forward to eting. I love knowing soone’s out there, other than my brother, Natalie, my n and a few friends, worrying about and thinking about .

Hazel said she loves . I can’t tell if that was done on impulse or she really said so due to the circumstances. I an, I always say ’Love you’ to my brother and Natalie. Doesn’t an I an it in that way, if you get what I an.

In any case, I love her too.

I pick up my phone from my bed and grab my car keys from my desk then leave my room. I already had soone arrange my car for picking her up. Sothing I hope she’ll love.

"I’m outside." I say on the phone, staring at the dimly lit entrance of the building before .

"I’m coming out." Hazel croaks and hangs up. I tap my finger patiently on the steering, peering out the window to look at the door of the building, while waiting for her. I want to see that wench Asami.

My jaw tightens. Natalie hasn’t said a word to about the party and I have no clue about what happened in there but one thing I know for sure is soone doesn’t croak if she had a great ti. Hazel sounds unwell and she went from not showing up at all to asking to pick her up.

I’m fucking worried. I huff, still staring at the entrance. The door is still shut and I’m torn between barging in there or waiting for one more minute.

I tap my fingers on the steering impatiently. I get a glimpse of the ti on my watch. It’s been two minutes since I arrived and let her know I’m here.

Okay, I’m going in!

I take my seat belt off and open my door when chatter fills my ears. I peer my head back to the door and Hazel cos out.

Impatient are we, Killian? My mind taunts. A frown forms on my face. Hazel is talking to soone. I can’t see the person because the door blocks the person’s body away from my view nor can I hear what they’re saying but from the look of the person’s hands and the way Hazel leans forward, I can tell she just hugged the lady at the door.

I swallow. Jealousy paints my face. I’ve been worried sick about her, the least she can do is not keep waiting because of soone else.

Why does my blood boil so much? I roll my eyes. I step out the car once the door closes behind her and walk to the passenger seat. Hazel makes her way to . Her hands envelope my body the mont she stands in front of , squeezing into a hug. At first, I was stunned, then my hands ward up to her skin, hugging her too.

"I never want to leave your side and drink what I don’t know ever again!" She moans, sinking her face into my chest. I run my hand down her hair, holding her tight.

What does she an by drink what she doesn’t know? I have so many questions but I doubt she wants to be asked questions while standing after a most likely exhausting evening.

"Let take you ho. Unless you want to stay at your dorm." My voice is firm yet laced with concern. Part of doesn’t want her to suggest the latter even though I proposed it.

"Please, rid of crowded places. I want to go ho. Your ho." She whispers into my chest. Her fingers clutch my shirt and I can tell she doesn’t want to break free from the hug just yet.

I hold her to . Since I’m out here standing, there’s not much my eyes can do but wander around. This looks like a newly built estate. I can tell because everything, down to the desolation screams it. I wonder who in the right mind will choose to live here.

I don’t know, rich people?

I sigh, looking at the duplex. A figure by the window catches my attention, causing my brows to crease. The face staring down at looks upset.

The only nosy person I know who’d delightfully give that glare is Asami. My body stiffens a little. Hazel looks fine and I can’t tell if Asami did anything to her but once I get that tape from Natalie and discover that she dared to do sothing sketchy, it won’t be funny.

"My legs hurt." Hazel’s voice puts out of the thoughts running in my head. "Ready to leave?"

I smile, letting go of her. "Was waiting for you to consent to that." I say. "Stay in the back. You can lie down during the drive." I suggest.

Hazel nods and I reach my hand back to open the back seat door for her. She uses my hand for support to walk in and when she was comfortably sat, I close the door. My gaze trails up back to the window where Asami glared at us. She’s gone.

I take a deep breath and exhale gently. Life never gives a break, even when things are supposed to go smoothly for , sothing problematic must always pops up.
